The latest entry in the animated franchise, Resident Evil: Death Island comes two years after the last entry, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, and is set in 2015, just after the events of Resident Evil: Vendetta but before Resident Evil 7. Got that?
Somewhere in San Fransisco Dso Agent Leon S. Kennedy is trying to recover kidnapped scientist Dr. Antonio Taylor (Frank Todaro) when a mysterious woman appears and, after a high-speed chase, causes him to crash. Claire Redfield is also in town, trying to find out what kind of creature can use Orcas as a food source. And whether or not the creature is a bioweapon.
Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield and Rebecca Chambers are also looking for answers.

Resident Evil is a video-game franchise with no foreseeable end in sight. And as Capcom’s zombie shooter approaches the big 3-0, it unleashes another entry in the often overlooked animated series of films. Taking place between games 6 and 7, and following 2017’s Vendetta, the story of Resident Evil: Death Island is subject to the same formula as its predecessors. A big threat brews somewhere, and the characters rush in to stop it. However, the new animated film does manage to set itself apart by featuring an all-star cast and complementing the over-the-top action sequences with organic emotional moments.
While the previous animated films — Degeneration, Damnation, and Vendetta — tend to star only a few major characters from the game franchise, Death Island includes four heavy-hitters. Leon S. Kennedy, Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield, and Claire Redfield are all active during this mission.
Death Island opens with a flashback from the Raccoon City...

Directors: Hiroyuki Seshita, Kôbun Shizuno/ Writers: Ishirô Honda, Yusuke Kozaki and Gen Urobuchi. Cast: Lucien Dodge, Kana Hanazawa, Ken'yû Horiuchi, Yûki Kaji and Mamoru Miyano. Fans of Toho's Godzilla franchise are better off watching Planet of the Monsters (2017) and City on the Edge of Battle together, rather than apart. This animated trilogy will conclude in November (in Japan), and the Netflix release will most likely follow after. City on the Edge is self-contained. But, the tease for what's next is worse than waiting for Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War Part 2! With this film, a huge battle royale is coming. The first film had Godzilla facing Mecha Godzilla in a quick flashback. Other creatures had quick cameos, but to not have the King of Monsters have more face-offs against other kaijus is a letdown. He still has to fight those nuisance humans on the planet they once called home. They...

Following their crushing defeat at the hands of Godzilla Earth, Haruo Sakaki and his allies encounter a mysterious aboriginal tribe descended from the humans left behind on Earth 20,000 years ago, and uncover a mechanized city-sized fortress formed from the long-lost anti-Godzilla weapon Mechagodzilla.
Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle is the reportedly second entry – after its predecessor Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters led the charge into the newly established animated lore – of a new intended trilogy of films for the western hemisphere, yet installed as an anime TV show in Godzilla’s’ native Japan.

There is no creative reason Batman Unlimited: Mechs vs. Mutants exists. It is merely a vehicle to promote toys for the younger segment of fan. Essentially, if you have enjoyed any of the previous Batman Unlimited offerings – Batman Unlimited: Animal Instincts and Batman Unlimited: Monster Mayhem — this will be equally entertaining.
In this relatively thin screenplay from Kevin Burke & Chris “Doc” Wyatt, to Batman (Roger Craig Smith) and Green Arrow (Chris Diamantopolous), resort to wearing mech suits to sop the latest wave of terror in Gotham City courtesy of Mister Freeze (Oded Fehr) and Penguin (Dana Snyder). This time they have turned Bane (Carlos Alazraqui) and Killer Croc (John Dimaggio) into oversized monsters, necessitating the heroes suit up. And to help even the odds, they recruit Robin (Lucien Dodge), Nightwing (Will Friedle), and The Flash (Charles Schlatter).
The mayhem moves at a reasonable pace thanks to the steady direction of...

It's probably an easier time to get people to look at a Western in the wake of True Grit, but if your Western has animation as great-looking as what's in The Backwater Gospel, it's probably an easy sell to begin with. This story about fear of God and a town awaiting a visit from The Undertaker is a project from The Animation Workshop, and it has some stellar design and animation. Check it out after the break. The animation is definitely more of a selling point here than the story, it's a pretty big selling point. Here's the plot description from the film's Vimeo [1] page: As long as anyone can remember, the coming of The Undertaker has meant the coming of death. Until one day the grim promise fails and tension builds as the God fearing townsfolk of Backwater wait for someone to die. By: Bo Mathorne, Tue T. Sørensen,...
