Matt Bomer is remembering his White Collar co-star Willie Garson, whose death was confirmed Tuesday by his son Nathen.
“Willie, I don’t understand,” Bomer began his Instagram tribute. “And it’s not fair. This past year, you taught me so much about courage and resilience and love. I still haven’t wrapped my head around a world without you in it — where I can’t call you when I need to laugh, or be inspired. Neal Caffrey is very much plotting a new White Collar con.
“There’s nothing that I would want more than to be on a set with this group of people again,” star Matt Bomer shared during a virtual White Collar reunion on Thursday via the Stars in the House YouTube channel. “There are real conversations happening. There seems to be a lot of excitement about it. What form that takes and how it plays out and whether all the creatives involved can work it out and make it happen is yet to be seen. But we’re all really optimistic and hopeful.

USA’s shows make up for small budgets with winning high concepts and appealing casts. Many of their series work entirely because of their superb eye for casting, using familiar faces and strong ensembles. These shows have also worked thanks to adding season-long meta-stories while solving case-of-the-week stories. As a result, the leads are generally put through the wringer, each taking a turn.
In the case of White Collar, the third season ended with Neal Caffrey (Matthew Bomer) on the run with an international manhunt launched to find the felon turned FBI advisor. The fourth season opened over the late summer of 2011, finishing up in the winter of 2012 and is now collected in White Collar the Complete Fourth Season, released this week by 20th Century Home Entertainment. We’ve got the latest news for former Legend Of The Seeker actress Bridget Regan. Very soon Mr. Neal Caffrey will be seeking a kiss from this little lady. She has just signed on for a recurring role on the popular USA series, White Collar. Look away, Hilarie Burton, look away.
Burton, whose character is the very fetching Sara Ellis, has been Neal’s longest lasting love interest since the death of Kate Moreau. Neal is of course one half of the show’s leading pair of men, acted by the dashing Matt Bomer. Neal is a conman who assists Tim DeKay’s Special Agent Peter Burke in white collar crime investigations.
Neal and Sara sang the swansong to their on and off again affair during the season 4 finale back in March. It’s too bad, too, because I liked Sara. Still, the show must go on. And Neal’s heart will sing again,...

Exclusive: Neal Caffrey is getting a new love interest. Legend Of The Seeker alumna Bridget Regan has booked a 10-episode arc on USA’s White Collar. She will play Rebecca Lowe, a beautiful rare book scholar who becomes entangled with Neal’s (Matt Bomer) latest con, and then ultimately Neal himself. In the Season 4 finale in March, Neal parted ways with on-again, off-again girlfriend, Sara Ellis (Hilarie Burton). Regan, repped by Tmt Entertainment and Gersh, recently starred in ABC’s hour-long pilot Murder In Manhattan and recurred on the CW’s Beauty And The Beast. White Collar is currently in production on Season 5, which will premiere in October.

The explosive (how cool was that fire thing Neal did with the kiln?!?) White Collar season premiere may have answered one big lingering mystery -- Sam Phelps a.k.a. James Bennett is Neal's father and is not a cop killer -- but set up countless new questions.
In an attempt to gain some season 4.5 clarity, I caught up with Ep Jeff Eastin to find out who's coming back, who's leaving for good and what the finale holds for our White Collar crew!
ETonline: Neal ended the premiere by hugging his father. Where does that relationship go from here?
Jeff Eastin: Since season one, we've been working off this idea that Neal doesn't know who he is because he didn't know who his family was. There was a line early on where he said, "If I'm not my father's son, who am I?" Now, he's had the chance to meet his father and it's very much...

Watch out, Matt Bomer -- a "Twilight" hunk is headed to "White Collar."
HuffPost TV has learned exclusively that Jackson Rathbone, otherwise known to Twi-hards as Jasper Hale, has been cast in an upcoming episode of USA's "White Collar."
Rathbone will play Nate Osbourne, a volatile ex-con who will steal anything for the love of his life. Oz is one half of a Bonnie and Clyde duo who break out of jail and into the middle of an event where Neal (Bomer) and Sara (Hilarie Burton) are present. Jessica Mcnamee ("The Vow") plays Penny, Oz's better half.
Sara Ellis made her "White Collar" return in this week's episode, and even though Burton will be in and out of Season 4, Sara has a knack for showing up just when Neal needs her the most.

