Gary. Gary? Gary!? It just feels wrong. But it's true, newly uncovered illustrations by J.K. Rowling herself revealed the author originally named one of her Harry Potter characters Gary. And there's more! You really don't know what you're going to find on Pottermore on any given day. While it's changed its appearance this year there are still hidden gems popping up now and then. TheRowlingLibrary.com recently pointed out that Rowling's old illustrations have been popping up in random posts on the official fan site. They say three are entirely new to fans while several others are now available at higher resolutions than they have been in the past. Here are the new ones: Found on Pottermore's Peeves entry. This one is from a bit of writing on potions. And on the History of the Quidditch World Cup page. But a fan had a question about another illustration, one which featured Neville,...

Warner Bros.. new religious epic Apostle Paul has found its leading man in the shape of Hugh Jackman, with the Australian set to take on the titular biblical role (a.k.a. Saul of Tarsus). Jackman will work as a producer on the project too, a position he will share with both Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. According to Deadline, Jennifer Todd and Chris Clarke will join this trifecta of bona-fide acting titans as producers on Apostle Paul. Clarke and Todd have been instrumental in bringing the film to the big-screen, which they hope will match the box office of other recent religious features such as Noah, Exodus: Gods And Kings, God.s Not Dead, Son Of God and The Passion of the Christ. Meanwhile Matt Cook has been given the duty of writing the script. Apostle Paul will see Jackman star in the role of the Jewish man of...

Hugh Jackman is said to be attached to a new Biblical film called Apostle Paul.
Deadline reports that the actor will play Paul, who is also known as Saul of Tarsus, and produce the film alongside Matt Damon and Ben Affleck under their Pearl Street banner.
A screenplay is being written by Triple Nine's Matt Cook, with the film being co-produced by Jennifer Todd and Chris Clarke. Warner Bros will also produce the film.
Although details of the narrative are unknown, the disciple the film is based on has had a great deal written about him. Paul was converted on the Road to Damascus when Christ appeared to him and he was blinded, before having his eyesight restored by a man called Ananias when he prayed for him.
He went on to preach across Rome and found a number of churches, and he is credited with writing 14 of the New Testament's 27 books.

The creative trifecta of Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Hugh Jackman might not muster the image of a “faith-based project” in your mind’s eye, but that’s exactly what’s happening, as Deadline reports the trio are bandying together to develop Apostle Paul for Warner Bros. Damon and Affleck will produce with Jennifer Todd under their Pearl Street Films banner, along with project lynchpin Chris Clarke and Jackman. Work on the screenplay is being carried out by Matt Cook (Triple Nine, By Way Of Helena).
The religious picture is based on the life of the Apostle Paul. A Jewish man who converted to Christianity after a visit from God, he went on to allegedly write 14 of the 27 books in the New Testament. In light of several Christian-centric movies hitting the big screen in the last few years, this emerging trend is showing no signs of slowing down. Which in itself is interesting,...

Special effects designer Chris Clarke has created a realistic animatronic baby to use on soap operas in the United Kingdom. Because of laws limiting time on set for child actors and the complications that arise from filming infants (like the fact that no one wants dead babies on their hands) the robot is necessary, cost-effective, and accurate. It is also completely horrifying. This video of the skinless, skeletal mutant-cyborg-child twitching all over doesn't exactly help. It's not like Clarke did a bad job of accurately portraying human life — in fact, what's so unsettling is that he did just the opposite. "…I design the mechanics to move generically the way a baby does, [and] the rest is getting into the head of the baby when puppeteering it," wrote Clarke. Clarke explained that this monster was necessary because babies cannot be under hot set lights for [...]...

The wriggling, the squirming, the Moro reflex-induced jump... If you want proof that artificial intelligence is thriving, look no further than this robotic -- and yes, somewhat creepy -- baby.
The video below shows the animatronic infant lying on its back doing a pitch-perfect newborn impersonation. Babble.com reported that it was created for a UK soap opera by special effects designer, Chris Clarke, who also lent his talents to technically rich movie "War Horse." And, while jaw-dropping special effects are standard fare on screen, this electro-infant is especially surprising to watch.
Clarke told The Huffington Post that creating an animatronic human required a significant amount of research -- including an investigation into the psychology of babies.
"[A baby's] brain is still trying to figure out which electrical impulses control which body parts...I design the mechanics to move generically the way a baby does, [and] the rest is getting into the head...

50 Cent has teamed up with Pure Growth Patners to launch a brand new energy shot, Street King. But the the main idea behind Street King is not to energize those of us who haven't gotten enough sleep the night before, but to help alleviate world hunger.
Every single shot purchased will provide one meal to a child in need.
"50 Cent and I share a common vision: to address the world’s problems through smart and sustainable business models," says Pure Growth Partners CEO, Chris Clarke. "With the rampant starvation in Africa and hunger afflicting children worldwide, we need socially responsible businesses that affect real change now more than ever. And Street King can set the bar for future generations to come.”
“I’m inspired by [Clarke’s] vision and innovative approaches to tackling serious issues," 50 adds. "It’s our mission with Street King to really change children’s lives around the world.

With The Guard out in UK cinemas tomorrow, we catch up with writer and director John Michael McDonagh about the making of the film…
Writer and director John Michael McDonagh’s debut feature, The Guard, could be described as a collision of buddy-cop thriller, western and black comedy. Its blending of slick, bitingly funny dialogue and familiar genre elements is so perfect, in fact, that it’s already made its way into our list of 2011’s best films.
We got to sit down to speak with McDonagh about the making of The Guard, and what he’s up to next.
We’ve been talking, back at the office, about what genre The Guard falls into. How would you describe it?
I call it a black comedy, because I don’t think the thriller element is big enough to call it a comedy thriller. And it’s sold as a buddy-cop comedy,...
