Past community involvement includes partnering with fellow members of
Bears secondary and Meals on Wheels to "Intercept Hunger" with meal
donations being made based on player performance.
In 2003, He ranked 6th in NFL with 12.2-yard punt return avg. on 37
returns with a season-long 60-yarder for a TD after taking over
Chicago's featured punt return role in Game 2.
In 2001, He started all 16 games, plus the playoff contest, and led
Chicago with career-high 18 PDs while leading secondary with
career-high 89 tackles, including 6 TFLs, and tying for 2nd on team
with 3 INTs. He was honored as first-team All-Pro by Sports
Illustrated.
He is a favorite of former Detroit Lions coach Steve Mariucci, who
drafted him when Mariucci was head coach of the 49ers, then signed him
as a free agent with the Lions.
On March 19, 2006, He signed a three-year contract with The New York
Giants with base salaries of $975,000 (2006), $1.475 million (2007),
and $2.525 million (2008). He Formed the McQuarters NITT Foundation,
