Norman Steinberg, screenwriter of the classic Mel Brooks comedy “Blazing Saddles,” has died at the age of 83, his family said through a statement by the Writers Guild of America East.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, and a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh law school, Steinberg sought to be a comedy writer after he felt dissatisfied with life as an attorney. That dream was something that he would regularly tell Brooks when he encountered him at the Chock Full ‘O Nuts cafe in Manhattan, which led the famed comedian and producer to tell Steinberg to write a script for the sitcom “Get Smart.”
Though “Get Smart” was canceled by the time Steinberg finished the script, Brooks enjoyed it and told him to pursue writing. He quit his job as a lawyer and got his start as a writer for the music magazine Cash Box. Like countless others, he moved to...

He put a photo of the Egg on Twitter, alongside the post: “What is this??? Half White Half Milk Chocolate??”
It was after this that his followers informed him that this Creme Egg was part of a promotional deal that could have seen him win up to £10,000. However, the DJ confessed that he had actually eaten it before sharing the tweet.
Six of the eggs are worth £10,000, while three are worth £5,000 – and those who discover one must take a picture with the uneaten Egg in order to win the money.

D’Acampo made the announcement in an Instagram post on Sunday (19 March), explaining that his decision was inspired by a desire to protect his friendships with both Ramsay and Sirieix.

A comment Fred Sirieix made about Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip has resurfaced in the wake of his co-star’s decision to quit.
On Sunday (19 March), Gino D’Acampo revealed he would no longer be a part of the series due to “problems” behind-the-scenes.
In a video shared with his social media followers, the celebrity chef said that “complications” with contracts had led to his decision, and said he would rather quit than damage his friendship with both Sirieix and Gordon Ramsay.
Just 10 days ago, during a chat with Lorraine Kelly on the ITV morning show Lorraine, Sirieix addressed these complications, stating: “We are talking about dates for the next one. It is difficult to juggle all of our diaries.”
He told MailOnline the previous week, while promoting his latest series, Fred’s Last Resort: “It is a bit difficult to juggle all our diaries, but we are getting there.

Halle Bailey has promised that her take on Ariel will be more “nuanced” than the animated version in 1989’s The Little Mermaid.
The Disney-produced live-action remake of the classic musical fantasy is set to arrive in just two months.
The story follows Ariel – a teenage mermaid princess who dreams of becoming human and falls in love with a human prince named Eric.
In a new interview with Edition magazine, Bailey implied that Ariel’s motivations might have changed slightly in the remake.
“I’m really excited for my version of the film because we’ve definitely changed that perspective of just her wanting to leave the ocean for a boy,” she says. “It’s way bigger than that. It’s about herself, her purpose, her freedom, her life and what she wants.
“As women we are amazing, we are independent, we are modern, we are everything and above,” she added.
