- Mark Byrne was interviewed and his adventures used as source material for the children's book Rainbows of the Moon by Tom McCaughren the well known Irish Children's Story Writer.
- The rock band Paxton with the former 'Front' base player Randy Jordan released a song on their debut album "ginger's bowl' written by Randy Jordan called 'Which way do you go'.The song was written by Randy and inspired by Mark Byrne.
- The album 'Real World' by The Young Dubliners has a photograph in the liner notes taken by drummer Dave Inghram of MArk Byrne and contains a 'Thanks' salute from the band. Byrne had a long association with the band in the mid 2000's even appearing with them on live radio a number of times around the country as backing singer and percussion.
