- In high school he was known to carry his work off stage (never breaking character) engaging in activities such as improvisations and private moments.
- Mentored by the great Russian actor Sergey Dreyden , of the Moscow Art Theatre and star of the Alexander Sokurov masterpiece, Russian Ark.
- Pounded a midnight beat for over a month in the projects of Red Hook, Brooklyn, while preparing for his role in the play, "Nightswimming".
- Temporarily damaged veins in both hands when he punched the ground in "heads or tails".
- Starred with Anna Chlumsky in the New York revival of Lanford Wilson's classic play Balm in Gilead.
- Tested for role of Mike Stemp in 88 Minutes (I).
- Apprenticed Andy Goldsworthy in "White Walls", an installation at Gallerie LeLong [New York City, May 2006].
- Worked with famed Broadway director, Larry Arrick, on a workshop production of "The Diary of Anne Frank" (2009).
- Jeff received a Daytime Emmy® Award nomination for creating and executive producing the original series, "Broadway Master Class", for Broadway on Demand.
