Last week, Sarah Jessica Parker revealed that Aidan Shaw would factor into Carrie Bradshaw’s life in season 3 of And Just Like That…, the reboot of Sex and the City. Last season, fans didn’t see Aidan until halfway through the season. They won’t need to wait as long this time, it seems. Just days after Parker’s revelation, Corbett was spotted on set. Aidan is back; we just aren’t exactly sure in what capacity yet.
Aidan Shaw has returned for season 3 of ‘And Just Like That…’
It is a big day for fans of Aidan Shaw. When season 2 of And Just Like That… ended, no one was certain if they would see Aidan again. After all, in the season finale, he asked Carrie to put the breaks on their relationship for five years while he attended to his youngest son. Five years felt like an eternity, but...

When season 2 of And Just Like That… ended, Carrie Bradshaw was seated on a beach with Seema Patel. The pals, caught in different types of limbo with their respective lovers, seemed to find comfort in each other’s company. While Patel’s break had a near-future endpoint, Carrie’s potential reunion with Aidan Shaw was much further away.
Sarah Jessica Parker isn’t giving away the season 3 storyline just yet, but she did reveal that Aidan Shaw will play a significant role in And Just Like That… once more.

Rosie O’Donnell (A League of Their Own) has joined the cast of And Just Like That… for Season 3, she revealed in a new Instagram post.
The note shows a photo of her script from the show’s premiere titled “Outlook Good” and the name of her character, Mary. Episode 301 will be written and directed by Michael Patrick King. Sarah Jessica Parker’s character is Carrie, so hopefully Carrie and Mary will be sharing lots of screen time.
Update: Parker revealed on the Today Show on May 7 that O’Donnell will appear in one episode and they will share no scenes.
Parker, as well as other cast members like Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, Evan Handler, Mario Cantone, Sarita Choudhury and Katerina Tannenbaum shared photos from the first day of production on social media.

In Jonathan Frakes' 1996 film "Star Trek: First Contact," the U.S.S. Enterprise travels back in time to the year 2063, the year humanity first invented faster-than-light travel and, almost immediately thereafter, made first contact with an alien species. By "Star Trek" lore, the maiden voyage of the Phoenix, the very first warp-capable ship, caught the attention of a passing Vulcan vessel, causing them to change course, land on Earth, and shake hands with humans. It was the franchise's "Welcome to the neighborhood" moment. It also started a massive utopian rebuilding of Earth, as it had just survived several devastating wars. By "Star Trek" creator Gene Roddenberry's estimation, Earth had to almost destroy itself to have a "moment of clarity." After that, the technological, post-war, post-scarcity, post-capitalist utopia could begin.
The inventor of warp drive was Zefram Cochrane, who fashioned his ship out of a disused bomb casing. In "First Contact,...

In the "Star Trek" episode "Metamorphosis", an important dignitary named Commissioner Nancy Hedford (Elinor Donohue) is being transported to the U.S.S. Enterprise to undergo a complex medical procedure that can only be performed on the ship. She is afflicted with a fast-moving condition called Sukaro's Disease which, if not treated, could prove fatal within a few days, even though Commissioner Hedford has no discernible symptoms. Unfortunately for her, Hedford's shuttle is randomly attacked by a shape-shifting blob of energy and pulled down to the surface of a nearby planet. Captain Kirk (William Shatner), Spock (Leonard Nimoy), and Dr. McCoy (DeForest Kelley) have to find a way to repair the shuttle and get the Commissioner back to the Enterprise before her condition worsens.
They are not alone on the planet. Zefram Cochrane (Glenn Corbett) is living there. This is unusual, as Zefram Cochrane -- the inventor of faster-than-light travel...

As far as investigators go, Jim Rockford (James Garner) is a bit of a departure from the mostly-polished (Columbo excepted) detectives of television's first decade. A slouchily dressed detective who lived in a trailer and served time in San Quentin, Rockford was cool — if not always collected. "The Rockford Files" ran for six seasons on NBC beginning in 1974 and was later resurrected for a series of '90s TV movies. In that time, audiences were introduced not only to Rockford, but to a cast of supporting characters including his truck driver dad Rocky (Noah Beery Jr.), LAPD pal Becker (Joe Santos), and the con artist Angel (Stuart Margolin).
Garner passed away in 2014, and only a few "Rockford Files" castmates are still with us today. Those who are still around include notable recurring guest stars like famously mustachioed "Blue Bloods" star Tom Selleck, Egot-winning multi-hyphenate Rita Moreno, and "Happy Gilmore" director...

