The last time “Destroyer” production designer Kay Lee worked with line producer Nate Kelly, she had to make Atlanta double for Cape Cod in “Hot Summer Nights” (2017). So when Kelly talked to her about joining “Destroyer,” he knew exactly how to sell her. “[He] said, ‘I’m working on this great project with a director who I feel like you’re really going to gel with, and it’s L.A. for L.A., so don’t worry about it!
