Blink-182 have canceled a mini-tour originally scheduled for the fall, including their headlining Riot Fest appearance in Chicago, which takes place September 14th to 16th.
The band announced in a statement via Twitter that drummer Travis Barker’s medical issues were “still too risky” for his medical team to permit him to play. In June, Blink-182 postponed several of their Las Vegas residency dates, “due to the blood clots in both of Travis Barker’s arms.”

Lil Peep may not have been a name you knew.
But the 21-year-old up-and-coming rapper's death from a suspected overdose on Wednesday -- just three months after releasing his debut album, Come Over When You’re Sober, Pt. 1 -- sent a wave of sorrow through the music community, reminiscent in some ways of the "gone-too-young" artists of eras past. Outpourings of mourning came from all over, from ex Bella Thorne, to Pete Wentz, to Sam Smith, to Marshmello, who revealed he and Peep had been in talks to collaborate just days before he died.
And for fans of the young rapper, the tragedy is something that played out right before our eyes, even up to the moments right before his untimely demise.

In celebration of today’s release of the new Paramore album, After Laughter, we’re paying homage to the beloved music videos that perfectly captured our 2000s angst and went down as legends.
Prepare to bask in the dejection:
Paramore: “Misery Business”
We could never look as good as Hayley Williams with fiery red hair, but we sure could try.
My Chemical Romance: “I’m Not Okay (I Promise)”
We lived for the band’s misfit antics in their movie trailer-inspired masterpiece. But what did Gerard Way just want to do?! The suspense haunts us to this day.

Blink-182 co-founder Tom DeLonge is set to make his directorial feature debut with the sci-fi film “Strange Times,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The movie, co-written by DeLonge and Ben Kull, centers on a rebellious group of San Diego skateboarders, who take it upon themselves to investigate extreme paranormal activity around town, only to embark on an adventure that they could have never imagined.
“I grew up in Southern California as a disaffected young skateboarder who broke the occasional law or five, and I was always dreaming about the world around me, obsessively looking for the more unusual and imaginative experiences that life has to offer,” the former Blink singer and guitarist told THR. “That’s the inspiration behind ‘Strange Times,’ which is about the tribe of broken youth and the restless spirit that inspired me to form Blink-182 and seek out adventure.”

They’ve sold a couple of million records, played pretty high up on major festival bills, toured the world, regularly sell out their own headlining shows and graced magazine covers.

The guitar player from Taking Back Sunday was super stoked when he found out his bandmates got him a stripper for his birthday ... and then he realized, it was a dude. It all went down on stage at a concert in Providence, Rhode Island on Tuesday night ... when the band behind the hit "MakeDamnSure" surprised Eddie Reyes with a live strip show. Long story short ... stripper turned out to be a guy. He stripped down to his undies.

Versus The World are something of a pop-punk/post-hardcore supergroup, with long time bassist for The Ataris, Mike Davenport, and guitarist for Californian punk rockers Lagwagon, Chris Flippin, among their ranks. After releasing a debut album in 2005, they took a long hiatus before returning in late 2010 with plans for a new Ep and tour which quickly evolved into the recording of their second album, Drink. Sing. Live. Love.
The album’s title really sums up the ethos of pop-punk and I can fully imagine myself standing on the barrier of a gig with a beer in hand belting out some of the tracks on this record, because these guys know how to write a good chorus. A Fond Farewell will stick with you long after the album’s ended thanks to its cries of hallelujah, and These Bones follows in a similar vein.

The queue was as thick as the sun that was piling down, as long as the fringes that seemed to flop around every corner and as heavy as all those faces weighed down with sweat and piercings. Not soon enough, the beast started to chug forward and with every step that was taken up to the Solus Bar and CF10 the shade became more and more and then less and less until we (because I’m not that much of a loner, you know) were sectioned off into two queues. One queue: those with tickets. The other: those with box-office tickets and guestlist. I slotted into the latter category and after some confusion with my surname – Irish heritage does nothing for me – I was granted access to the Solus Bar, which looked bare. I could have sworn there were more people in the queue than that. But, after looking around...