Though most of its season played out like a crime thriller, “Manhunt” on Apple TV+ ended with a one-episode courtroom drama that brought the story of the Lincoln assassination to a close. As with any adaptation of real history, “Manhunt” couldn’t include everything about the hunt for John Wilkes Booth, especially since reality is often stranger than any scripted story. There’s a lot that the “Manhunt” finale got right, some that was made up, and an entire universe of material that didn’t make it to the screen, so let’s take a look at how the Lincoln conspiracy really ended.
We’ll begin with a few final questions about John Wilkes Booth, whose surprise death in the penultimate episode of “Manhunt” had its antagonist exiting stage left before the final scene:
What were John Wilkes Booth’s last days really like?

Manhunt by Apple TV+ finally reaches a bittersweet conclusion. In the previous episode, Stanton’s Union servicemen finally caught up to Booth and Herold, who were hiding in a barn near Richmond, Virginia. The Union Cavalry arrived at the scene, leading to Booth getting shot at the hands of Sergeant Corbett. In a manner similar to Lincoln, Booth too was shot in the back of his head. Stanton orders his men to have Booth’s body buried where nobody can find him and make him a martyr.
Now that the President’s assassin is executed, Stanton and his men proceed to arrange a case against the Confederates, through which he wishes to accuse Jefferson Davis of conspiracy against the President. Stanton and his men call it the ‘grand conspiracy’ but also feel that this plan is far-fetched. Regardless, with President Johnson’s approval, they made a case and gathered enough...

In the previous episode of Manhunt, the Union officers were finally closing in on the President’s assassin. In order to pander to the former Confederates and gain their support, President Johnson takes back the land grants given by the War Department under the Lincoln Reconstruction plans. As a result, Mary Simms also had to give up her land where she had started a school for the Black folks. Mary is compelled to go back to the abusive Dr Mudd’s house and work for him once again.
When Stanton and his men get back on the spy trail to pursue Booth and Herold, they stumble upon Mudd’s house. Stanton and his men realize that Mudd’s house being on the Confederate spy line and his treating Booth wasn’t a mere coincidence and that he was indeed a Confederate sympathizer himself. The return of Asajj Ventress in Star Wars: The Bad Batch is an intriguing new mystery for fans, especially those who read of her death in the 2015 novel Dark Disciple by Christie Golden, which is set during the Clone Wars, right before the events of Revenge of the Sith. In that book, she sacrificed herself to save her lover, Jedi Master Quinlan Vos, from Count Dooku’s Force lightning, but just an in-universe year after her death, she’s somehow back and meeting up with Clone Force 99 on The Bad Batch.
So, what’s behind her resurrection? It’s a mystery with no answer from Star Wars. But plenty of theories…
How Is Asajj Ventress Back?
Unsurprisingly, the prevailing theory regarding her return from the grave goes back to a specific moment in Dark Disciple. In the book, she and Vos team up to try and kill Dooku.

Clone Force 99 is back in action.
The last time we saw the genetically altered clone troopers in Disney+’s The Bad Batch, they were dealing with the presumed death of Tech, who’d died during a mission, and the loss of clone Omega, who’d been captured by the Empire. Omega, however, had also reunited with Kaminoan scientist Nala Se as well as Crosshair, both of whom seemed to be waking up to the Empire’s true (evil) nature. Meanwhile, Hunter and Wrecker were determined to track down Omega (and, perhaps, Crosshair), while Echo joined up with Rex to fight the Empire.

Thames TV’s Rainbow was the ordinary, everyday tale of Geoffrey: a grown man who turned his back on family life and a fulfilling career in favour of living in a primary-coloured nightmare with an assortment of irascible talking animals and polyamorous troubadours. There was Bungle, a moody, stroppy wet-blanket of a bear who spent the day naked but inexplicably donned pyjamas at night-time; George, a passive-aggressive pink hippo who hid his Machiavellian evil and simmering sexuality behind a façade of lash-fluttering shyness; and Zippy, a… a… erm… (whatever the hell Zippy was) hellraiser with a rugby-ball head who enjoyed hurling hand grenades of mischief into every interaction. Whenever we think of Rainbow, it’s this cast of four main characters that comes to mind, but they weren’t the original quartet, and neither would they close out the show’s long run on television.

Have you ever wondered how characters get their names? Sex and the City used its source material for most of its main characters, but the writing team decided on the names for guest stars and characters that came later. Aidan Shaw, Carrie’s second big love, was named after the actor initially considered for the role that went to John Corbett.

