"Gilmore Girls" is known as one of the most rewatchable comfort shows of the aughts. It's beloved for its mile-a-minute dialogue, surreally perfect small-town setting, and a warm central relationship that's held together via the power of mom-daughter love and a shared fondness for junk food and pop culture. It's that last part that makes one of the show's own pop culture connections especially ironic: Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory (Alexis Bledel) love classic TV, but they're blissfully unaware that they're living with two stars of one of the most talked-about early sitcoms.
The pair live next door to a woman named Babette, a true eccentric who's as adorable as she is overbearing. Babette often says whatever comes to mind in her signature raspy voice, and she brings a sort of benevolent chaos to the series that counters some of Stars Hollows' more genuinely annoying characters. One of the things that makes Doctor Who so popular with British audiences, and now just as popular in the US, is the way each generation has its own Doctor to look back on. Although the show has been popular in the UK for decades, it only arrived in America at the beginning of the 11th Doctor era, but has seen quite a few Doctors since then.
Of course, it's expected that every single person who steps into the Tardis and embarks on the intergalactic adventure of a lifetime will be inspired by someone who's already been the Doctor. Millie Gibson, for example, the Doctor's most recent companion, has scored some points with viewers by naming her in-universe role model.

A new chapter in Doctor Who canon history began with the first full episode of the Fifteenth Doctor’s adventures “The Church on Ruby Road.” Series 14 opener “Space Babies” takes the Doctor and Ruby’s travels to the distant future. The adventures that follow will also feature trips to the Swinging ’60s, to the Regency Era, and to faraway planets.
While there will be moments of dancing, sightseeing, and meeting new people and beings, there will also be moments of danger. Whether from villains upset that their plans for domination are being challenged, or from extremes in the environment, there are plenty of things to trigger the Doctor and Ruby Sunday’s fight-or-flight instinct.
Den of Geek interviewed Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson about their character traits, what the Doctor and companion Ruby are most afraid of this season, and the importance of opening the Tardis door to everyone.

Although many people believe that once a show ends, the fandom it had immediately evaporates, this is often not the case. The more viewers a show has during its run, the more chances it has of attracting new people decades after its premiere. Gilmore Girls is one of the best examples of this.
One of the things that makes the show so popular is that it appeals to a wide range of ages. While some of the Og fans used to identify more with Rory, they have grown up and face the same issues as Lorelai. This also makes more viewers think about the on-screen relationships and all the possibilities the show missed out on.

After Lucille Ball's spunky housewife Lucy signed off on the last episode of "I Love Lucy" but before Mary Tyler Moore did away with the nuclear family sitcom model with her own self-titled show, another actress was one of the faces of womanhood in comedy. Oscar-winning actress Donna Reed headlined "The Donna Reed Show" from 1958 to 1966, playing middle-class mother and housewife Donna Stone in the popular black-and-white series. Reed starred opposite Carl Betz, who played Donna's husband, pediatrician Dr. Alex Stone. In season 5, family friends Midge and Dave joined the fun, but for the most part, the show was all about the lighthearted hijinks of the Stone family.
Though "The Donna Reed Show" was popular upon release, it's now perhaps most often referenced as a pop cultural window into a time before second-wave feminism, when women were expected to spend their time cooking, cleaning, and child-rearing while men went to work.

When you think of the greatest teen drama romances, it’s easy to automatically gravitate towards the classics: Pacey and Joey, Willow and Tara, Rory and Jess, and whichever side you were on with the love triangle between Brooke, Lucas, and Peyton. While the ’90s and ’00s were certainly full of great ships, there are also plenty of incredible couples from more recent teen shows worth talking about. Today’s streaming-dominated landscape may mean fewer slow burns, but there have also been positive developments: more characters of color at the center, increased LGBTQ+ representation, and less reliance on problematic tropes. It’s highly unlikely we would have gotten a YA show like Netflix’s Young Royals — which centers on a queer, interracial relationship — back in the early 2000s.

Michael Keaton is back as the titular Ghost with the Most in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, director Tim Burton’s long-awaited sequel to his 1988 classic Beetlejuice (watch it Here). Winona Ryder is reprising the role of Lydia Deetz. Catherine O’Hara is back as Lydia’s stepmother Delia. But now The Hollywood Reporter has been able to confirm that Jeffrey Jones, who played Lydia’s father Charles in the original movie, is not in the sequel. Few fans expected him to be, as Jones hasn’t gotten a lot of screen acting jobs since 2003, when he pled no contest to “hiring a 14-year-old boy to pose naked for photos, for which he was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to register as a sex offender.” He has been in a few movies since then, but his most substantial job was on the TV series Deadwood. He appeared on 35 episodes of that show...

