The 2nd annual PollyGrind assaults Las Vegas during an epic length film festival that runs Oct. 8-17 at Theatre 7 with enough sleaze and violence to make Sin City residents feel right at home.
Actually, the fest does open up on the 7th with a concert at Neon Venus with local acts like Monster Zero, Creepersin and many more.
However, the film portion of the fest opens on the 8th with Stuart Simpson‘s acclaimed Australian gorefest El Monstro Del Mar!, one of the best Russ Meyer/Roger Corman mash-ups with a Down Under twist. Read the Bad Lit: The Journal of Underground Film review of this gem here.
Other Bad Lit favorites in the lineup are Drew Bolduc and Dan Nelson‘s The Taint, which is still completely grossing out audiences on the festival circuit, and The Uh-Oh Show, the splatter-filled horror comedy by the Godfather of Gore himself Herschell Gordon Lewis.

So, you normally don't hear about what women are directing in horror, sci-fi, and fantasy? That's because other assholes don't write about it. Only this asshole does. And there's a lot of new films projects you'll want to check out, if you're a real fannerd.
Aside from German-language release Lollipop Monster by Franziska Riemann and Larysa Kondracki's thriller in mainstream theaters, The Whistleblower, there's a bunch of shit to check out this summer.
Also in theaters is director/writer Miranda July's fantasy film The Future (see our review) opening on August 5th, 2011. This is July's second feature as director, the first being Me and You and Everyone We Know, which everyone who loves arty movies said was amazing. There's a talking cat and romance and a goregous beauty to The Future. Watch the stunning trailer:

We're co-running the Viscera Film Festival, showing the best new short horror films directed by women, just like we did last year. Here's our 2011 lineup.
It's been pretty cut-throat. Out of over 80 submissions, we struggled and wept and co-director Shannon Lark and I beat each other up over what our final lineup would be. In the end, we decided, only the best of the best could play, so we counted and recounted our judges tallies and agreed that again we'd show way too many films and have our fest run way too long.
These films are just too good to not screen. We couldn't eliminate any of them. I have to be honest: I love every film on this list. We're got some Us premieres that we're especially excited about! The 2011 Viscera Film Festival Films are:

This writer recently hit the set of filmmaker Creep Creepersin’s latest flick, Lovesick Captivity, in Burbank, California, and while there chatted with the director concerning the feature as well as the slew of upcoming projects he’s currently prepping.
Our visit came on the third and final day of principal photography for Lovesick Captivity (Creepersin works historically fast); yet, we found the filmmaker rather relaxed, regardless of the time constraint. The psychological thriller, which chronicles the rising domestic strife between a man and his blushing bride (the latter is stalked by a serial killer and subsequently has been forced into self-imposed house arrest), stars longtime Creepersin collaborator Charlie Vaughn, Dylan Vox (Brides of Sodom), Jeff Dylan Graham (Don’t Look in the Basement), Robbyn Leigh (Devil’s Den), Katie Costick (City Rats) and supermodel Heather Hewitt. Andrew Ceperley serves as director of photography, and Nikki Wall and Creepersin produce along with Tom Ingram.

This past Saturday, May 15th, Dread hit the road from La to Vegas, and sometime between playing fetch with a border collie over Bloody Marys in a dilapidated desert bar in Yermo and winding up with a gastro-intestinal malady (Sin City is apparently full of germs), this writer swung by The Polly Staffle Grindhouse Fest at the Sci-Fi Center for the world premieres of director Creep Creepersin’s features Orgy of Blood, Vaginal Holocaust, and Caged Lesbos A-Go-Go.
On hand for the event were filmmaker Creepersin and producing partner Nikki Wall, and just before the two engaged in an audience Q&A for Orgy of Blood, we managed to sneak a few minutes outside the Sci-Fi Center in order to get the skinny on release plans for the previously mentioned trio as well as the duo’s latest ventures: the feature films Lake Death and Wall’s forthcoming directorial debut,...

Dread Central recently caught up with director, musician, screenwriter, and actor Creep Creepersin - the man behind such B-feature romps as Orgy of Blood and Vaginal Holocaust - to find out what he’s been up to, and it seems that the historically prolific amount of macabre material leaking from his sleeve hasn’t ebbed one bit given his current productions.
“I’m doing Brides of Sodom with Domiziano Arcangeli’s new company, Empire Films, and Sterling Entertainment,” Creepersin, who’s currently shooting the flick over the course of eight days in Southern California, told us. “This is one of the biggest projects that Sterling or myself have had anything to do with. It’s a post-apocalyptic vampire film. We are shooting on two Reds and trying to come up with some weird trick photography shit. It’s gonna be a lot like Orgy of Blood but a little bit more like an Argento-dream sequence.

