A member of the Grammy-nominated hip-hop group Nappy Roots was kidnapped at gunpoint outside his brewery in Atlanta on Wednesday (17 August).
Melvin Adams, famously known by his stage name Fish Scales, was leaving Atlantucky Brewery which he co-owns with the rest of Nappy Roots when he was approached by two male suspects, according to the police.
The robbers allegedly forced Adams into his white Mercedes-Benz SUV at gunpoint, ordering him to drive them to Hapeville.
When the rapper tried to escape, one of his kidnappers shot him in the leg, police said.
The suspects then fled the scene. They got away with about 30, according to the police.
Adams approached a nearby house for help and the residents called the police, said multiple reports. He was then immediately taken to a hospital where he is in stable condition.
The police have not released any details on possible suspects so far.

Get ready to jump back in the wardrobe and get transported to the magical world of Narnia! Lions, Witches, Princes, Silver chairs, and now, a new director.
The Chronicles of Narnia oddly enough is a franchise of films that I have really enjoyed. The first film more than the sequels that followed, but still they were all entertaining in their own right. The franchise started out at Disney then as the profits began to drop they let Fox take the reins. After they saw no major profits, they too dropped franchise. Now it looks as if Sony is ready to restart the franchise with a brand new look.
Sony has tasked Joe Johnston, director of Jumanji, The Rocketeer, and McU staple Captain America: The First Avenger to bring the story back to life. Mark Gordon is set to produce alongside Narnia writer C.S. Lewis’ stepson Douglas Gresham, as well as Vincent Sieber,...

If The Chronicles of Narnia doesn’t exactly ring a bell, we don’t blame you. Though C.S. Lewis’ novels were hugely popular back when they were published – which was in the 1950s – the feature film adaptations haven’t exactly had the same luck. 2005-2010 saw three movies based on the fantasy world hit theatres in the form of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. While none of them were particularly bad, the quality, and box office returns, certainly dipped as the franchise went on and the plug was eventually pulled after the third outing.
That was seven years ago, but now, there seems to be some renewed interest in the series, as Sony is looking to bring Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair to the big screen, and they’ve hired Captain America: The First Avenger helmer Joe Johnston...

Eleven years after Disney and Walden Media launched The Chronicles Of Narnia franchise in theatres, a new jigsaw of partners has come together to adapt the fourth book in C S Lewis’ fantasy classic.
Sony’s TriStar Pictures label has teamed up with The Mark Gordon Company, The C.S. Lewis Company and ambitious eOne on The Silver Chair, which TriStar, The Mark Gordon Company and eOne will finance.
The parties did not reveal the precise distribution strategy on Tuesday, however the elements raise the prospect of a desirable tentpole presenting itself to international buyers.
Sony and eOne will handle distribution. Screen understands TriStar will release the film in the Us, while eOne would appear likely to release the fantasy in Canada and could also handle in other markets where it distributes directly, namely the UK, Australia/New Zealand, Spain and Benelux.
Sierra/Affinity has a deal to sell territories outside these markets on films produced and acquired...