Like droids, the live-action "Star Wars" films rarely pause to explore the inner lives of clones and their larger place in a galaxy far, far away. It's what makes "Star Wars: The Bad Batch" such an essential piece of storytelling to the franchise's greater mythology. The spinoff of the "Clone Wars" animated series focuses on the adventures of the titular clone squad (aka. Clone Force 99), a small band of clones with unique genetic or physical traits that was introduced during its parent show's final season. However, for as much as it operates as a small-scale story about a family struggling to survive, "The Bad Batch" also addresses much bigger issues concerning clone rights and allegiances in the wake of the Clone Wars.
"The Bad Batch" season 1 begins, as it must, with Emperor Palpatine issuing Order 66, activating the inhibitor chips built into all the clones' brains and forcing them to execute any Jedi on sight.

By the time "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3" hit theaters this year, a whole lot had happened between the popular franchise's second installment and its third. On screen, Nick (Louis Mandylor) got separated, Maria (Lainie Kazan) developed dementia, and Ian (John Corbett) retired. Offscreen, Andrea Martin gained new stardom playing demon-hunting nun Sister Andrea in the Paramount+ series "Evil," while the cast also lost one co-star -- Michael Constantine, who passed away in 2021.
The new movie's plot hinges around the aftermath of patriarch Gus' (Constantine) death, as Toula (Nia Vardalos) explains in the film's trailer that it was Gus' last wish that the family visit his childhood village in Greece. Thus, instead of a wedding, "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3" actually centers around a family reunion with all the cultural flair you'd expect from the Portokalos family. "Saw III" raises the stakes from the previous two installments by focusing on John Kramer's deteriorating health. As his frontal lobe tumor worsens, John Kramer, aka Jigsaw, is left bedridden and weak, but he still has a few tricks up his sleeve. With the help of his beloved protege Amanda, he abducts Dr. Lynn Denlon.
Lynn must conduct a makeshift surgery to ease the pressure on his brain, and she wears a collar with five shotgun shells set to detonate if John's heart rate lowers or he dies. This intense operation, which involves removing a piece of his skull, is such a memorable part of "Saw III" — even more than the traps. It is fascinating to witness the medical marvel in such detailed close-ups.

With his work spanning decades of TV and film, and a warm presence that’s equally radiant across screens big and small, John Corbett has made an illustrious career from being “that guy” in “that rom-com.”
The 62-year-old actor is perhaps best known for his role as Aidan Shaw: Carrie’s second choice on the ’90s smash hit “Sex and the City” and the second-most controversial character in its contemporary Max spinoff, “And Just Like That…”
Corbett is equally celebrated for his breakout film performance as the leading man in indie darling “My Big Fat Greek Wedding.” Nia Vardalos’ treasured love story from 2002 tells the tale of a sheltered woman and her enormous, meddlesome family introducing Corbett’s dashing fiance character, the magnanimous school teacher Ian Miller, to countless kooky relatives, the Greek Orthodox Church, and the healing power of Windex.

(Welcome to Tales from the Box Office, our column that examines box office miracles, disasters, and everything in between, as well as what we can learn from them.)
There are some Cinderella stories in the history of the box office. We can look at something like the ultra-low-budget "Skinamarink" earlier this year, which made more than $2 million after it became a genuine viral conversation starter online. Produced for just $15,000, it's a nice little success story for director Kyle Edward Ball. Such things happen from time to time in defiance of the industry norms. But the biggest Cinderella story of all time, in every sense, happened in 2002 when "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" had a run for the ages on its way to becoming the biggest rom-com ever. Take that, "Runaway Bride."
Even for those who have absolutely no interest in this particular genre, the journey of this movie is unquestionably fascinating.

Back in 2002, “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” introduced mainstream audiences to all the heartwarming moments, overbearing relatives, and downright craziness of coming from a large Greek-American family. Somehow, Nia Vardalos’ breakout rom-com spurred a two-decade-long trilogy; sadly, the third installment relies too heavily on its stunning Corfu scenery instead of an actual plot.
This is Vardalos’ first time in the director’s chair for the trilogy that she penned; “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3” is also Vardalos’ sophomore directorial effort overall. It shows. Jokes fall flat while attempts at seriousness are downright hilarious in their off-tone delivery.
Vardalos is back as Toula Portakolos, the new head of the family after her father Gus passed away and her mother (Lainie Kazan) now suffers from dementia. Toula is determined to carry out her dad’s last wish of bringing his old journal to his childhood friends, whom he left in their...

And Just Like That‘s costume designer is throwing John Corbett under the wardrobe trailer.
Speaking to TVLine’s sister pub Variety about the much-maligned Belstaff jacket that Aidan wore when he reunited with ex-love Carrie earlier in Season 2, Molly Rogers — who along with Danny Santiago oversees the costumes on the Max comedy — says Corbett “felt very strongly” about the polarizing piece of outerwear, adding, “I think it was a leading man vibe. It’s a romantic jacket.”

