Exclusive: Production is underway in Canada on sci fi-thriller Levels, starring Cara Gee (The Expanse), Peter Mooney (Burden of Truth), Aaron Abrams (Hannibal), and David Hewlett (Nightmare Alley).
Set in the near future, the film follows Ash — the love of Joe’s life — who is shockingly murdered before his eyes. As his world unravels, he comes to learn that nothing is as it seems.
Levels will mark Adam Stern’s first feature after making two shorts and working in VFX for more than two decades (presiding over Artifex Studios) with credits including series Continuum and Almost Human.
Producers are Stern of Orbital Mechanics, Tony Wosk of Middle Child Films and Kyle Bornais of Farpoint Films.
Amp International has come aboard for sales and has pre-sold the film in multiple territories including Germany (Capelight) and Middle East (Front Row).

Exclusive: Redbox Entertainment has acquired U.S. distribution rights to under-the-radar action-thriller Vendetta, which is starring Bruce Willis (Die Hard), Clive Standen (Taken), Thomas Jane (The Last Son), Theo Rossi (Army of the Dead), and Mike Tyson (The Hangover).
Written and directed by Jared Cohn (The Horde), the recently-wrapped film is due to premiere in 2022 and is expected to have a limited theatrical run and be available day-and-date on demand. Today we can also reveal first look images from the movie.
In Vendetta, when his daughter is murdered, William Duncan (Standen) takes the law into his own hands, setting out on a quest for retribution. After killing the street thug responsible for her death, he finds himself in the middle of a war with the thug’s brother (Rossi), father (Willis), and their gang, who are equally hell-bent on getting even. What ensues is a tense back-and-forth game of vengeance.

The Us company has closed key territories on the Croisette on its Sean Bean political thriller from Look To The Sky Films and co-produced by Gold Star Productions.
Rights have gone in the UK (Signature Entertainment), Italy (Minerva), Middle East (Eagle Films) and former Yugoslavia (Dexin Films), with talks are ongoing for France. Pacific Northwest Pictures holds all Canadian rights.
Jason Bourque co-wrote and is due to start shooting in India this week on the story of a high-level private contractor who unbeknownst to his family flies covert drone missions and is confronted at home by a businessman who believe he is behind a strike that killed his family. Patrick Sabongui also stars.
Bourque co-wrote the script with Paul A. Birkett. Production will relocate to Vancouver when the India portion wraps.
Sefton Fincham and Ken Frith serve as producers. Mike Rowe, Levi Sheck, and Media House Capital’s Ross Mrazek and Ben Rappaport serve as executive producers...
