” Some say that’s the legend. Not so. You see, I knew him once, when he was just a dog at a men side. And even all this land is his, every summer, when he comes down to the valley, he remembers kind hands and old masters… before he went to his own… became his own master… before he heard the call. “
The Call Of The Wild delighted audiences upon opening February 21, earning an 89% Verified Audience Score on RottenTomatoes®. Adapted from the novel by Jack London, it vividly brings to the screen the story of Buck, a big-hearted dog whose blissful domestic life is turned upside down when he is suddenly uprooted from his California home and transplanted to the exotic wilds of the Canadian Yukon during the Gold Rush of the 1890s. As the newest rookie on a mail delivery dog sled team — and later its leader — Buck experiences the adventure of a lifetime,...

In today’s film news roundup, “The Trip to Greece” will be released on May 22, Easter weekend will see a TV release of Fathom Events’ “Jesus,” and a Mary Pickford project is in the works.
‘The Trip’ Returns
IFC Films has set a May 22 digital and on demand release for the Steve Coogan-Rob Brydon comedy “The Trip to Greece,” the third sequel in director Michael Winterbottom’s travel series.
The trailer, released Wednesday, shows the duo retracing Odysseus’s footsteps in only six days with stops at the Temple of Apollo at Delphi, the Ancient Agora of Athens, the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, the island of Hydra, the Caves of Diros and Niokastro Fortress in Pylos. There are also the trademark celebrity impressions — Marlon Brando and Sean Connery in the new iteration — plus gourmet meals and plenty of barbed commentary, such as Coogan asserting that he’s gotten better looking with age.

After returning from a three week hiatus, Supernatural didn’t waste any time in forcing us to be on the edge our seats, now did it? Continuing to show how this world of hunting exists not in black and white, but in shades of grey, makes for some extremely compelling television, especially when you put British Man of Letters Mick Davies into the mix in order to illustrate such a point.
In last night’s episode, “Ladies Drink Free,” the producers took this to a new level by having Davies get his hands dirty in one of the most morally ambiguous cases to be presented this year. And, as the latest promo video illustrates, next week’s offering will be no less of a white knuckle ride.
From what we can tell, Mick will have to choose between following orders or continuing to forge his working relationship with Sam and Dean.

Here's a tricky situation... Canadian readers please play along and don't spoil anything... Being Erica returns in the U.S. on SoapNet tonight for the premiere of the third season. It's tricky, because the show has already aired in Canada, and I get CBC.
For two seasons, this has been one of my favorite shows, and it proves itself again with the entry into the third season. It's rare for a show to be this serious while playing up rather fantastic elements, and Being Erica is the perfect balance of not only its themes and components, but also of the bravery to shake itself up and the talented writing to bring such shake ups home while somehow maintaining the same feel and flavor.
For the uninitiated, Being Erica revolves around Erica Strange (Erin Karpluk), and the curious events that follow from her dissatisfaction with her life. She meets up with Dr.

Canadian TV export 'Being Erica,' which follows the misadventures of a woman in therapy, is returning to SOAPnet for its third season. Erica Strange (played by Erin Karpluk) doesn't just "go" to therapy; instead, her therapist makes it possible for her actually travel back in time to relive the events in question. Joining Erica this season is Adam Fitzgerald (played by Adam Fergus), another time-traveling patient -- and more than likely a love interest.
TV Squad took a moment to chat with Karpluk and Fergus about what this upcoming season has in store, why this show seems to have international appeal, and whether or not romance blooms at therapy.

The TV series Being Erica - which premiered two days ago on the Canadian TV network CBC - has always given us so much surprises. I had a phone interview with Erin Karpluk, the show's leading lady, and she told me what we should expect from the third season.
Obviously, my aptitudes in English pronunciation were rusty because I haven't spoken a word in English to someone on a regular basis for three years. Anyway, the interview was a pleasant experience.
Anh Khoi Do: Now that this season's opener revealed that a group therapy was waiting for Erica behind the mysterious door, how did you react when you learned that Erica will be going through a group therapy?

CBC, a Canadian TV network, announced that its hit original series Being Erica's third season will premiere Tuesday, September 21 at 9 Pm. This premiere happens to be one week after the release of the show's second season on DVD on September 14.
Those who have seen the second season knows that Erica Strange (Erin Karpluk), a thirty-two-year-old woman from Toronto, broke up with her boyfriend, Ethan Wakefield (Tyron Leitso). Besides, she got fired from her job as a junior editor at River Rock, a publishing house along with her boss (and also friend), Julianne Giacomelli (Reagan Pasternak). As the second season's cliffhanger suggested it, Erica and Julianne have decided to found a publishing house of their own.
Brent Kennedy (Morgan Kelly), Erica's and Julianne's former colleague, is now the editor at River Rock. Because he holds a grudge against Erica and Julianne, he'll stop at nothing to put them out of business.
