- Graduated from Northern Illinois University with a B.F.A in Acting in May of 2005. He studied under Kathryn Gately, who herself studied directly under Sanford Meisner in the Meisner Technique.

- Justin has studied in Moscow, Russia at the world famous Moscow Art Theatre, which Konstantin Stanislavski co-founded in 1897 along with Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko. Stanislavski's process of character development, the "Stanislavski Method", was the catalyst for method acting - arguably the most influential acting system on the modern stage and screen.
- Lived in Germany for a year during his Junior year in high school as an exchange student with Rotary International.
- Traveled extensively through out Europe and Eastern Europe including Japan and has been to 25 countries.
- Made stage debut at the age of 3 playing an orphan boy in Miss Liberty, Austin, Texas.
- While a junior at Northern Illinois University he played the role of Richard Loeb in "Never the Sinner" directed by Patricia Ridge.
- Former drummer in punk band while in college
- Won Best Actor in 2005 for his role in the short film At the Still Point (2005). Held by the Student Film and Video Association, also known as the "Golden Reel" awards.
