Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a doctor putting his hand on your crotch and telling you to cough. Kafgh!!!! Hey. Supposedly, we got a big tag match for the main event. The teacher with a dynamite ass always says that you should drop your pants if you want me to raise your grade. Well, Mr. Nathan is in the room and last week’s assignment is due now. Does Impact have questions 4 through 10 finished and ready to grade? The last few projects we’ve had like this, Impact got lazy and tried to copy off of the slow kid’s paper. Vince McMahon! Stop chewing your foot! Tony! Why are you sniffing Vince’s ass? Cornette! Stop hitting everybody! Keep your hands to yourself or I’ll send you to detention with Vince Russo! That was...

Welcome to this week’s All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a whole show on Chris Jericho’s Rock N’ Wrestling Cruise Ship event. If any of the wrestlers piss us off, do we get to toss their asses into the sea? I wish I could chuck Donald Trump into the ocean. Hell, maybe the giant Dorito would melt like The Wicked Witch in a watersports joint. Anyway, Gabe Sapolsky just got mad that political stuff was brought into wrestling and his wrestlers are mad at him for not being paid any-thing. Let’s go Dory Funk ourselves!

Welcome to this edition of The Last Week In Wrestling, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a big week to cover, with leagues like Evolve and All Elite Wrestling jumping in with the normal group to round out our field of competition. Sounds like Olympics coverage, doesn’t it? Okay, let’s start the Olympics…I me…you know what I meant.
Best Promo:
The Master Of Hardcore Has Returned (Evolve) – Paul Heyman cut a juggernaut of a promo where he spoke to the people at the Evolve Anniversary show about his legacy in Extreme Championship Wrestling and the legacy of Evolve itself. This was the rare time where he spoke out of character and was seen as a sympathetic person.
Best Moment:
Io Shirai Is Bad To The Bone (WWE) – On Nxt, Io debuted the aspects of her new life as a villain and did so in stark,...

With All In such a success on Saturday night, there will be a lot more focus from casual fans on the independent wrestling scene. Thanks to the WWE, some of those promotions will get more visibility than others. One of those promotions is Evolve Wrestling. For fans who are unaware, the WWE has been working with Evolve for a while now. The promotion is booked by Gabe Sapolsky, one of the key bookers for Ring of Honor Wrestling in the past. It is Evolve that helped wrestlers like Johnny Gargano, Adam Cole, Ricochet and Dean Ambrose get noticed by the […]

Ever since its founding in 2010, Evolve has been one of the premier independent wrestling organizations in the country. Founded and run by former Ring of Honor booker Gabe Sapolsky, the company quickly built its reputation on delivering top-level in-ring action and putting emphasis on wins and losses. Evolve has thrived for the past six years, but in 2015 it reached a new high – the company began working in tandem with WWE.
Though the full relationship between Evolve and WWE is unknown to outside parties, the cooperation has already borne fruit for both sides. WWE has sent Nxt talents Sami Zayn, Chad Gable, and Jason Jordan to Evolve shows to make appearances, boosting the independent promotion’s ticket sales. Likewise, Evolve has allowed talent to compete on Nxt shows, and in one case, has even given a fledgling talent work and experience at WWE’s request.

Updated: Wwn Live have since clarified that Sami Zayn will actually only be appearing in the live crowd for the iPPV this weekend and won’t be wrestling. He will appear in the ring and do a meet & greet but won’t be performing.
Original story follows…
Gabe Sapolsky, the owner of Evolve, has revealed that Sami Zayn will be working this weekend’s shows for his company; Evolve 49 And 50 in Deer Park, NY on 10/17 and Queens, NY on 10/18.
This is a result of WWE’s partnership with Sapolsky’s group, and while it wasn’t revealed if Zayn will be in action, this could be the beginning of something major as far as sending talents back and forth for big shows. According to Sapolsky, further details on what he will be doing will be revealed in the coming days.
It’s well known WWE sees Evolve, and their...

Nxt held a house show in Winter Haven, Florida on Saturday evening, but the Nxt Women’s Champion was not on hand for the event. Instead, Bayley was in attendance at an independent wrestling show elsewhere in the state of Florida.
Perhaps more interesting, WWE camera crews followed her and filmed some segments over the course of the evening.
Watching @aaronsolow at @ACWFlorida tonight and sat with some of the best fans I've ever met. Future superstars...

Ring Of Honor
Ring Of Honor is arguably the third largest wrestling promotion in North America after WWE and Tna. Formed in 2002 by Rob Feinstein and Gabe Sapolsky (who had worked closely with Paul Heyman during the heady days of Extreme Championship Wrestling), it initially began because Rf Video, a wrestling video distribution service that sold Ecw product, needed something new to sell after Ecw went out of business. Feinstein was Rf Video’s owner at this time, so he decided to create his own wrestling promotion whose DVD’s would exclusively be sold through his company.
While Roh is not available to UK or European fans on television, it has a fiercely loyal fan following on YouTube and DVD. They have recently pulled off quite a coup, signing Alberto El Patron (known as Alberto Del Rio during his time in WWE). He left WWE under a cloud in 2014 (much...

Ring of Honor
Gabe Sapolsky was a co-founder of Ring Of Honor Wrestling and head booker for the first six years of its existence until he departed in 2008. Under his leadership Roh became the number three company in America through being the most critically acclaimed and popular amongst the internet wrestling community. Sapolsky himself even won the Wrestling Observer Newsletter award for Best Booker four years in a row between 2004-07.
In fact, Ring of Honor picked up a total of 33 awards from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter during Sapolsky’s time. These included the Most Outstanding Wrestler, Best Technical Wrestler and Bruiser Brody Memorial Best Brawler Awards for four years in a row plus the Match Of The Year and Best Non-Wrestler Awards three years in a row amongst various others. No mean feat for a newly established company.
But before his time in Roh Sapolsky rose up the ranks...
