Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal star in Tom Ford's second film, the get-under-your-skin drama, Nocturnal Animals. Here's our review.
After starting his movie directorial career in 2009 with the acclaimed A Single Man (steering Colin Firth to an Oscar nomination), Tom Ford has taken his time before returning with his engrossing second film Nocturnal Animals. Thankfully, it's been worth the wait.
Adapted by Ford from Austin Wright's 1993 novel Tony And Susan, the story begins when disillusioned art curator Susan (Amy Adams) receives her ex-husband Edward Sheffield’s (Jake Gyllenhaal) novel, which he has dedicated to her. Susan is left confused: she's had no contact with Edward in decades, for reasons that aren't initially revealed. Why, then, would he dedicate the book to her?

Back in March, Laura Benanti appeared on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and the two discussed her physical similarity to Melania Trump, the current wife of Gop presidential candidate Donald Trump. Benanti returned to “The Late Show” in July to parody Melania’s Rnc speech, which some believed to be plagiarized from Michelle Obama’s 2008 convention speech. Now, Benanti returns again to “The Late Show” to discuss her recent interview with Anderson Cooper in which she said that her husband was “egged on” by former “Today Show” co-host Billy Bush to make his lewd remarks. Jamie Dornan of "Fifty Shades of Grey" was on "The Tonight Show" Monday night (charming guy, but not into the beard - not that anyone asked) and he and Jimmy Fallon played "Fifty Accents of Grey." They were given an accent (Scottish, French, Italian, Cowboy...) and had to read real passages from the book in the accent assigned. Somehow they managed to make "Fifty Shades" even more ridiculous, but it's not like anyone was confusing it with Proust. (Jamie's panties quote was said with a French accent.)
In the second video, Jamie discussed his interest in The Rat Pack and his love for Don Rickles. He has a...

The six men competing for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series will almost undoubtedly be at their dapper best come Emmy night, but is there any stopping the funnyman who, in his spare time, scored a major radio hit with a song called “Suit and Tie”?
That’ll be the question looming over this year’s race, as actor-singer Justin Timberlake — who took home the statuette in 2009 and 2011 for his last two Saturday Night Live guest-host gigs — will try to make it a three-peat at the 2013 ceremony.

R&B singer Bobby V, previously known as Bobby Valentino, is the latest celebrity to have a sex tape leaked. Unlike Farrah Abraham's seemingly intentional sale of her porn video, Bobby V's tape might be up for purchase without his knowledge.
TMZ reports that the seller of the tape is shopping it to "the highest bidder." The site isn't sure if Bobby V knows the video is even being circulated, and he has not made a comment about its impending sale.
So what even is in the video? According to TMZ, "Bobby and the naked chick -- who we're told is a video vixen -- kick things off with some very specific touching ... before diving in to the full on sex-having." The sex tape, which TMZ claims to have seen, is reportedly set in a hotel room. Bobby V filmed the "several glorious minutes" of the video himself.

Atlanta -- Police say they've charged a man with armed robbery and vehicle hijacking in the carjacking of an R&B singer in midtown Atlanta.
Authorities say singer Robert Wilson – known as Bobby V or Bobby Valentino – parked a red 2013 Bentley outside the Hot Beats Recording Studio Tuesday night and was approached by two armed robbers. Police say Wilson complied with the men and they drove away. The Bentley was later found abandoned at a commuter train station.
Police said Thursday that Robert Unrico McFarland was being held on charges including robbery and vehicle hijacking charges. Jail records do not list an attorney for McFarland. Police are searching for a second suspect.
Wilson had a hit with the 2005 song "Slow Down" and was featured on "Mrs. Officer" by Lil Wayne in 2008.

Any discussion of TV's best in 2012 begins with a single show: "Mad Men." The standout episode of the year's finest series was also its most divisive. "The Other Woman" split "Mad Men" fans into two camps. Those who watched in horror and railed, "How could Joan do that?" And those who watched in horror and reasoned, "How could Joan not do that?"
The brilliance of "The Other Woman" doesn't simply involve the skin-crawling central storyline -- the men of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce offer Joan Holloway (Christina Hendricks) partnership in the agency if she sleeps with a sleazy Jaguar exec to help win an account -- or the fist-pumping subplot -- Peggy Olson (Elisabeth Moss) receives a job offer too good to pass up and decides to leave Scdp, and mentor Don Draper (Jon Hamm), behind. Bear with me for a paragraph as I talk about something completely unrelated to X-Men... but was anyone else a little bummed out by the first lengthy trailer released for “Man of Steel”?
Excessive slo-mo, platitude-stuffed voiceover, a color palette ripped from a goth portfolio, very obvious aspirations to be Serious. We should all blame Christopher Nolan, it seems, because the success he had with creating a dark, insular vision for Batman has so obviously influenced where DC wants to go with Superman, and not simply because he’s an executive producer on the film. In their search for a filmmaker to adapt one of the most beloved American icons, Warner Bros. went with Zack Snyder, who once scored a slo-motion sex scene to Jeff Buckley’s “Hallelujah.” Yeah, this is going to turn out great!