Southern California Horror/Goth Rock band Creepersin is heading into the studio to record a new full length album in December. The band hasn’t put out a full length album since its 2006 album ‘Faster Creepersin Kill Kill’ (read the Fangoria Musick review here). Although, in 2007, they released an Ep entitled ‘Creepersin’s Final Chapter’ and a compilation of previously released songs and demos called ‘House of Creepersin’ in 2008.
“We never intended on going on a hiatus but the film side of our career got really busy,” says front man Creep Creepersin, who has been directing horror films with his wife and band mate, Nikki ‘Mrs. Creep’ Wall. His repertoire includes titles such as ‘Orgy of Blood’ (see exclusive photos on Fangoria.com here), ‘Vaginal Holocaust’ and ‘O.C. Babes and the Slasher of Zombietown’ among others.

Shoreline Entertainment has recently signed three films by notorious low budget filmmaker Creep Creepersin, just in time for Afm.
First up is Orgy of Blood, an erotic vampire film starring Domiziano Arcangeli, who is also executive producer. The film, also starring Chandler Maness ("Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency"), Randal Malone (Curse of Lizzie Borden), Jeff Dylan Graham (Psychosomatika), and a slew of horror genre favorites, wrapped in May. Orgy of Blood was written and directed by Creep Creepersin and produced by Aine Leicht and Nikki Wall.
Shoreline also snapped up two more Creepersin films for release as a Grindhouse-style double feature: The Creep Creepersin Double Featuresin. Comprised of Vaginal Holocaust and Caged Lesbos a-Go-Go, the double feature is a heavy throwback to 60’s and 70’s exploitation films.
Vaginal Holocaust takes the viewer on a trip where rape and revenge go hand in hand with redneck vampires and a man-eating vagina! It...

Creep Creepersin is back with another film about a violent and deranged soul who just can't control himself. No, it's not the Uncle Creepy bio-pic, it's an indie effort known only as ... He.
The film, which was written, directed, and produced by Creepersin (who also stars) in conjunction with producers Nikki Wall, Gary Griffith, and Aine Leicht, stars Ariauna Albright, Matt Turek, Marlina Germanova, Sean Cain, Jordon Lawson, Julie Rose, Paul Hough, Bryan Coyne, Destiny Jasmen Rodiguez, Trent Haaga, and Nikki Wall. It tells the tale of a man who is misunderstood and his wife that wants him dead.

Ready to dip your toes into the bloody remnants left behind by a veritable Orgy of Blood? Good because .... what? What do you mean it's not sanitary? I swear we're surrounded by pussies lately!
Nevertheless, the official website for Creep Creepersin's Orgy of Blood (set visit here) is now live and filled with all sorts of goodies including a pretty steamy trailer.
Orgy of Blood is an erotic vampire tale set in a surreal world of pleasure and betrayal. Fosco (played by Domiziano Arcangeli), a 300-year-old vampire, lives in a beautiful mansion with his wife Sabina (Lorielle New) and their adopted son Dimitri (Chandler Maness). Their lives are a non-stop lust orgy where anything goes and always does! Until Fauna (Naama Kates) and her boyfriend Micah (Vincent Hoss-Desmarais) show up and turn the ecstasy-driven clan into murderous backstabbers, hell-bent on revenge and power!

You know what's fun? Orgies. You know what is also cool? Blood. So you can imagine my excitement when I was invited out to the set for Creep Creepersin's new flick Orgy of Blood.
I was sent out to this giant Gothic looking mansion in the outskirts of the Hollywood Hills area and began having a slight panic attack with the thought that maybe this wasn't just a set visit but a clever ruse by a group of vampire filmmakers to capture a member of the press and torture and maim him until there was nothing left.
Obviously I was apprehensive when I got onto set, but I was immediately greeted by Creep himself, who looked tired and excited all at once.
“This is the hardest thing I've ever done, but it is so worth all the sacrifice,” Creep tells me while they set up the next shot.
The story focuses on Fosco,...

While at times it seems I concentrate heavily on the major Goth and Industrial label acts, my real passion for music and community is in the Independent scene. Without solid independent music struggling and fighting with hammer and tongs to make a name for themselves, we wouldn't have an underground scene to rely upon. Instead, we'd still end up stuck being spoon-fed whatever “hip” garbage that the recording industry wants us to choke down as cool. To follow over the next few weeks are a series of fiercely independent but talented acts that I think the Fangoria Musick audience needs to know and check out.
Oregon continues to be a brew pot of primordial musical stew. We attract acts that come and make a mark for themselves here, sometimes passing away and other times moving on to bigger and better things. Creep Creepersin is one of those musicians who blew...
