The Women In Film-Dallas Suzanne Dooley Graduate Tuition Scholarship is awarded to a full-time graduate
student studying film, television, or a digital media program at a college or university. It is
named after Suzanne Dooley, who established the WIFD Scholarship Foundation during her
1990 and 1991 terms as president of WIFD.
A WIFD lifetime member, in 1992 she co-created the local PBS station, KERA's Frame of Mind, in order to give a wider platform to Texas filmmakers. She has enjoyed a long experience in the industry, starting as an actor, then working in program development, as a production manager, producer and director, and in post production at the Walt Disney Company.
Sharing this knowledge with our members and scholarship recipients has given them a deeper understanding of the industry. The organization is proud to award this scholarship in her name.
