The Helldivers 2 community once again struggled with completing a Major Order and players abandoning the game could be the reason behind it. As compared to its first month, Helldivers 2 has lost a lot of players. The community believes that Arrowhead Game Studios is setting unrealistic goals, that active players just cannot achieve.
Helldivers 2
This last Major Order ordered the players to kill roughly 3.1 billion enemies and players managed to complete roughly 87% of the goal. Just like the previous Major Order, players tried their best to complete it, but it was just not possible. It seems like Arrowhead has finally realized their mistake as the new Major Order will reward players with a new Exosuit, something which should lure back many players.

After failing to kill 2 billion Automatons, Helldivers 2 players have once again failed to complete another Major Order that required them to kill 3.1 billion enemies.

FromSoftware’s critically acclaimed action RPG, Elden Ring, is set to receive its first (and only) major expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, in less than a month. With the recently released story trailer offering an extended glimpse into the Dlc, fans have gone into overdrive with the theories.
The trailer shows off more about the expansion’s main antagonist, Messmer the Impaler, but one portion of it hints at a macabre backstory that may have led to the birth of the Erdtree.
The Opening Scene Of The Trailer Is The Prime Suspect
Some believe that this scene may show the birth of the Erdtree, by gruesome means | FromSoftware
The very beginning of the trailer shows a scene that could reveal the origins of the Erdtree – the towering, central element of the Lands Between. The opening shot shows a figure with long, blond hair potentially sacrificing themselves, among a disturbing environment.

Fans of Elden Ring are having a field day with all their theories and speculations ever since FromSoftware abruptly chose to release a story trailer for the game’s upcoming Dlc. One of these particular theories goes over how one of the previous Elden Lords might just be the cause behind omens being shunned from the golden grace.
Morgott, The Omen King | A still from Elden Ring gameplay
We are talking about none other than Godfrey, the first Elden Lord and former husband of Queen Marika, the ruler of the Lands Between. It was the union between Marika and Godfrey that resulted in the birth of Morgott and Mohg, the two demigod omens we encounter in the game, and fans are guessing they have finally caught on to the root cause of their despair.

The Helldivers 2 team probably didn’t expect the game to blow up the way that it did on release. Remember, the servers were in shambles the first few weeks simply because they could not handle the sheer amount of people who wanted to try it out themselves.
Ever since then, the community has continued to grow. However, with this kind of audience comes a lot of toxicity that the Arrowhead Game Studios’ ex-ceo, Johan Pilestedt, refuses to stay silent about.

The Helldivers 2 fandom’s toxicity is reaching extreme heights
In a recent interview with GamesIndustry.biz, Pilestedt spoke about the highs and lows of having such a large community, and how the team is still learning to deal with some of the cons.
With over 12 million copies sold, the game has an overwhelmingly large player base, especially for a company that previously dealt with a much smaller-scale game.

The games of Hidetaka Miyazaki are unique experiences that will take players through not only grand and awe-inspiring locations but also those that embody the sentiments of darkness and decay. His worlds are not ones for the faint of heart, with danger around every corner and death your constant companion.
FromSoftware has mastered the art of creating such worlds, and the studio wears its inspirations on its sleeve. Berserk, one of the most well-known pieces of Japanese media from the mind of Kentaro Miura, is heavily referenced in all of Miyazaki’s games and the same is true for the Dlc.

Elden Ring‘s enormously hyped and massively sized Shadow of the Erdtree Dlc is nearing the end of its long wait, now that it’s just less than a month from release. The latest story trailer tells us a bit more about Messmer the Impaler, the supposed main villain of the expansion.
However, a growing theory among fans suggests that FromSoftware might be employing a clever bait-and-switch tactic, deliberately placing emphasis on Messmer to obscure the identity of a potential bigger antagonist.

The recent story trailer for Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree surprised everyone, as an announcement was made just a few hours before the trailer was set to premiere on YouTube. While the 3-minute-long insight into the Dlc’s storyline did not help much, it made the fans ponder once again if one of the weakest demigods stole his key technique from an enemy we are yet to fight.

Godrick the Grafted is the first major boss and shard bearer that the players come across in the game. Despite giving a hard challenge initially, he happens to be the weakest shard bearer in contrast to every other demigod our tarnished character fights against. Fans have also started theorizing how he ultimately copied his grafting technique from the mane-bearing creature we will fight in Shadow of the Erdtree Dlc.

The Shadow of the Erdtree story trailer had a lot of inclusions that would make it a quintessential bit of content from FromSoftware. While labeled a ‘story trailer’, the three-minute and thirteen-second clip has left the community with more questions than clarity.
As people are scouring back and forth, analyzing every frame, there is one aspect of the trailer that stands out: the music. The soundtrack for the trailer begins in typical FromSoftware fashion, but then it changes to convey an emotion that is rarely associated with Hidetaka Miyazaki’s games.