It’s only one minute long, but at least Warner Bros Pictures’ first Beetlejuice Beetlejuice teaser trailer shows the reunion of Michael Keaton’s Beetlejuice and Winona Ryder’s Lydia Deetz. That’s all anyone can ask for in a teaser for a film that’s been three decades in the making.
Two-time Emmy winner Catherine O’Hara (Schitt’s Creek) reprises her role as Delia Deetz, alongside Beetlejuice newcomers Jenna Ortega (Wednesday) as Lydia’s daughter, Astrid, and Justin Theroux (Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi) as Rory. The sequel’s cast also includes Monica Bellucci (Spectre), Arthur Conti (House of the Dragon), and Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe (Poor Things).

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was in development hell for decades before it finally got made. In 1990, Jonathan Gems was hired to write a sequel that was going to be titled Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian. Burton considered having Daniel Waters rewrite that script, Pamela Norris did rewrite it, and Warner Bros. offered Kevin Smith the chance to do another rewrite. He turned it down. Gilmore Girls was mostly about the family dynamics of the Gilmore clan, as well as the quirky town of Stars Hollow and all of its eccentric residents. The show is beloved for being light, comforting, and funny. The town of Stars Hollow and its residents are considered ideal by fans. Still, there appears to be a dark underbelly, just like Paris Geller once predicted. Upon closer inspection, we were shocked to find out how many times the show’s main characters turned up on the wrong side of the law.

After exploring the 90s in the previous two entries, V/H/S/85, the sixth(!) entry in the V/H/S franchise, throws things back to the decade where VHS ruled the roost – once again using the found-footage format to tell a handful of spooky stories from directors David Bruckner, Scott Derrickson, Gigi Saul Guerrero, Natasha Kermani, and Mike P. Nelson.
After a brief flick through 80s television, replete with a pause on an Unsolved Mysteries-style show called Total Copy, which tells the story of Rory a test subject at Stamer University, to open proceedings. A show that the film returns to throughout its running time before wrapping things up in traditional anthology fashion and revealing Rory’s connection to the shorts we’ve just watched.

Gilmore Girls is something of a phenomenon. The series, considered a moderate success during its original run, has more staying power than most other shows. Fans rewatch the series repeatedly, largely thanks to the cozy vibes of Stars Hollow, the Connecticut hamlet where Lorelai and Rory Gilmore live. In season 3 of Gilmore Girls, Fran Weston died. The elderly Stars Hollow resident didn’t just own Weston’s Bakery. She also owned the property that Lorelai and Sookie St. James later turned into the Dragonfly Inn. Despite Fran’s death, Weston’s Bakery continued to operate.

The official Gilmore Girls rewatch might be a fall event for fans of the beloved series, but the show isn’t just fall-focused. Over the course of seven seasons, there were plenty of winter-themed episodes, and we think there are more than a few Gilmore Girls episodes you should absolutely watch during a cozy snow day. We’ve collected four that you should queue up the next time you are snowed in.
‘Love and War and Snow’ is the quintessential ‘Gilmore Girls’ snow episode
Lorelai Gilmore’s love of snow is established early on in the series. One of the first snow-themed Gilmore Girls episodes also happens to be one of our favorites. In the show’s eighth episode, Lorelai finds herself stranded in Stars Hollow without Rory. While Rory is stuck in Hartford, Lorelai is hardly alone.

Last October, White House hopeful Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced a decision to switch parties in his presidential bid by exiting the Democratic party and running as a third-party Independent. The move was quickly denounced by members of his own family, including Oscar-nominated documentarian Rory Kennedy, who joined her siblings in posting a family statement.
“The decision of our brother Bobby to run as a third party candidate against Joe Biden is dangerous to our country. Bobby might share the same name as our father, but he does not share the same values, vision or judgment. Today’s announcement is deeply saddening for us. We denounce his candidacy and believe it to be perilous for our country,” read the Instagram post signed by Rory Kennedy, Kerry Kennedy, Joseph P. Kennedy II and Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, a group that totals four of the 11 children shared by Ethel and Robert Kennedy.

