Awkwardly arriving the very same day as “The Bricklayer,” with Aaron Eckhart as an ex-CIA agent with the titular dayjob, “The Painter” has Charlie Weber as ex-cia agent who has taken up … well, you can guess. This more humbly scaled actioner likewise finds its uber-tough erstwhile operative reluctantly forced back into activity amid a conspiratorial hail of bullets. From that shared starting point, Brian Buccellato’s script finds its own path. But neither he nor director Kimani Ray Smith locate much credibility or suspense in an uninspired tale that also features Jon Voight, as well as Madison Bailey from the Netflix series “The Outer Banks.” Lacking in most departments beyond decent pacing and adequate technical polish, this forgettable thriller launches in limited U.S. theaters Jan. 5, and on digital platforms Jan. 9.

The "M*A*S*H" finale is the stuff of legends. The end of the long-running Korean War sitcom, a two-and-a-half-hour-long conclusion called "Goodbye, Farewell and Amen," aired over 40 years ago, yet it still holds space in the collective hearts and minds of Americans who witnessed it — and in the record books. Depending on how you measure it, "Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen" is either still the most-watched TV telecast of all time outside of the moon landing (over 120 million people tuned in) or one that's since been bested mostly by Super Bowls (closer to 106 million people watched the complete episode).
Either way, the show's goodbye was impressive, as are the stories that surround its nation-uniting first broadcast. In a retrospective by The Hollywood Reporter in 2018, series writer David Pollock recalled the bare streets that accompanied the show's ending. We’ve got less than three months to wait before the crime sequel arrives, and we’re lucky enough to have the first trailer to share exclusively with you. And as you can imagine, there’s more than enough to make this trailer Nsfw.
Taking things international for White Collar Hooligan 2 looks to be a great move, raising the stakes and the action, and you can feel we’ve got a sweet British crime movie here coming our way in May.

British actor and Terry director Nick Nevern has made a career out of depicting hardened characters through a series of football hooligan and career criminal roles in the past few years, as well as donning fangs and claws as a werewolf.
His new film, The Fall of the Essex Boys, directed by Paul Tanter (The Rise & Fall of a White Collar Hooligan), sees Nevern play supergrass Darren Nicholls, the supposed fourth member of the notorious Essex Boys drugs gang that included Pat Tate, Tony Tucker and Craig Rolfe who brutally met their fate in a country lane in Rettendon, Essex, in December 1995.
Nevern discusses the new angle Tanter’s film offers into the ongoing mystery of the Essex Boys’ deaths and who was ultimately responsible, how he portrayed Nicholls, and what it’s like working with his mates, Tanter, Peter Barrett, Simon Phillips etc.

We’re back in that muddy, rainy, remote country lane in Rettendon, Essex again with director Paul Tanter’s (The Hooligan Wars, Jack Falls) new angle on who was responsible for the deaths of Essex drug dealers Tony Tucker, Pat Tate and Craig Rolfe in December 1995 in The Fall of the Essex Boys.
The grizzly crime mystery has dominated Brit gangster folklore, always posing a fresh challenge for whoever brings another version to the big screen. Tanter has found another theory intriguing enough to rouse interest and provide an appealing watch, but it still falls victim to the clichéd Brit crime flick trap that such a genre film simply can’t escape from.
After the death of an ex-copper’s 18-year-old daughter from a bad ecstasy pill supplied by the notorious Essex Boys firm at Raquel’s nightclub in Basildon, Essex, Detective Inspector Stone (Ewan Ross) starts to see the...

Riots, Corrupt Coppers, Hooligans, we seem to have a gritty British flick on our hands people. From the star (Nick Nevern) and Producer of The Rise And Fall Of A White Collar Hooligan and accompanied by some pretty strong recommendations from online critics comes GBH. The movie also stars Jenna Harrison, Kellie Shirley, Con O’Neill, Peter Barrett and is directed by Simon Phillips.
Here is the trailer and an summary of the plot from the press release:
GBH is a powerful tale of justice and vengeance starring Damien (Nick Nevern) a London copper with a past he’s trying to forget. Before signing up for the force he ran with a football firm, getting involved in tear-ups up and down the country. Now he’s on the other side of the law and faces a tough decision: side with his old crew or protect London as it burns and rioters run amok?...

Here’s a rather nice exclusive to start the week as we can announce that Jason Mewes and Roxanne Pallett are to co-lead the forthcoming horror film, Devil’s Tower, currently shooting in Derbyshire.
You’ll know Mewes from his brilliant work in Kevin Smith’s films from the View Askewniverse and Zack and Miri Make a Porno, and seeing him take a leading role in a British movie is a very interesting move.
Pallett has been a long-standing star of Emmerdale, and most recently appeared in the BBC’s Waterloo Road, and this should be a great role for her to break through on the big screen.
Starring alongside them will be the Tony Award-winning Frances Ruffelle (Les Misérables), Jessica Jane Clement (The Real Hustle), Peter Barrett (UFO, Jack Falls), Jazz Lintott (UFO, Airborne), and Emma Buckley (How to Stop Being a Loser), in her first principal role.

“The Rise and Fall of a White Collar Hooligan” is a Brit crime drama written and directed by Paul Tanter, one of the diamond geezers behind the recent “Jack” trilogy. This should give a pretty good idea of what to expect, Tanter trying to mix football violence, gangsters, drugs and credit card fraud, with plenty of thick London accents along the way. Starring Nick Nevern (“Strippers vs Werewolves”) in the lead, the film, which lands shortly on region 2 DVD via Momentum, features a supporting cast full of semi-recognisable Brit character actors, including Simon Phillips, Billy Murray and Peter Barrett, all of whom appeared together in the recent Mark Hamill chiller “Airborne”. Nevern plays Mike Jacobs, a standard laddish football hooligan type, who runs into an old friend called Eddie (Phillips) during a good old fashioned riot. Hard up for cash and being pressured by his girlfriend to make something of himself,...