Spoiler Alert: This review contains spoilers from “A Hundred Years Ago,” the eighth episode of Season 2 of “And Just Like That,” now streaming on Max.
I was as skeptical as anyone when it became clear that Aidan was returning to “And Just Like That.”
The “Sex and the City” character, Carrie’s other great love and one who, in his status as an obvious second choice to Big, wasn’t really so great, seemed to have run out of dramatic possibility a while ago. His appearance in “Sex and the City 2,” with a credibility-straining chance meeting in Abu Dhabi, seemed only to be happening to cast into relief what worked, and what didn’t, in Carrie’s marriage. Aidan’s own qualities as anything other than not-Big didn’t meaningfully enter the story.

“And Just Like That” showrunner Michael Patrick King told John Corbett he had to lose weight before shooting Aidan’s return on Max’s “Sex and the City” spin-off’s second season.
King says it wasn’t about aesthetics, per se, but about story and part of a makeover to make his return for the show make sense.
“We cut his hair we took the turquoise jewelry away, we told him he had to be rock-hard when he came back,” King said on the “And Just Like That… The Writers Room” podcast this week.
And what was Corbett’s response?
“He was eating fried chicken when I told him,” King recalled, “and he dropped the fried chicken on the plate and fell down in the booth that we were sitting in and said, ‘I knew I was a fatty.’ And then he came back rock-hard with short hair.”

After seven episodes into “And Just Like That” season 2, fans finally witnessed Aidan Shaw’s (John Corbett) anticipated return to the “Sex and the City” franchise.
Now that Carrie Bradshaw’s (Sarah Jessica Parker) beloved ex is back in the mix, fans are wondering what storyline will ensue given that Aidan “was Carrie’s best boyfriend” in the original series, said “Ajlt” writer, Samantha Irby, on the the show’s official “And Just Like That… The Writers Room” podcast. “He is the one who should have won… He and Carrie had such an insane chemistry, it was like jumping off the screen. They just looked so good and perfect.”
With that said, and the time that’s passed between them, the writers and showrunner, Michael Patrick King, decided to give Corbett “a makeover” to bring Aidan back in “a new way.”

Sarah Jessica Parker was “excited” when she first learned John Corbett’s Aidan Shaw would be returning to the world of “Sex and the City” on Max’s hit spin-off series “And Just Like That.”
“I was especially excited, probably in large part, because I just love working with John Corbett so much,” Parker told TheWrap in an interview conducted ahead of the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike. “We just think he is very special and brings so much more — always — than what’s even written.”
Parker, an executive producer on the series, first learned of Corbett’s return in a preseason meeting with “And Just Like That” showrunner and executive producer, Michael Patrick King. Typically, King would pitch Parker on what he wants to do three or four months before the writers meet. These meetings focused on storylines specific to her character Carrie, the season’s overall theme and other actors’ storylines.

Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Aidan's (John Corbett) relationship was a pivotal part of the original Sex and the City.
For many fans, he was Carrie's one that got away.
While many people would balk at the idea of Carrie's person being the one that got away after her passionate relationship with Big (Chris Noth), Thursday's new episode of And Just Like That... leads me to believe Carrie and Aidan could be endgame.
Who would have thought it?
Parker and Corbett's chemistry on-screen is undeniable, but how did their reunion play out?
In true Ajlt fashion, Carrie and her friends Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) made a mountain out of a molehill over the fact Aidan was in town and asked Carrie to have dinner. The day he requested happened to fall on Valentine's Day.

And Just Like That… another Sex and the City love interest is back in play. John Corbett, who played Aidan Shaw on HBO’s Satc and its second film adaptation, is making a much-anticipated return to the franchise in Max’s Ajlt, and a new promo hypes up his debut on the spinoff. “This feels great,” Aidan tells Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) as he stands in front of her apartment building in Max’s promo. “Back where we started.” Aidan kisses Carrie on that stoop, and soon, the two are reconnecting, ahem, more intimately. “Can we talk about Aidan?” Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) asks Carrie. “You’re moving so fast.” But Carrie is undeterred. “If it feels right, and it does, then why slow it down?” she tells pals Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Seema (Sarita Choudhury). Sex and the City fans voiced many complaints about season 1 of And Just Like That…, the Max reboot of the iconic series. Miranda Hobbes’ storyline and how the show treated Steve Brady received the most backlash. It wasn’t just Miranda cheating on Steve that bothered fans, though. It was the way the show portrayed him entirely. He wasn’t a sexy but immature bartender anymore. He jumped straight to a stereotypical feeble old man. Steve seemed bewildered and weak in season 1. He acted disoriented often, and his hearing loss was mentioned too often. Clearly, the writing team was overemphasizing his “age-related” ailments. A correction has been made. Steve appeared for the first time in season 2 in episode 4, “Alive!,” and he certainly seemed more active than in season 1. So, is Steve going to get a redemption storyline? Maybe.

