The Siff 2013 Best Documentary grand jury prize went to Penny Lane’s Our Nixon and Lucy Walker earned a special jury prize for The Crash Reel, while Kyle Patrick Alvarez took the Best New American Cinema grand jury prize for C.O.G.
In the audience awards, Henk Pretorius’ Fanie Fourie’s Lobola won the Best Film Golden Space Needle Award and Morgan Neville’s Twenty Feet From Stardom took the corresponding documentary prize.
The Best Director Golden Space Needle Award went to Nabil Ayouch for Horses Of God, while best actor was awarded to James Cromwell for Still Mine and best actress to Samantha Morton for Decoding Annie Parker.

Cars 2, one of the year's biggest films makes its debut in an estimated 3,900 theaters, pulling in masses of screaming Lightning McQueen and Mater fans nationwide. John Lasseter directs with Brad Lewis as co-director with a cast including Owen Wilson, Larry the Cable Guy, Michael Caine, Emily Mortimer, Michael Keaton, Jason Isaacs, Bonnie Hunt, John Ratzenberger, Tony Shalhoub, Bruce Campbell, Thomas Kretschmann, Joe Mantegna, Cheech Marin, Jenifer Lewis, Peter Jacobson and Guido Quaroni. Pixar will want some payback for the first Cars, a movie losing Best Animated Feature at Oscar time to George Miller's Happy Feet. The original film debuted on June 9th, 2006 in 3,985 theaters, grossing $60.1 million at an average of $15,086 per theater. Total domestic cume was over $244 million while international coin was $217.9 million. The sequel is not tracking fantastically well with critics at Rottentomatoes.
