The 16th annual San Antonio Film Festival, which runs June 23-27, is truly a great combination of celebrating local talent and international cinema, screening films produced in Texas to ones produced in Europe, South America and the Middle East.
There’s also a distinct flavor of socially aware fictional narratives and documentaries, including films about Tibetan refugees, migrant workers, the 2008 Presidential election, alcoholism and genocide. But, that’s not to say the fest is a totally serious affair as there’s also several genre films about the World Cup, sheep rustlers, dancers, crooks and other ne’er-do-wells. It looks like a fun mix.

Passed the Door of Darkness is another Echo Bridge Entertainment release that will be displayed on DVD shelves April 27th. This title is also a Darc Light production like The Fear Chamber and the film is reviewed here. Passed the Door of Darkness lives up to the Darc Light name by keeping the first third of the film in complete darkness. This Peter Mervis endeavour feels incomplete despite a compelling story. Ultimately, Passed the Door of Darkness cannot be promoted as a quality film due to technical errors.
This reviewer almost turned the film off twenty minutes in as the picture was in complete shadows. However, patience kicked in and thankfully thirty minutes later Mervis had turned the lights on. Yet, many others will not be as patient with the film. Although, Passed the Door of Darkness recovers from these early technical faults in lighting,...

Echo Bridge Entertainment has finalized a release date for suspenseful thriller The Fear Chamber. The film is also showing off a newer, higher quality look, with this second movie poster. The Fear Chamber involves a murderous surgeon who likes to remove the organs of young women. This is not a man you want to meet in a dark alley. The Fear Chamber will be available on DVD as of April 27th through DVD retailers and the cast is seasoned with some action genre veterans. Echo Bridge Home Entertainment will be releasing Passed the Door of Darkness on DVD, as of April 27th. The film looks like a crime drama, as Detective Chris Malloy and Murphy MacCasey search for The Shadow of God killer. The film is very gory, from the first trailer, and this first clip shows the detectives on the hunt for this very Joker looking villain.
