Exclusive: Andrew Bernstein, a director and exec producer of HBO’s The Outsider, is heading to 19th Century London after boarding the premium cable network’s drama The Nevers.
Bernstein has joined the show as an executive producer and director.
It comes after the finale of part one of the first season of the series, which has aired six episodes and will return for another six next year. The show is currently in pre-production and is set to return to filming the second half of the season this summer.

Exclusive: Comedy writer-producer Brig Muñoz-Liebowitz, whose credits include HBO Max’s Love Life and Pop TV’s One Day At A Time, has signed a two-year overall deal with Sony Pictures Television. Under the pact, Muñoz-Liebowitz will develop comedy projects for the studio aimed at network, cable and streaming.
Muñoz-Liebowitz recently came to the attention of Sony execs for her work as co-executive producer on studio’s Latinx family comedy series One Day At A Time, a reimagining of Norman Lear’s classic.
“From the minute we met Brig and she joined us on the staff of One Day at a Time, we knew we had to have a larger relationship with her,” said Glenn Adilman, EVP Comedy Development, Sony Pictures TV. “Her intelligence, originality, humor and passion are so clear in her writing. Exclusive: The recently announced Star Wars series for Disney’s upcoming family focused streaming service Disney+ based Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is being shepherded by former The Americans executive producer Stephen Schiff.
Schiff serves as executive producer and showrunner on the live-action series, a prequel being toplined by Rogue One‘s star Diego Luna reprising his role as Cassian Andor. Jared Bush (Moana) originated the project and wrote a pilot script and a bible.
Lucasfilm produces the series, which follows the adventures of rebel spy Andor during the formative years of the Rebellion and prior to the events of Rogue One. The project has hired writers as it prepares to open a writers room. Production is slated to begin next year.

Wes Craven is keeping busy on the small screen front. He's executive producing MTV's Scream TV series (debuting June 30th) and now it's been revealed that Craven has agreed to a first-look deal with Universal Cable Productions and has two horror TV series adaptations in the works at Syfy.
According to Variety, Craven is working to adapt both his 1991 film, The People Under the Stairs, and Daryl Gregory's novel, We Are All Completely Fine, as respective TV series for the Syfy network.
Michael Reisz will write and executive produce The People Under the Stairs pilot, which is "described as a contemporary “Downton Abbey” meets “Amityville Horror,” “People Under the Stairs” focuses on centuries-old horrors discovered deep within an estate after a girl goes missing." Craven, Shep Gordon (who also executive produced the 1991 film with Craven) from Alive Productions, as well as Tracey Murray and Sara Bottfeld from Industry Entertainment, will also executive produce the project.
