Everton have confirmed that they are looking at plans for the club to move to a new stadium in Walton Hall Park.
The club will work alongside Liverpool City Council and housing association Liverpool Mutual Homes, among other partners, to try to bring the proposal to fruition, and hope it would form part of the regeneration of North Liverpool.
The council are keen to see a comprehensive regeneration of the area and believe more than 1,000 jobs could be created in the process. Although details are vague at present, it is believed the club would have to fund the stadium on their own and would receive no financial support from the council.
The Liverpool Echo estimates the stadium would cost around £200 million and would be part funded by a naming rights deal and the sale of current home Goodison Park. However, there are no current details on how the club...

The latest piece in Legendary Entertainment‘s TV operations has fallen into place, with the company saying today it is forming a global television distribution division that will be headed by veteran Michael Grindon, who had been head of Sony Pictures Television International for 15 years. Grindon will report to Bruce Rosenblum, president of Legendary Television and Digital Media, who since being hired last spring has overseen the expansion of Legendary’s TV unit that now has the capacity to develop, finance and self-distribute its fare worldwide. It’s the latest big movie for Legendary, which in December bolstered its TV roster with its first acquisition, nabbing indie producer Asylum Entertainment for north of $100 million by outbidding rivals in the midst of Legendary’s first development season, when it set up several projects. The plan is for Asylum to serve as a production label for non-scripted, long-form, sports and other genres.

The whole thing is based on an idea by Chap Taylor. Peter Johnson will script the comic while, at the same time, McG is developing the project as a feature film. Oh, and they're looking to take the idea to television as well. Talk about flooding the market. This puts McG back in spookshow territory as his Wonderland Sound and Vision is also behind the successful Supernatural .

"Changing Lanes" scribe Chap Taylor's "Haunted City" is set to be the first title of a new transmedia label launched by McG's Wonderland Sound and Vision reports Deadline.
Wonderland aims to create properties out of original ideas that will be developed as graphic novels and potentially features, series and video games. 'City' is described as a dark, supernatural story set in major cities around the world.

McG's Wonderland Sound and Vision has launched a comics imprint to create 'transmedia' properties. The Terminator Salvation and Charlie's Angels director is working with Aspen Comics to create titles that can then be developed into feature films and television shows, reports Deadline. Wonderland's first title will be Haunted City, based on a concept from screenwriter Chap Taylor (Changing Lanes), who is writing the comic alongside Wonderland's Peter Johnson. Haunted City will also be developed into a movie screenplay that McG hopes to direct, a TV pilot that Wonderland will executive produce, and a potential video game. "As a filmmaker, (more)...

After reading the reviews for Terminator: Salvation, director McG learned a lot about horror in print. In fact, we're sure that his spine is tingling to this very day. Still, you can't just grab your ball and go home, and the man has some new stuff cooking.

McG has directed a slew of big films, but they're always disappointing. Is anyone really a fan of Charlie's Angels, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle or Terminator: Salvation? None of them are quality films, which is why I'm always concerned when his name is attached to anything. While he preps Ouija for Platinum Dunes, he'll be developing a new comic book line that he hopes will be adapted into feature films for him to direct. Chicago – After realizing that “Human Target” was not going to be their next “24,” Fox has moved the program to Friday nights, starting November 17th, where it could easily reside as a guilty pleasure for years to come. The program is a throwback to the action series escapism of the 1980s but with modern production values that make it a very-enjoyable thrill ride in HD. It’s not going to win awards or change the TV landscape, but it works on its own terms.
Television Rating: 3.5/5.0
The massively charming Mark Valley (“Fringe”) stars as Christopher Chance aka The Human Target, a minor character from the world of comic books. The Human Target is not your average superhero. He wears no cape and has no superpowers. Unless you count an apparent complete lack of fear as a superpower. Chance is a hired gun, a human shield who does whatever it takes to protect his assignment.

That sound you heard was my exclamation of joy as the review copy of Human Target: The Complete First Season landed on my desk yesterday. I would’ve had this review done by then, but I was too busy watching the entire season from start to finish. Of course, when you have a great show, you expect an equally great home release; read on to find out if Human Target got what it deserved.

Did I mention that I love Human Target? I’m not just a fan, but I’m also the official president of the Human Target Fan Club. Regular readers will be aware that I don’t throw my support behind a show lightly, but I not only liked Human Target, I fell in love. I haven’t been this excited about a TV show since 24 premiered almost a decade ago.

The CW’s “Nikita” Facebook page has released a batch of official images from the show’s upcoming September 9 premiere episode. The images also give us our first look at Lyndsy Fonseca (“Kick Ass”), playing the young girl who Shane West’s character is trying to mold into the new Nikita. The original Nikita, of course, is Maggie Q., who has gone Awol from her shady government agency, which doesn’t sit well with them, being all shady and whatnot. “Nikita”, based on the Luc Besson movie “La Femme Nikita”, is from producers McG and Peter Johnson, and co-stars Aaron Stanford, Tiffany Hines, Melinda Clarke, Xander Berkeley, Neil Davison, Mark Day, Ashton Holmes, and Sebastien Roberts. Three of the new batch of premiere images below. See the rest in our “Nikita” Season One preview page.

Four-and-a-half years before they were trying to prevent the Apocalypse the Winchester brothers debuted on The WB looking like an X-Files clone without the pretense of science. Despite that uncertain start, the show has evolved into a clever, witty action/adventure series that successfully treads the fine line between scaring audiences and being viewer-friendly enough to please advertisers. Although Season 1 is not Supernatural at its best, it is an essential and entertaining prelude to the Apocalypse arc and is blessed by the benefits of hi-def.
Supernatural arrived on TV screens in the Fall of 2005 looking like one of the more likely genre shows debuting that year to be canceled. Its simple monster-of-the-week format had been done before.