There are many reasons people love to bash the Grammys, but one of the most frequent punching bags is the Best New Artist category.
Whether it goes to someone music fans have never heard of (2010's Esperanza Spalding), an act who's been around forever (2001's Shelby Lynne), or one that even at his or her peak seemed unworthy at best (notorious 1981 flash-in-the-pan Christopher Cross), Best New Artist is a perennial head-scratcher.
By Recording Academy rules, the award is for a musician or band who releases an album during the year of eligibility that establishes their "public identity" as an artist. That doesn't mean it's their first album or that they suddenly appeared on the scene just that year, because, really, no act just materializes out of...

It's over: The 2010-11 TV season as measured by Nielsen officially ended Wednesday night (May 25). It was a rough year for new series -- only a handful of first-year shows made it to a second season -- but a number of veteran shows had strong seasons, and a few in particular went out with a bang.
As for others, well, let's just say that it's probably a good thing they have the summer off to rejuvenate.
We've watched dozens of season and series finales over the past couple of months. Here are Zap2it's picks (in alphabetical order) for the best and worst of the bunch.
The Best
"Brothers & Sisters": As a season finale, it was excellent. All the major stories of the season were wrapped up with just a few small teases for the next season, and we got a fun wedding with a hilarious musical number by the men.

How would you celebrate a Tony nomination? Whoopi Goldberg, who’s up for Best Musical as part of the team behind Sister Act, told EW she “worked like a dog and then did Jimmy Kimmel and The Joy Behar Show.” First-time Best Featured Actor in a Musical nominee Rory O’Malley of The Book of Mormon partied in the stairwell with costars and fellow nominees Andrew Rannells (pictured) and Josh Gad, while The Motherf—er with the Hat playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis ate pork and met Darryl Strawberry.

If you watched "Cougar Town" Monday night, you heard Laurie (Busy Philipps) give out a number to call for Bobby's fledgling Penny Can business: 1-855-pennycan.
As we told you last week, that's an actual working number. If you call, there's a very good chance you'll get connected to Philipps, another member of the show's cast or one of its creators, Kevin Biegel and Bill Lawrence.
"We're all fighting over it," Lawrence tells Zap2it, "it" being the phone with the Penny Can number (you might also hear Bobby -- Brian Van Holt -- giving instructions on how to order your very own Penny Can can). Courteney Cox was due to have it Monday evening (April 18) and was planning to take calls during the taping of "Jimmy Kimmel Live," where she's a guest.
"Christa [Miller, Lawrence's wife] and I will go after that," Lawrence tells Zap2it. "Some people are going to have it through the night,...

Hello, Everyone! It’s Monday, Monday…
Last week was amazing, what with the creation of Stephen’s Pac (love the wickedly mischievous look when he asked whether anyone had ever been prosecuted for misusing funds) and an extra day of Colbertian hijinks with Jimmy Fallon. Wasn’t that awesome fun? And all done for the good of kids everywhere. All I can say is: More! More!
The upcoming shows look fantastic—and one person I very much wanted to see a few weeks ago, who didn’t show up, is back on the schedule. Yea!
Monday, April 4th: Andrew Chaikin
This guest is thrilled to be on the show—just go to his website and the first thing you’ll see is a big image from The Colbert Report opening credits, with Stephen grasping the flag. And I’m pretty happy to have Andrew Chaikin on too, because Stephen always...

Chris Brown has scored his first No. 1 album with "F.A.M.E.". Despite some negative publicity which he received in the days that led to the album release, he still managed to top Billboard Hot 200 by selling around 270,000 copies with his fourth studio album.
Breezy previously hoped to sell 1 million with the effort, but he's still grateful with the actual sale number. "I wanna thank all of my fans for making my album number 1 in the country!" the R&B performer tweeted, sending thank-you note to his devotees. "I love you! We did it."
Trailing behind Breezy is Jennifer Hudson. The "American Idol" alum bows at No. 2 with her sophomore set "I Remember Me" which has sold more than 165,000 copies in its first week on sale. Rounding up the top 3 is former champ Adele's "21" with additional 96,000.
The other new entries which flood the rest of the chart are The Strokes' "Angles" at No.