Who doesn’t love a little competition? In the tech world, you’ve got “flagship killers” as an actual mobile segment, and in the gaming world, it comes in the form of a comparatively smaller developer influenced by the big guys and gives them a run for their money. Shadow of the Erdtree, the first and only expansion for Elden Ring, has the Soulslike community buzzing. The studio has released a story trailer, but in classic FromSoftware fashion as it has functioned to only create more questions.

Much to everyone’s surprise, the story trailer for Elden Ring‘s first and only planned Dlc, Shadow of the Erdtree, released today out of nowhere. Naturally, FromSoftware fans have started eagerly dissecting every detail in every frame of the trailer.
While it offers a glimpse into the Dlc’s story – centered around demigods Miquella and Messmer the Impaler – a new theory has emerged regarding the potential connection between the expansion and Godwyn the Golden, another demigod whose tragic end domino’d the base game’s events.
The Trailer Shows Miquella At The Beginning, Or Does It?
The trailer alludes to this being Miquella, but it matches Godwyn’s description as well | FromSoftware
In typical FromSoftware fashion, the trailer reveals more about the core conflict of the Dlc, but in a highly confusing, extremely verbose fashion. It shows Miquella (perhaps not) sacrificing himself to confront a fiery threat embodied by Messmer the Impaler.

In the last couple of weeks, we’ve seen the Elden Ring developer FromSoftware dropping a few teases here and there about its upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree Dlc. However, the studio has given us our best look yet at the Dlc since it was first revealed.
Elden Ring’s upcoming Dlc has been a long time coming and anticipated due to FromSoftware’s proven track record with DLCs in its other games, such as Dark Souls. However, one of the most striking aspects of the latest trailer was the revelation of a war much deadlier than The Shattering. This has led to many players in the community questioning why the game’s director, Hidetaka Miyazaki, hid such a crucial piece of the lore, which changes everything we know about the upcoming Elden Ring Dlc.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree’s latest trailer has given fans a new silver lining for everything the massive expansion has to offer. From new character arcs to surprising gameplay elements, this is going to be an experience that FromSoftware fans have never seen before.

The pleas for a modern iteration of Hidetaka Miyazaki’s Lovecraftian masterpiece, Bloodborne, continue to hold strong to this date. Released in 2015 for the PS4, the FromSoftware game’s gothic atmosphere, elegant-yet-grotesque bosses, and complex lore instantly made it a modern classic.
However, the title also suffered from technical issues on PS4, most notably its unstable 30fps cap and jittery frame pacing, which can be annoying for some. The significantly stronger PS5 can fix these issues, but Sony and FromSoftware have stayed mum on a remake or remaster, until now.

One genre that stood out among his top 6 games list was stealth-action games. He mentioned that Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain was the best stealth game he ever played. He preferred this title in the Metal Gear Solid series over other stealth games like Hitman and Assassin’s Creed.

Hidetaka Miyazaki’s 2015 game, Bloodborne, is often cited as one of the best Soulslike games of all time but still, it lacked some elements that could’ve drastically improved the gaming experience. While there are a number of things players wanted to see in the game, there is one particular thing that everyone wished Bloodborne had: a map. While navigating the Gothic world of Yharnam, it would certainly be handy if players were provided with a map or a guidebook.

Elden Ring is one of the more approachable games from FromSoftware, but that in no way means it’s easy. The game throws a lot at the player and can often be more disorienting and overwhelming. One very much still needs to ‘git gud’ when taking on the Lands Between.
Kai Cenat has been marathoning the game, and this has led to some amazing moments and memes. Being his first FromSoftware title, he’s going to understandably feel the heat. However, it seems he was more than up to the challenge when a fellow streamer offered an incentive.

Hidetaka Miyazaki is one of the few directors who has earned a pedestal for themselves, etching their name in the history of the gaming industry forever by consistently delivering quality titles to players. However, what many fans might not know is how his first game ever does not even have any resemblance to the franchises he is known for today.
A look at Hidetaka Miyazaki at the Game Awards 2022
Miyazaki, whom many happen to identify as the director of all the Soulsborne games, in reality started his career with a game that fails to approach the Dark Fantasy genre at all, and instead focuses on a whole different vision.

As fans eagerly wait for Elden Ring‘s Dlc, Shadow of the Erdtree, another Soulslike game is coming to Xbox Game Pass this month: Lords of the Fallen (2023). Elden Ring indeed has a loyal and dedicated fanbase but Lords of the Fallen could potentially hurt its sales when the Dlc comes out in June 2024.
Lords of the Fallen
Developed by Hexworks and published by Ci Games, Lords of the Fallen received mixed-to-positive reviews at the time of its release and sold over one million units within 10 days after its release. Apart from this, 10 more games are coming to Xbox Game Pass this month, including Ninja Theory’s highly anticipated game, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II.
Will Lords of the Fallen hinder the sales of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Dlc?