If you never watched the series, Scott portrayed Luke and Lauren Graham portrayed Lorelai and they had a on-again/off-again relationship throughout much of the series. They finally got together at the end.
In the 2016 reboot, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, Lorelai and Luke were still together and her daughter, Rory (Alexis Bledel), ended up revealing she was pregnant.
So, Scott decided to give a little update on everything.
Keep reading to find out more…
About Luke and Lorelai, he said, “They’ve got a couple of kids now. That’s the big surprise, even in their old age and they don’t regret it,” Scott shared with Elite Daily.
“Jess [Milo Ventimiglia] has come back into the fold. He’s their nanny. He runs a gym. He opened up the Stars Hollow Gym.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. did not attend his 70th birthday party fundraiser gala after celebrity guests who were billed as attendees stated that they never agreed to go.
Martin Sheen, Dionne Warwick, Mike Tyson and Andrea Bocelli were listed as attendees but later said they never agreed to attend the fundraiser.
The fundraiser supporting Kennedy’s presidential campaign was hosted by the super Pac American Values 2024 and took place in Indian Wells, California, on January 4.
On December 28, 2023, the Pac announced on X:
“Superstar tenor @AndreaBocelli will perform at fundraiser for US presidential hopeful @RobertKennedyJr with ‘well wisher’ guests including Martin Sheen, @MikeTyson and @dionnewarwick,” they wrote.
American Values Pac’s major donor is right-wing billionaire Timothy Mellon, who gave $15 million, leading experts to conclude that it is a Trojan Horse for Republican interests.

Most of us can agree that TV shows thrive on their romantic storylines, but over the years love triangles have increasingly taken over TV’s romantic storylines and divided fans.
Iconic love triangles have become a commonly used trope to hook viewers in. There is nothing like declaring who the heroine should be with and having to stick with them through the rollercoaster of intense declarations of love and breakups. But despite how annoying and cliché love triangles can be, they lead to some of the best TV moments. So, naturally we decided to take a look at TV’s most infuriating love triangles.
Scandal – Olivia Pope, President Fitzgerald Grant, and Jake Ballard

Lauren Graham spent a decade in a relationship with Peter Krause before the duo decided to separate. While Graham spent years in a long-term thing, she appeared almost chronically single during her time on Gilmore Girls, or maybe she just wanted to appear single. In her 2022 memoir, Have I Told You This Already?, Graham admitted to dating some of her Gilmore Girls costars. While she made it clear that Luke and Lorelai were only a love match on screen, she didn’t give up the names of her more romantic co-stars. Don’t worry; we have some theories.
Lauren Graham dated some of her ‘Gilmore Girls’ costars
While Graham hooked up with some of her Gilmore Girls costars, she never took it there with Scott Patterson. Patterson famously portrayed Lorelai Gilmore’s main love interest, Luke Danes. The chemistry between Graham and Patterson was undeniable on-screen. It was so unreal,...

Blood is everything to the Bain family, said Kieran Quinn in the Shetland series eight finale, and how right he turned out to be. Let’s break down the revelations and twists of the finale, along with any other questions left dangling about the life and death of Ellen Quinn, and the events of series eight.

Look what you did, you little jerk! Macaulay Culkin finally received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame last Friday, being recognized for his landmark work as a child actor and beyond.
Special guests at the ceremony — in which Macaulay Culkin was bestowed the 2,765th star on the Walk of Fame — included Home Alone mom Catherine O’Hara and Natasha Lyonne, a former child star herself who co-starred in 2003’s Party Mondter. At the event, O’Hara gave a touching tribute to the star, who she first worked with when he was just 10. “I know you worked really hard, I know you did, but you made acting look like the most natural thing in the world to do…Macaulay, congratulations. You so deserve your star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. And thank you for including me, your fake mom who left you home alone not once but twice, to share in this happy occasion.

There are many good things to say about TV shows from the late 1990s and early 2000s. Some of the best sitcoms aired during the period, and they did several things well. We love the holiday episodes served up during the TV era. Several shows brought amazing classic Thanksgiving episodes to viewers, many of whom were looking for an escape before, during, and after the holidays. We’ve picked out four classic Thanksgiving episodes you should watch this year.
‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ always served up solid holiday episodes
Everybody Loves Raymond was a show that was made for holiday episodes. The holidays, especially Thanksgiving, really highlighted the dysfunctional family dynamics of the Barones. While the series had many great Thanksgiving offerings, we think “No Fat” is a classic.

Regardless of genre, fans place an enormous amount of expectation on series finales. It's not easy to carry the responsibility of wrapping up any extraneous plot threads and character arcs in a satisfying way for longtime audiences. Even the most acclaimed shows, like "Seinfeld" and "The Sopranos," can have their entire successful run overshadowed by middling or divisive reception to their respective finales. This distinction carries over to horror TV shows, with plenty of notable series marring their celebrated legacies because of the last impressions left by divisive final episodes.
Horror shows often suffer from abrupt cancellations, denying audiences a satisfying amount of closure thanks to anticlimactic endings that don't live up to fan expectations. Even some of the most enduring and iconic horror shows have come to a close with lackluster finales. Here are the most maligned endings that ruined the legacies of TV horror classics by failing to stick the landing.

