Sigrid Sutter is a second-generation American actress from Los Angeles, CA. Critics have called her work: "quite movingly played," "has the chops," (Chicago Tribune) "a powerful performance" (Chicago Sun-Times), "superb" (rogerebert.com), and "grounds her character, and the play, in ragged emotion" (Star Tribune). Career highlights include: Mistress in the San Francisco premiere of Martin Crimp's translation of 'The Maids' by Jean Genet, Ophelia in James Edmondson's production of 'Hamlet', and developing solo work under the direction of André De Shields. Sutter played Connie in '3C' by David Adjmi at A Red Orchid Theatre in Chicago, and originated the role of Dawn Brancheau in 'Tilikum' by Kristiana Rae-Colon. She's taught acting and voice at DePaul University, University of Illinois, and Marymount Manhattan. Sutter lives in New York City.
