Aman (Snipes) is on a mission of vengeance to kill the men who abused the woman he loved, resulting in her death. Or rather, he was on a mission of vengeance, and it was successful. The problem is, the men he hunter are back once again as the undead. They have now all become Gallowwalkers. So now he must set off again to finish the job he started and avenge the love of his life.
Zombies and Westerns. Two genres which you would think would go epically together. Gunfights. Undead. Horse riding. Dramatic slow motion. Epic fights for survival. Combined they could make a film of awesome proportions and as a zombie movie fan,...

Sylvester Stallone seemed really excited to announce via Twitter that Wesley Snipes was to appear in his action sequel, The Expendables 3. He might want to reconsider that decision after watching this tiresome zombie-western. Not technically a comeback vehicle, most of Goth's woe-stern was filmed before Snipes' infamous standoff with the local tax man. Gallowwalkers is a lifeless Blade wannabe with undead gunmen, lizard-faced freaks and life-sucking dialogue. There are worse things out tonight than vampires. A supernatural western following Aman, the son of a nun cursed by God and haunted by those who died by his hand. Which begs the question, why bother killing them in the first place if they're only going to come back and haunt you? Aman's soul mate was raped by a gang of gutless gunslingers, she died nine months later giving birth to a bastard child. Aman couldn't deal with the fact that she was carrying somebody else's child,...

Director: Andrew Goth. Writers: Andrew Goth and Joanne Reay. Cast: Wesley Snipes, Kevin Howarth, Riley Smith, Tanit Phoenix, Simona Brhlikova and Steven Elder. Gallowwalkers is a film, which began production in 2006, in Namibia. This title experienced some stumbling blocks when the principal actor, Wesley Snipes, was arrested for tax evasion. This project was put on hold, until his release. And now, Gallowwalkers will soon be available to western and horror films fans. The film itself is a little convoluted and some of the editing techniques are a little choppy. However, Gallowwalkers offers an interesting take on a familiar genre, the western. Initially, the film's story is all over the place. Snipes plays Aman, a man seeking revenge. Aman is also cursed by the Devil? And, anyone that he kills will come back to life. So, his revenge does not go smoothly and his sidekick is more trouble than help. Aman...

"Out here they come back harder to kill." Now what is this? Back before Wesley Snipes got in trouble and went to prison, he shot a zombie western called Gallowwalkers. It drifted around, collecting dust for years after director Andrew Goth finished it, and recently reared its ugly heading, selling at the Berlin Film Festival earlier this month. Our friends at Bloody-Disgusting got their hands on the trailer and it's pretty much a must watch based on the concept - Snipes as a cursed gunman in the old west, the people he kills come back to life as undead zombies. Tanit Phoenix, Riley Smith, Kevin Howarth and Patrick Bergin co-star. Watch the first promo trailer for Andrew Goth's Gallowwalkers, originally from Bloody-Disgusting: A mysterious gunman is the son of a nun who breaks her covenant with God to ensure his survival. "Do you remember me?"
Tax time is almost upon us and no one is more aware of that than actor Wesley Snipes. Sentenced in November of 2010 to three years in prison for willfully failing to file federal taxes, the Blade actor will be a free man this July, perhaps in time to see his latest release, Gallowwalkers. The Western sees Snipes do what he does best — dispatching hordes of the undead — as he plays cursed gunman Aman, who is hunted by a gang of his undead former victims.
If you're wondering how Snipes was able to appear in the movie while still being held in jail, he wasn't. Shot back in 2007, Gallowwalkers has been sitting on a shelf since at least 2008, until Vmi Worldwide picked up the rights and sold the U.S. distribution rights to Wreckin Hill Entertainment. "Wesley is officially back in the Us, and soon the rest...

Director: Roel Reine. Writers: Tony Giglio, Paul W.S. Anderson, Tony Giglio and Paul W.S. Anderson. Cast: Luke Goss, Ving Rhames, Danny Trejo, Dougray Scott, Fred Koehler, and Tanit Phoenix. The Death Race series of films are turning into a bit of a franchise. The original, starring David Carridine, came out way back in 1975. Then, Paul W. S. Anderson remade the original in 2008. The remake starred a very angry Jason Statham. Since 2008, the lead role of stunt driver Frankenstein has been played by the soft-spoken Luke Goss. Director Roel Reine has made the latest two sequels: Death Race 2 (2010) and the film reviewed here, Death Race: Inferno (2013). Reine's latest is his best to date. Reine is perfecting the action film with his frenetic directing style. Meanwhile, this second sequel blends genres. The action genre is prominent, but there are elements of romance and the thriller genre here, as well. Overall, Death Race: Inferno...

I’ll be honest, I completely forgot Roel Reiné was going ahead with another Death Race after already presenting a horrid sequel (Death Race 2) to an averagely enjoyable B-Movie (Death Race), but low and behold here I am writing my review of Death Race 3: Boobs – um, I mean, Death Race 3: Inferno. Seriously though, I thought the above picture was appropriate because half the bloody movie was spent with a camera focused on Tanit Phoenix’s cleavage, only to pull away when a car blew up or someone died. Exploitation is one thing, but I mean c’mon, even I can admit the sexuality was laughably overplayed – and I’m a dude.
Here’s the thing though – Death Race 2 was an unnecessary and slobbish sequel to a B-Movie only hardcore genre junkies enjoyed, literally building up to the final conflict only to abruptly end the film and...

Wesley Snipes is back, guys! And he’s more than ready to fight against a gang of zombies! Yeah, that’s exactly the thing with the upcoming horror-western titled Gallowwalkers, which comes from director Andrew Goth, and centers on a cursed gunman, played by Snipes, whose victims return as zombies warriors. Sounds promising?
Andrew Goth directed the movie from a script he co-wrote with Joanne Reay, which centers on a cursed gunman named Aman who incurs the wrath of undead warriors after he kills the gang that murdered his lover.
Or, if you prefer the official synopsis:
The movie tells the story of a mysterious gunman, Aman, the son of a nun, who breaks her covenant with God to ensure his survival. Her break with God curses her son to be hunted by all those who die by his hand. When he takes revenge on a gang that murdered his love,...

High-octane car-crashing sequel Death Race 3: Inferno's out on DVD and Blu-ray. Here's Duncan to share a few of its craziest moments...
Chances are that if you’re reading this, then you’re already a convert to the ways of the Death Race franchise, so what you’ll probably want to know is how the new film, Death Race: Inferno, holds up compared to part two. Thankfully, Inferno is just as much B-movie fun, sticking to the traditional sequel convention of being bigger, louder and considerably more insane.
While Death Race 2 made every effort to build up the new character of Carl ‘Luke’ Lucas (played by Luke Goss), while introducing his own story arc, Inferno centres almost entirely on action and makes absolutely no apologies for it. So what better way to review the film than to highlight the more gloriously bonkers moments that perpetuate the it.

The bare minimum an action film needs to do is deliver on its genre-inherent promise of action, and to that end Death Race: Inferno succeeds, but it also shoots itself in the foot. And not in a way that adds to its fulfillment of that action quota. While fast cuts have certainly become a staple of action film editing in recent years, they’re also a sign of poor choreography and not getting the shots needed to let a fight scene or a car chase make sense when watched in a straightforward manner. Death Race: Inferno has this problem in spades making it hard to care if Danny Trejo, Ving Rhames, or Dougray Scott lend the film some acting credibility or that Tanit Phoenix is naked for a few seconds on screen. In the end, the action is poorly shot, the acting is mostly miserable, and the writing attempts to...