"Parting Shots?" Hardly! White Collar is only getting started.
Sara Ellis returned, Peter got his job back and the mystery surrounding Neal's father deepened on this week's installment of the USA Network hit.
I have to say that I was disheartened by what may or may not be Ellen's premature demise. I was really looking forward to getting some information about her and Neal's time in Witsec. I certainly didn't want to have her leave so soon.
First, Neal chased after the ghost that was Kate, now he'll be chasing after another ghost named Sam. How will Neal find him, and where will he even begin to look? This story gets more and more intriguing the further we get into it.
One epic aspect of this episode that I can no longer wait to acknowledge was the return of the ever-fabulous Sara. I don't know what it is about that girl,...

Now that Neal (Matt Bomer) is back from his island excursion on White Collar, another familiar face is returning. But this time around, Sara Ellis might have different intentions.
"Am I coming back to be a pain in his a--? I legitimately don't know," Hilarie Burton tells TVGuide.com. "Sara doesn't let a lot of people in and she has let Neal in on some secrets. So whether that makes her resent him for running away or it endears him to her and lets her understand why he's done the things he's done remains to be seen."

Procedurals can fall into a pattern and there’s not too much to differentiate one season from another. That’s why USA’s White Collar continues to be one of the better shows of its kind. It’s not afraid to mix up the chemistry and threaten the harmony that hangs over the success. To mark the Season 4 premiere, USA released the White Collar Season 3 DVD for those who need to catch up and for those diehards who want to ramp up to the new season with a marathon of the best season yet. A major theme this season was all of the major relationships were reset, namely with Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer) and his co-workers Peter Burke, Diana Barrigan, and Clinton Jones (Tim DeKay, Marsha Thomason, and Sharif Atkins) or Neal and Mozzie (Willie Garson), while others were just beginning, like Neal and Sara Ellis (Hilarie Burton).

Michael Weston, Laurie Williams & Laura Vandervoort Join List of ‘White Collar’ Season 4 Guest Stars
There are lots of White Collar news today, but beware of some spoilers as you read the following guest-castings.
Neal Caffrey is not the only master criminal to keep Peter Burke worrying at night. The Hollywood Reporter announced Tuesday afternoon that Michael Weston (House) will play David Cook, another over-confident crook who has eluded Peter’s since he became an FBI Agent.
Weston will guest star in the episode titled, “Diminishing Returns” which could be the Season 4 premiere or a later episode. If it is the premiere, that would make sense since Mekhi Phifer as Agent Kyle Williams will be the man sent out to retrieve Neal and Mozzie in some remote island in the Caribbean, not Peter. Joining Weston is Laurie Williams (Blue Bloods) as Rina Oaks, a gem trader and Cook’s fence for stolen goods.

Episode 314: Pulling Strings
After Elizabeth (Tiffani Thiessen) was kidnapped at the mid-season break and catching a criminal in last week’s episode, Peter Burke (Tim DeKay) deserved a vacation weekend–but it was no picnic in the Central Park. That left Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer) in the capable hands of Diana Barrigan (Marsha Thomason) and his ex-girlfriend, Sara Ellis (Hilarie Burton) who specifically asked for Neal’s help as she was running her own investigation of Bryan McKenzie, her boss at Sterling Bosch.
We learned a little bit of Sara’s past as her fling with Neal was a rebound relationship off of break-up where she broke off an engagement with McKenzie when he was arrested in Beijing. When they searched McKenzie’s place there were an awful lot of pictures of Sara and Bryan. Neal wasn’t the only one withholding information in that relationship.

A sneak peek to Eliza Dushku's guest starring appearance on "White Collar" has been obtained in a form of preview video. Playing a "very sexy" employee to Ross McCall's Matthew Keller, she will land her lips on Matthew Bomer's, who portrays Neal Caffrey, and get involved in some actions.
When Neal and Peter Burke (Tim DeKay) discover wanted fugitive Keller is smuggling priceless Egyptian antiquities into the city, Neal will go undercover with an exotic and beautiful Egyptologist (Dushku) to locate and capture his foe. But during a confrontation with Keller, Neal learns his true motives for returning to New York.
It has been confirmed before that Neal will have a short fling with Dushku's character, which will be his first relationship after he splits with his girlfriend Sara Ellis (Hilarie Burton). Creator Jeff Eastin recently shared that the story will leave the door open for the return of Dushku's character.