Earlier this week American rock band Brand New announced the rarest of UK tours scheduled for early 2012, this marks the end of a two year absence from the British touring circuit for the act and hopefully means a possible fifth album for the Long Island five. Taking Back Sunday have just debuted a music video in support of their latest single "Faith (When I Let You Down)". The clip follows a "cat man" tasting an overnight fame via self-made YouTube video and appearing on an "Eileen Show". He then tries out a bunch of auditions for a role in the big screen only to end up landing a role in a porn flick.

Big Sean, Selena Gomez and Scotty McCreery also debut in top 10.

There wasn't much question about whether Beyoncé's fourth solo effort, 4, would debut at the top of the Billboard 200 chart this week — it was just a matter of what the final tally would be.
Beyoncé does indeed top the chart with sales of 310,000, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan. But that's about 172,000 less than the first-week tally for her last effort, 2006's double-disc smash, I Am ... Sasha Fierce, and marks the softest opening sales for the singer's solo albums to date (edging out her 2003 solo debut, Dangerously in Love, which moved 317,000).
Bey leads a parade of new faces in the top 10, including the debut from Kanye West protégé Big Sean, Finally Famous: The Album, which lands at #3 (87,000). Also new to the top 10: the latest from Selena Gomez & the Scene,...

Let’s see… the Transformers: Dark of the Moon soundtrack… here’s the track-listing… Linkin Park… Paramore… My Chemical Romance… Staind… yup, all seems fine. No problems here whatsoever. Everything is absolutely a-okay… wait… what’s that… I actually have to listen to it… oh God… oh my sweet Lord… Optimus Prime have mercy on us all… but mainly me.
Here then, dear friends, into the breach do I doth go, like. And who should I meet there, but Linkin Park. Yeah, no need for high-fives, fellas. Certainly not when you’re sounding a bit like Coldplay. Although if Iridescent and its football terrace choir are predictably bad, then Paramore’s Monster is, in contrast, a minor guilty pleasure – catchy, and with a decent vocal from Hayley Williams. The surprises don’t end there either: I last heard My Chemical Romance on a movie soundtrack butchering Bob Dylan in the...

USA Today have got a new image of Shockwave, the main villain of the upcoming Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
The first images of Shockwave, who wasn’t in either of the first two films, surfaced back in April, and showed that he’s been given a pretty hefty makeover, to become what will no doubt be one of the strongest Decepticons, and most difficult to bring down, that we’ve seen.
USA Today also spoke to producer, Lorenzo di Bonaventura, who was a producer on both the first two, and he said of Shockwave,
“He’s always been a mean, mean guy, but he’s even more menacing and more dangerous. He’s bigger, badder, with a greater arsenal.
“It’s crazy spectacular. Shockwave is just a ball of destruction, pulling whole skyscrapers down. He’s a messy guy to have in our world.
“It’s a huge escalation...

Paramore release a "Monster" song on June 3 as their first official release as a trio. Being recorded for "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" soundtrack, it carries aggressive tone with solid hook which hardly makes the song a disappointment. The mood is set right from the beginning when the distant guitar sound is played and the tight drum-smacking sound follows.
Hayley Williams kicks it with her lyrics about a doomed relationship. "You were my conscience, so solid/ Now you're like water, and we started drowning/ Not like we'd sink any further," she charges in the hit potential. "I'm not the villain, despite what you're always preaching / Call me a traitor, I'm just collecting your victims."
The lyrics might give fans a reminder to their bitter split when the Farro brothers decided to walk out of the band last year. The link to the less-than-amicable break-up seems to fade in the chorus when Hayley roars,...

Linkin Park has dropped a music video directed by band member Joe Hahn for "Iridescent", a soundtrack of upcoming movie "Transformers: Dark of the Moon". The clip features some explosive scenes of the robot battle in the movie and shots of the band members. Mike Shinoda sits on a throne with a snake curled around his arm, and frontman Chester Bennington is standing tall while screaming out the lyrics.
"As we've gone on, the videos have gotten more abstract [and] I kind of like that," Mike told MTV. "I've been encouraging it with Joe, because ... the stuff that goes on in his head is really interesting and really fun, and I think it probably comes from the fact he grew up reading a lot of comics, watching anime, those things. Especially in a video like this, you can tell the influences are there."

