You may know Raw Leiba from The Wire where he portrayed Stringer Bell's bodyguard, Cave. Leiba was also featured on several other TV and Major Motion pictures both in the U.S. and Brazil, including Knights of Prosperity (ABC), Kidnapped (NBC), LifeSupport (HBO)and was named Gym Magazines "Fittest Human" for 2007. Recently, Leiba and is manager Charlie Wright, visited the offices of Marvel Studios to discuss both Luke Cage and Black Panther. CoventryTelegraph.net, reports that Leiba was discussing potentially playing Luke Cage or playing the villain, Erik Killmonger in Black Panther. Recently, Marvel Studios has generated a lot of buzz about Luke Cage, meeting with Rampage Jackson and Isaiah Mustafa. Several big name celebrities have actively campaigned for the role, including Idris Elba, Tyrese Gibson, and little known Eric Thomas Wilson. Back in January, it was reported that Marvel had tapped Mark Bailey to pen The Black Panther adaptation...

I don’t know who Eric Thomas Wilson is (and I doubt anyone out there does, either), but according to IMDb.com, he’s an actor who has had bit parts on TV shows like “NCIS: Los Angeles” and “Bones”. And oh yeah, that’s the pic of him to your left right there. Yup, dude certainly has the physique to play Luke Cage if Marvel Studios ever actually gets the film made like they’ve been talking about for years now. Like Isaiah “Old Spice Guy” Mustafa before him, Wilson has put together a faux “Luke Cage” movie trailer with himself in the lead to sell the idea. You can see it below. Will it work? It’s doubtful. I could be wrong, but I don’t think this type of campaigning for a role has ever actually worked before. Hell, it didn’t even work for Thomas Jane...

Despite the glut of comic book superheroes on the big screen in recent years, there have been few available roles for black actors to charge in and save the day. It's no wonder then that there is big competition for the the title character in one of the only comic book movies in development based on a black hero, Marvel Studios' Luke Cage.
Tyrese Gibson of Transformers fame was one of the first to campaign to play the character over two years ago, and he recently challenged Marvel to "show some more respect" to Luke Cage and "get some traction" on the movie. British actor Idris Elba has also expressed his interest in jumping from the golden halls of Asgard as Heimdall in Thor to the mean streets of Harlem in Luke Cage. Isaiah "Old Spice Guy" Mustafa did both of them one better, actually putting together a trailer showing...

Expressing interest in the role around the time his "Old Spice" commercial were big, back in May, Isaiah Mustafa starred as Marvel's power man, Luke Cage, in mysterious trailer preview; somewhat self-promoting. And now, the folks from Movie Web have eyed another teaser, now starring relatively unknown actor Eric Thomas Wilson, who've appeared in Columbus Day. With the actual tentative Luke Cage film reportedly still in-development, actors Marvel Studios have met with include Tyrese Gibson, Isaiah Mustafa, and most recently revealed, Rampage Jackson. And while theres no word on whether the Shaft and Boyz N The Hood director John Singleton is still signed on to helm, what do you think of Eric Thomas Wilson's take?...