Diana took center stage as an undercover assistant to one of journalism’s sharpest-tongued, no-nonsense writers in "Deadline," and her secretarial skills weren’t the only talents on display.
Marsha Thomason’s accent made its single appearance of the series, hopefully to only become a more frequently used asset. I loved this undercover angle and would like to see it more often. Diana herself is a bit of an underused asset, isn't she? Last time she went undercover was with Jones during an adoption scam in season two.
We also met Diana's girlfriend, Christie, for the first time. I have to say, they worked. Besides, who didn’t love getting a glimpse into her life and her stylish apartment?
In fact, all of White Collar’s women shined this episode, especially Hilarie Burton’s Sara Ellis, who has been notably absent despite her promotion to series regular. Similarly, Elizabeth, truly reliable person in all situations,...

In this new season of White Collar, Neal Caffery (Matt Bomer) has the biggest score of art (originally stolen by Nazis) and a new woman in his life, Sara Ellis played by Hilarie Burton, an insurance investigator who was once after Caffery and assisted the White Collar Division throughout Season 2. Burton finds her character caught between continuing her professional relationship with Peter Burke (Tim DeKay) or be loyal to con man who she now shares a passionate connection with. Burton spoke with BuzzFocus on a conference about her character and Season 3.
To start the new season, Sara is assertive and is not intimidated by his relationship with Alex or his past. She called Neal a “damn good con man,” clearly not afraid by the danger than Neal may bring her. She may even be excited by and drawn to it. But Sara continues to dig into Neal’s past and...

"White Collar" returns for Season 3 on USA Tuesday night (June 7) at 9 p.m. Et and it brings with it a new regular cast member in Hilarie Burton as Sara Ellis, who Esquire magazine describes as "pretty much the most attractive insurance-claims investigator in the history of insurance." Uh, yeah.
In the new issue of Esquire, Hilarie gets sexy for a photoshoot and also tells the interviewer some fun things about herself:
"I move around a lot. I've lived in a ton of different places -- and only for a month or two at a time. I have a deep, rabid curiosity, so I like having a gypsy life.""I like to write paper mail -- nobody does that anymore -- with my pen pals. John Doe from the band X played my dad on One Tree Hill, and he just collects post cards from all the places he's toured and doesn't write a whole lot.

Season three of White Collar is at our doorstep, returning this Tuesday, June 7th on USA and BuzzFocus caught up with the stars at a conference call with Matt Bomer (Neal Caffery) and Tim DeKay (Peter Burke) to discuss a preview of where the White Collar division goes after the stunning surprise ending of last season where Neal found out he is in the possession of the priceless Nazi treasure thanks to a friend of his. Who? We don’t know yet. But the new season will surely challenge all of Neal’s outstanding relationships, including the one sparked with Sara Ellis played by Hilarie Burton.

As if Neal Caffery’s life couldn’t get any more complicated, here comes Eliza Dushku. The former Dollhouse star will guest-star in the ninth episode of the upcoming third season. Creator Jeff Eastin told THR not only what her role will be but also what the state of the characters will be when she arrives.

Dusku will enter the White Collar story as an employee of Matthew Keller (Ross McCall), a fellow con man and recurring thorn in Neal’s side. Eastin said that she appears “at a point where Neal and Sara have broken up” and will tempt Neal.
When Eastin is in the mood to reveal future plot points, he can’t be stopped. He also revealed that if things work out as planned, they wrote it so that there’s a possibility to bring her back in future episodes or a future season.

Were I a lesser man, my brain would explode from the sheer nerdery of Bryce Larkin hanging out with both Faith and Echo, but we here at Ugo keep our composure in the face of such geekdom.
Still, with restrained jubilation, we bring you The Hollywood Reporter, well, reporting that Eliza Dushku will appear in at least one episode of the forthcoming third season of White Collar on USA! Dushku will appear as an as-yet-unnamed character of the ninth episode, while the third season of White Collar premieres Tuesday, June 7th.
White Collar creator Jeff Eastin spoileriffically claims that Dushku's character will maintain a short fling with Matthew Bomer's Neil Caffrey, as she arrives at "a point where Neal and Sara have broken up.” As fans of White Collar know, we last left Neil beginning a relationship with Hilarie Burton's Sara Ellis, which clearly wasn't meant to be.

