For this season, the company has returning hits “The Handmaid’s Tale” (Elisabeth Moss), “Ramy” (Ramy Youssef) and “Shrill” (Aidy Bryant) as part of their 2020 campaign. Newcomers could include “The Great” (Elle Fanning), “High Fidelity” (Zoe Kravitz) and “Little Fires Everywhere”.

Both Solomon Kane the movie and Solomon Kane the novel are released tomorrow, 19th February. The movie is directed by Michael J. Bassett and stars James Purefoy, Laura Baranik, Mackenzie Crook, and Pete Postlethwaite. The novel is written by Ramsey Campbell based on the screenplay by Michael J. Solomon Kane is a film from director Michael J. Bassett and the film is an adaption of Robert E. Howard's character of the same name. Distribution for North America has not been acquired, but still there is a quality movie clip entitled "Hall of Mirrors" available. Several grave-robbers find a brutal death in this clip, as a cursed barrow comes to life! Check out the last few moments of these scurvy dogs lives in the trailer below.

French website, Imp Awards, have released a new poster (click the image to enlarge) for the movie, Solomon Kane which stars James Purefoy. It’s directed by Michael J. Bassett and also stars Laura Baranik, Mackenzie Crook, and Pete Postlethwaite.
The text at the top of the poster reads, ‘Combattre Le Mal Par Le Mal’ which means ‘Fighting evil with evil’.
Wikipedia gives more info on the man himself: Solomon Kane was created by the pulp-era writer Robert E. Howard. A 16th century Puritan, Solomon Kane is a somber-looking man who wanders the world with no apparent goal other than to vanquish evil in all its forms. His adventures, published mostly in the pulp magazine Weird Tales, often take him from Europe to the jungles of Africa and back.
We can expect to see it on our screens, 5th February 2010.

Premiering at the Toronto International "Midnight Madness" portion of the film festival is Mchael J. Bassett's Solomon Kane, which stars James Babson, Laura Baranik, Geoff Bell, Matthew Blood-Smyth, Brian Caspe, John Comer, Mackenzie Crook. This morning we got our hands on the official poster and first hi-res still from the film that is described by Wikipedia as a somber looking man who wanders the world with no apparent goal other than to vanquish evil in all its forms.." The character of Solomon Kane was originated by pulp-era writer Robert E. Howard, the legendary creator of Conan and Red Sonja. The film adaptation tells the heroic story of a savage warrior in 16th Century England who seeks redemption for a lifetime of sins by renouncing violence to live a life of purity, only to find himself compelled to pick up his sword once again to vanquish a growing evil.