Paramore have a new song coming, and they are sharing it to their devotees in a snippet. Titled "Monster", the fresh material was recorded for "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" soundtracks. Their first official release since the departure of Josh and Zac Farro, it's set to make its way out for full stream on June 3 and for digital download 4 days later.
"I let my heart go, it's somewhere down at the bottom/ But I'll get a new one and come back for the hope that you've stolen," Hayley Williams screams. "I'll stop the whole world, I'll stop the whole world from turning into a Monster, eating us alive/ Don't you ever wonder how we survived."
Beside listing Paramore's new song, "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" has also got Linkin Park's track "Iridescent" for another theme song. Soundtrack compilation CD for the Shia Labeouf-starring movie will be released in...

Hello there, you cretinous masses of worthless goo. Here's a few things for you to read before getting back to your miserable, worthless existences.
Remember how some of us were sort of excited, or at least interested, after watching the newest Transformers: Dark Of The Moon trailer? Well, never let it be said that Michael Bay won't find a way to let you down. If you've watched the first two movies, you know that Baynis has an inexplicable link with nu-metal buffoons Linkin Park, a band who you could probably add up their entire discography to make maybe one half-decent album (not counting Collision Course, which is actually quite good but mostly because of Jay-z and Mike Shinoda). Anyway, here's the soundtrack listing. It's an absolute shit show:
1. Linkin Park - Iridescent
2. Paramore - Monster
3. My Chemical Romance - The Only Hope For Me Is You

Following Linkin Park’s lead, Paramore will contribute music to the forthcoming” Transformers: Dark of the Moon” soundtrack. But unlike Linkin Park’s “Iridescent,” Paramore’s song will be new. Other acts on the soundtrack include Mastadon, who cover Zz Top’s “Just Got Paid,” Taking Back Sunday and My Chemical Romance. The Hayley Williams-fronted band, who will headline a number of Vans Warped Tour dates, took to its website to announce the new tune, “Monster.” A rep for the band also told MTV News that the group will shoot a video for the song in June in Los Angeles. Of course, Paramore is no...

Late last year, in their first interview following the departure of Josh and Zac Farro, Paramore told MTV News that they would "definitely" be releasing new music in 2011 ... a statement frontwoman Hayley Williams honed even further in February when she said that the band were planning on debuting its new, Farro-less tunes "over the summer."
And now, well ... it looks like she's a woman of her word.
Because late Monday, Paramore announced that they'd unveil a brand-new song — called "Monster" — on the upcoming Transformers: Dark of the Moon soundtrack. But that's not all. 'Transformers 3' Soundtrack To Ruin Your Ears With Linkin Park, Paramore, My Chemical Romance & More
What year is this? Seriously. Because looking at the tracklisting for Michael Bay's "Transformers: Dark Of The Moon" soundtrack it feels like we've been whipped mercilessly back a least a decade or more. Somebody needs to update Bay's iPod. While the film will be obliterating your eyes with shiny metallic things going boom and Josh Duhamel yelling "Go America," your ears will be waterboarded by bands like Linkin Park, Paramore (whose "Monster" is brand spanking new), My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, Staind, Goo Goo Dolls and Theory Of A Deadman. Yep, it's a crash course of music called Knuckledraggers…...

You'd think, given the worldwide tour in support of their This Is War album, that 30 Seconds to Mars would have logged at least a half-dozen New York City-area shows by this point. But you'd be wrong: To date, they've played exactly one NYC concert (an April 21, 2010, gig at Roseland Ballroom), which is just part of the reason they're looking forward to Friday night's (April 29) headlining slot at the Bamboozle Festival in nearby East Rutherford, New Jersey.

While in its early years it featured the likes of My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy and Motion City Soundtrack on the big stage, in recent years, the 'Boozle has expanded its scope to include everyone from 50 Cent to "Weird" Al Yankovic (not to mention the likes of Snoop Dogg and Bret Michaels) and, at last year's fest, Wiz Khalifa and Drake.
