John Regan is nothing if not tenacious. We've been covering his project Sherwood Horror since 2009, with the last update given over four years ago. Still, he's holding on to his dream, and you have to appreciate that. Here's a pair of new stills from his upcoming proof of concept trailer, which we should see soon.
In the movie ex-con Rob Locksley returns home after a six-year absence to find his town under the rule of vampires. He must join forces with his old roughneck hunting buddies to wage war against the evil sheriff and his horde of blood-sucking minions.

Actress Nicole Cherie Saletta is now on board to play the lead role of Ashley Honors in the dark thriller Donors, it has been announced.
Filming will start this month in Yuma, Arizona, with the project expected to be ready for a late 2012 release.
Nicole is best known as playing Deena, the on-off girlfriend of Simon Camden for five seasons of the Warner Bros hit TV family drama 7th Heaven, produced by Aaron Spelling. She also starred recently in the action/drama Benjamin with actor and filmmaker DJ Perry, who has signed on to Donors as a producer and to play the antagonist.
Perry said: "The film was going to succeed or fail on the power of the actress cast and that is why we needed Nicole."
The thriller, written and directed by Charles Pisaeno, centres on a troubled young woman who is prone to lying and deceit to survive.

'Sherwood Horror' has long been sitting on the pre-production fence but it finally looks as though it's making progress on casting its Maid Marion, in the form of Albanian actress Alma Saraci (below) ('Spiral', 'Diary of a Serial Killer'). DJ Perry is a writer, actor and producer for several films across genres. His recent film credits include "Ghost Town: The Movie," and "Blood Ties;" as well, this prolific filmamker has over a dozen other projects currently in pre or post-production. Herbert Brindl drops me a line on "Gps," an action thriller set in the woods of the Pacific Northwest. Involving a group of enthusiastic treasure hunters in search of millions this group will have to contend with other adventurists with the same goal. Released recently on DVD this feature involves DJ Perry a prolific actor and the stylish writings of Eric Colley.