There are moments when heroes get tired of doing the right thing. Especially heroes who never planned to be heroes. And even heroes who thought for a long time that they were villains.
Doom Patrol Season 4 Episode 10 poses the question, "What if they all just give up at once?"
Rita, Cliff, Jane, and Larry are dying and content to run out the clock. Vic spends time with Silas and rethinks his hero persona, giving up on his attempt to be just-plain-Vic. And this leaves Rouge, the unlikeliest of heroes, alone to oppose Isabel/Immortus.
And that's no easy task.
Isabel has all the godhead powers of Immortus to serve the mega-egotistical and mercurial intentions and aspirations of Isabel Feathers.
I mean, it would've been a lot worse if Immortus had integrated with someone smarter, I guess. The Brain. Or Teddy the Butt.
The Butt-pocalypse future would be 100% guaranteed if Teddy had manifested Immortus's powers.

While it's true the Doom Patrol has faced the end of the world on several occasions, they've never truly been this close to the end of the proverbial road as they are now.
This double-decker midseason return marks the beginning of the most bonkers superhero series' final arc.
Doom Patrol Season 4 Episode 7 sees the resurrection of Immortus, the deity foretold throughout the first half of Doom Patrol Season 4, while Doom Patrol Season 4 Episode 8 is the first time our heroes are lauded as such by the town of Cloverton.
Mixed in with all the potentially world-ending antics, we have Rouge and Rita finally coming to terms with their shared history, Larry facing a bleak realization, and Cliff making bad -- if well-meaning -- choices, as always.

The third episode of the new series The Irrational was a bit of a dud as compared to the other episodes. Sure, Alec Mercer’s original case, i.e., the Church Bombing case, got some impetus, but overall, the case Mercer had to solve in this episode lacked the twists and turns we have come to expect with The Irrational. Nevertheless, Alec Mercer remains a charming and dependable character with no rough edges. The last thing we want in the series is an angsty protagonist. The case was technically much bigger than Mercer had solved, but strangely, the stakes seemed low. Let’s take a look at the recap of Mercer and his world, where he is required by his wife Marisa to help the FBI solve a case.
Spoilers Ahead
What Was Mercer’s New Case?
In the previous episode, Mercer had remembered something about the church bombing case that happened 19 years ago.

Don’t worry if you got it wrong: The judges also would have accepted “What is this episode’s Case of the Week?”
A plane accident with murky underpinnings is the central focus of “The Barnum Effect,” but I’m most into the way that Marisa is firmly yet lovingly setting boundaries for her ex-husband. Yes, she and Alec can work together, and yes, it...

Robert Kennedy Jr. said Monday that he will run for president next year as an independent, ending his bid for the Democratic nomination.
“I’m here to declare myself an independent candidate,” Kennedy told supporters in Philadelphia today.
He said that in switching to an independent bid, he would “declare independence from the mercenary media that is here to fortify all of the corporate orthodoxies from their advertisers and to urge us to hate our neighbors and fear our friends.”

“I’m here to declare myself an independent candidate,” Kennedy told supporters in Philadelphia today.

When Luke proposes to Emily within the opening ten minutes of Chloe Domont’s Fair Play, she says, “okay.” She looks visibly shocked, even excited, and maybe even happy to an extent, but she doesn’t utter the word “yes.” It doesn’t take a rocket scientist for any sensible person to get the fact that the two words are clearly not the same in the context of a life-altering decision as big as this. In the US version of The Office, Angela said the same thing when Andy proposed to her, and despite the crowd going ballistic, the two of them didn’t end up together. What happens to Luke and Emily in Fair Play is far more severe, visceral, and very bloody. Domont uses blood as a storytelling tool in this tale. The film starts and ends with it, which is a testimony to how chaotic the battle...

The “V/H/S” franchise was already on death’s door by the time Shudder resurrected it as an annual streaming event in 2021. So it would be inaccurate to blame the warmed-over familiarity of its sixth installment on the fact that Bloody Disgusting has to churn out another feature-length omnibus every October — especially because the freshest and most satisfying of the five shorts that make up “V/H/S/85” comes from series producer David Bruckner, who should be more burned out on the concept than anyone else at this point. Nevertheless, the “Now That’s What I Call Found Footage!”-ification of these horror anthologies has inevitably confronted them with a degree of saminess, an ironic symptom of a process that leaves precious little time for quality control.

Chloe Domont’s Fair Play is an awe-inspiring experience. This film made a huge buzz in the festival circuits, and it seems right now it was for good reason. Some may have misjudged the film because of the massive attention it received and may be misguided by their own expectations, but Fair Play deserves a fair chance. Not only is it a simple and effective story, but it’s acted really well and is a great weekend watch. The story follows a young couple who are madly in love and recently engaged. They both work at the same hedge fund, where dating colleagues is prohibited, so they have to hide their relationship. One night, Emily, the woman, gets called to a bar late at night to have a word with her senior. This is the instigating incident for the turn of events that follow.
