- As a whip artist, Pony has trained and worked with Anthony DeLongis, who worked with Harrison Ford on Crystal Skull. Pony considers Anthony a personal friend.
- Has been homeless several times.
- Pony's is a direct descendant of Henry Hudson II, father of British explorer Henry Hudson (III), who "discovered" numerous landmarks in North America while searching for the Northwest Passage in the late-1500's and early-1600's. This would make explorer Hudson Pony's Great-Times-8-Uncle on his mother's side.
- Pony can also trace part of his family tree to one Richard Brackett, who arrived with the pilgrims at Massachusetts Bay Colony around 1630.
- In 1983, Pony built several "safe" bullwhips for the film The Ice Pirates. Pony was contracted by Ellis Mercantile to construct bullwhips specifically for the film, to be made from suede, which would allow for whip-cracking but also be soft enough not to hurt an actor who was hit by it.
- Currently lives in the Tehachapi, California, with his cats and his lifemate Darryl, where he produces/edits videos and creates graphic arts. (December 2006)
- In 2007, worked closely as an editor with then-92 year old actor and magician John Calvert, re-editing, color-correcting, and restoring Calvert's 1956 film "Dark Venture," which Calvert has re-released under the title "Curse Of The Elephant's Graveyard.".
- Tehachapi, CA. Currently Pony is creating visual effects, as well as doing some acting, on the award-winning web-based show STAR TREK: PHASE II. Most of his work on the show revolves around creating the Transporter effects. (June 2010)
