- Made his debut recital at Carnegie Hall in New York City at the age of 14, he was a music composition major at Juilliard School of Music in New York, and in Italy at the age of 20, he won the accordion world championship, competing against musicians from 32 countries.
- His prowess with the accordion was so refined that he played with the Florida Symphony Orchestra in 1986. He followed up a year later by playing with the Orlando Opera Company.

- In 1972, he teamed with European accordionist Shirley Evans, and they toured the world. They made an album in 1973 titled "The World's Greatest Accordionists".
