Terry Saunders. They had one child, Sheryl Hurst (born April 1959-died May 2012), who died one year after her mother and predeceased her estranged father. Sheryl Hurst's connection to her mother was reported in the New York Times in a May 15, 2016 article entitled "Unearthing the Secrets of New York's Mass Graves" after it was learned that Sheryl Hurst's body had been deposited on Hart Island, which is where individuals who have not been claimed by their families, the homeless and the indigent are buried. A convert to Judaism and known as "Eliana Hurst", members of Manhattan's Congregation Rodeph Sholom arranged for Saunders's daughter's body to be interred in Union Field Cemetery, Ridgewood, Queens County, New York.
