Welcome to this week’s review of Impact Wrestling, which this week opens with a Before the Impact match that saw Sami Callihan & Rich Swann defeat Laredo Kid & Black Taurus. Let’s get into the review…
Match #1: X-Division Championship – Chris Sabin def. Alan Angels The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:
After becoming #1 Contender in Ultimate X last week, Alan Angels challenges Chris Sabin for the X-Division Title! Angels targets the left arm of Sabin, as he delivers a double stomp from the top rope. Sabin breaks free of an armbar attempt, but Angels drives him into the top turnbuckle instead. Sabin creates some much-needed separation with an explosive dropkick. Sabin quickens the pace, delivering a series of strikes to Angels. Sabin hits a running boot in the corner but Angels counters the follow-up tornado Ddt. The referee prevents Angels from using the X-Division Title belt as a weapon.

Match #1: 2G1T (Silas Young and Josh Woods) defeated Dalton Castle and Joe Hendry The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
In a matchup of odd couple teams, Young and Woods — who have named their team 2 Guys, 1Tag — prevailed when Woods pinned Castle after Young had catapulted Castle into Woods’ flying knees.
My Opinion: 2.7 out of 5 – This was a waste of Castle, while Young and Hendry deserved better as well. The match came and went like something that no one cared about.