The Portokalos family is headed back to Greece! A third My Big Fat Greek Wedding movie is on the way, and this time it will follow Toula (Nia Vardalos) as she brings her entire family back to her late father Gus's (Michael Constantine) childhood village to reconnect with their roots.
The first "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" movie premiered in 2002, and focuses on 30-year-old Toula as she prepares to marry the very non-Greek Ian (John Corbett) in a lavish Grecian ceremony. The 2016 sequel follows Toula and Ian as they navigate family life with their defiant daughter (Elena Kampouris). Vardalos penned each of the films in addition to starring in them, but "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3" marks the first time she's also serving as the director.
Apparently "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3" was actually ready to go a few years ago, but was delayed by the pandemic.

How do you top not one but two Big Fat Greek Weddings? By having a Big Fat Greek Wedding that’s actually in Greece. Focus Features released the first trailer for “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3” this Thursday, seeing the Portokalos family head off to the motherland.
First released in 2002, the original “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” tells the story of Toula Portokalos (Nia Vardalos), a Greek woman in Chicago who falls in love and gets engaged to WASPy Ian Miller, but struggles to deal with her large Greek family during the wedding planning process. 2016 brought the film’s first sequel, which focused on Toula and Ian’s life as parents and a second wedding between Toula’s parents Maria (Lainie Kazan) and Gus (the late Michael Constantine).

It's almost time for Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Aidan's (John Corbett) big reunion, and we're already counting down the days.
HBO Max announced And Just Like That.., its wildly successful Sex and the City follow-up, will return for its second season in June.
Unfortunately, we didn't find out which day in June it will be back, but still, it will be back.
Hooray, right?
The teaser trailer also puts Carrie and Aidan back together, which should make for a fun dynamic.
The jumping-off point for the revival season focused on Carrie's reaction to Mr. Big's death (Chris Noth), and her attempt to rebuild her life.
It's unclear how many episodes John Corbett will be sticking around for, but it's hard to imagine this being a short-term affair.
Corbett initially appeared on Sex and the City Season 3 and stayed with the series until the sixth and final season.

And Just Like That … what’s old is new again.
The second season of the Sex and the City sequel series returns June 22 with 11 episodes on Max, and the premiere announcement came with a revealing first-look trailer at what’s in store when Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) return.
In the footage below, Carrie reveals she’s been having “exit out of grief” sex and says life is too short not to try something new. That’s when Aidan Shaw (John Corbett) appears on her doorstep.
“And just like that, I realized some things are better left in the past. But maybe not everything,” Carrie teases in voiceover as her former flame makes his anticipated return to the franchise.
Elsewhere in the trailer, Miranda’s romance with Sara Ramírez’s Che continues, and the trio is seen expanding their brunch reservation as Sarita Choudhury,...

“And Just Like That,” the hit “Sex and the City” spinoff from HBO Max (soon to be just Max), dropped its first Season 2 teaser trailer Wednesday, showcasing the glamorous, casual sex-filled life of our widowed hero Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) — only for it to be interrupted by a reunion with her ex-fiance Aidan (John Corbett).
Along with its teaser, the streamer revealed that the series will return this June.
The series stars original “Sex and the City” cast members Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis — all of whom also executive produce with Michael Patrick King. Joining them are returning series regulars Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Karen Pittman, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler, Christopher Jackson, Niall Cunningham, Cathy Ang, and Alexa Swinton.
The last we saw of Corbett’s Aidan was in the franchise’s “Sex And The City 2” feature film in 2010, which had Carrie running into him in Abu Dhabi.

HBO Max has dropped the Season 2 teaser for “And Just Like That,” its successful revival of “Sex and the City.” The company also announced the show will premiere in June, without announcing the specific date yet — at that point, the streamer will simply be known as Max.
The teaser, narrated by Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), begins with a very “Sex and the City” sentiment: “No matter what life hands you, you can always count on your closest friends to be there.” We then see a montage of scenes that reveal the current relationships of Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Che (Sara Ramírez) and Carrie and her podcast producer, Franklin (Ivan Hernandez). “It’s just sex!” Carrie says.
“And just like that,” Carrie continues, “I realized some things are better left in the past. But maybe… not everything.”
Which is when we see Carrie’s ex-boyfriend Aidan (John Corbett) appear on her stoop.