As predicted, Chris Brown will land his first #1 Billboard 200 album-chart debut when his latest release, F.A.M.E., tops the tally next week. The new LP from the embattled Brown sold 270,000 copies, which was enough to put him ahead of the #2 premiere of Jennifer Hudson's I Remember Me, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan.
Brown's previous efforts, 2005's Chris Brown, 2007's Exclusive and 2009's Graffiti, debuted at #2, #4 and #7, respectively.
The second album from Oscar-winner Hudson moved 165,000 copies and was one of seven new faces in a revamped top 10. Also crashing the upper part of the chart were the Strokes, whose first new effort in five years, Angles, landed at #4 (89,000 copies sold), followed by gospel great Kirk Franklin's Hello Fear at #5 (87,000), the...

Crooner says track shows both his 'good' and 'put it on ya' sides.

Bobby V has carved out a career cranking out bedroom burners and teaming up with MCs like Ludacris and Lil Wayne along the way. Usually, he works with the rap stars for the club records and goes solo on the sexy stuff. But for one of his latest sensual cuts, "Alter Ego," the Mississippi crooner combined the hip-hop and R&B worlds by teaming up with 50 Cent.
Bobby stopped by the MTV News office earlier this week, and he explained that even though Fif has amassed his entertainment conglomerate on the strength of his gruff persona, the "Slow Down" crooner said the G-Unit Mc's newly toned-down swagger was just right for the record, which dropped late last year.
"I think that he was perfect for that. He's been doing a lot of songs now.

Hello Survivor fans! The cast for the new season, Survivor: Redemption Island, has been revealed. Well, I should say, sixteen of the eighteen players have been revealed. In addition to a couple of former NFL football players and a former Miss America contestant, two previous Survivor players will return to the game for another shot at the title of "Sole Survivor." This is not the first time Survivor has brought back former players in a non-All Star season. Bobby Jon and Stephenie form Survivor: Palau (they of the "our tribe never won an Immunity Challenge" season), were brought in to lead the tribes in Survivor: Guatemala. Similarly, two former players will be back to lead the new tribes.
Now, speculation has been rampant that those two players are Boston Rob and Russel Hantz, who had feuded with each other as tribemates in Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains. As the...

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy sold nearly half a million in first week.

Kanye West
Photo: Kevin Winter/Getty Images
In the biggest album release week of the year, Kanye West and Nicki Minaj pulled way ahead of the pack. Preliminary figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan peg his My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy debuting with more than 495,000 copies sold compared to 375,000 for Minaj's long-awaited major-label debut, Pink Friday.
Though some questioned Kanye's decision to leak one song per week in the months leading up to the release of Fantasy, including nearly all of the album's major tracks, in the end, fans still appear to have come out for the rapper's fifth studio album. Fantasy matched the #1 debut of Kanye's previous effort, 2008's vocal-heavy 808s & Heartbreak, which moved 450,000 copies in its first week.
Neither, however, come close to reaching the Mc's chart peak, which he achieved in 2007 with Graduation,...

Bobby V's "Altered Ego" music video which features 50 Cent has hit the web. It includes scenes from previously-unveiled clip, which is sans Fiddy, and adds some fresh footage which sees Bobby and Fiddy singing and rapping side by side.
"Altered Ego" reportedly comes from production hands of Dre and Vidal. The song is taken from the recording session of Bobby's upcoming fourth studio album "Fly on the Wall" which is due later this year.
"This album is a testament to my experiences in this industry and through it all I've been a Fly on the Wall learning the ins and outs of the music business along the way," he said. "I've had a lot of ups and downs but can always depend on my fans. Through the ups my fans keep me grounded and through the downs my fans keep me motivated. Everything I do is for them."

Chicago – If you’re like most people, you probably wrote off “Cougar Town” after hearing the overly simplified concept or watching the incredibly sporadic first few months of the ABC series. You should take another look. The Courteney Cox vehicle, now on DVD, changed gears so radically that there’s a special feature about the mid-season shift in tone on the DVD and I have a feeling this series could improve even more in season two, finding a rhythm that it could maintain for years to come.
DVD Rating: 3.5/5.0
“Cougar Town” stars the very gifted Cox as a single mom named Jules dealing with the pitfalls of being a 40-year-old woman in Florida in 2010. After being recently divorced, she manages weekly issues of motherhood, friendship, career, and dating. From the very-talented Bill Lawrence (“Scrubs”), “Cougar Town” started off a weak partner to ABC’s brilliant “Modern Family” but ended strongly...

Bobby V who is formerly known as Bobby Valentino has debuted a music video for his new single "Phone #". Directed by Fat Katz, it was filmed on South Beach of Miami and follows the R&B singer and his featured guest Plies spending a warm day with bikini girls.