I have noticeably mixed feelings about the season finale of White Collar. On one hand, “Under the Radar” was a solidly-execution to the Adler story and all the drama that’s been driving the series from the very beginning. On the other hand, it features yet another problematic cliffhanger from a series that seems destined to produce problematic cliffhangers.
I adore White Collar, I really do. It was on my top 25 of 2010 and had I more time before this episode aired, I was going to write a piece about how it was far and away the best series in USA’s current stable of programming. I think there’s really no question about that. But for whatever reason, this series has a problem with its cliffhangers. This might sound weird, but I think the White Collar writers try too hard to make their cliffhangers cliffhanger-y. With any cliffhanger, there’s...

“Power Play” is the anticipated switcheroo episode where Neal (Matt Bomer) is forced to take Peter’s identity to earn the trust of a whistle blower. Her boss is responsible for the city’s rolling blackouts (Enron anyone?) and it’s up to Peter (Tim DeKay) to learn Mozzie’s (Willie Garson) tricks of the con trade to solve a case. You heard first wind about this episode in our exclusive interview with creator Jeff Eastin last fall. Now that you’ve seen it, what do you think? I thought it was one of this season’s best. Lots of plotlines and subplots converged in this episode; let’s take a look at some of the bigger moments.
Peter and Neal had a blast with this episode, trying to prove to each other they could excel doing the other’s job. Neal got right into the act by doing Peter’s two-finger “come hither,...

Hilarie Burton, who has guest-starred as Sara Ellis on six episodes of the second season of USA Network’s ‘White Collar,’ has been promoted to series regular for the series’ third season, tvline.com is reporting. After her first appearance on the show about con-man, thief and forger Neal Caffrey, Burton said leads Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay “are so sincere in their generosity and their kindness, I’d stay forever.” This is Burton’s first television series since she left the hit CW series ‘One Tree Hill’ in 2009. She then joined ‘White Collar’ as insurance investigator Sara, who believes Neal, played by Bomer, is the “one that got away.” Burton has described her [...]...

It appears there will be many more “stolen” moments between Neal Caffrey and Sara Ellis: USA Network’s White Collar is promoting the utterly awesome Hilarie Burton to series regular for Season 3, TVLine has learned exclusively.
At the time she lensed her very first White Collar episode, Burton shared her wish for her recurring role to turn into something longterm. As she put it, series leads Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay “are so sincere in their generosity and their kindness, I’d stay forever, man.”

Willie Garson is no stranger to primetime television.
He’s spent the last two decades guest-starring in show such as Twin Peaks, Ally McBeal and, most famously, as Stanford Blatch on Sex and the City. These days, Garson is playing Mozzie on White Collar, the quirky, paranoid, insightful right hand man to one of televisions hottest con men, Neal Caffrey.
The actor spoke to TV Fanatic this week about his character, his son, and what's to come on this USA hit.
The young boy Mozzie sends to follow Neal is actually your son, Nathan. Did we get a glimpse into to the future of Hollywood’s next Matt Bomer?
“I don’t know....maybe? He [Nathan] listened to the director well, I was very impressed."
Is Kate is actually dead?
“You know what we know. We only get the scripts so far in advance... but I can’t imagine it... that explosion was pretty legit.

Hilarie Burton is best known for her role as Peyton Sawyer in One Tree Hill, but last season on USA’s White Collar, she made a splash as Sara Ellis.
This season, she’s returning as the insurance investigator who has unfinished business with Neal Caffrey played by Matthew Bomer.
I talked to Hilarie on a conference call where she talked about the show and her character, working in New York City and a whole lot more.
White Collar airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on USA.
For the full interview, click the audio link above or download from iTunes.
What elements of Sara’s character are the least like you and are they the most fun to play?
Hilarie Burton: Oh boy. I’ll tell you what, when I first read for the part, you know when they give actresses sides to audition they rarely give you what will actually...

By now you know that Mozzie is recovering safely and has come up with the equation that will get them closer to the end of the Kate and Music Box storylines and if you don’t want to know any more about future episodes, stop reading now. White Collar stars, Matt Bomer (Neal Caffery), Tim DeKay (Peter Burke) and Hilarie Burton (Sara Ellis) dish plenty about season 2.
First we’ll touch on this past week’s and upcoming episodes.
January 18 – “Burke’s Seven”
In this first episode back the entire gang in one room for the first time, working the same con. An homage to Ocean’s 11, “Burke’s Seven” was a fun and inventive use on each character’s strengths as the gang tried to get Peter his badge back after being framed. Peter couldn’t bring himself to call it a con, “It’s a sting,” but we all know better.

White Collar is a program that gets a good deal of mileage out of the general likability of its characters and the chemistry the actors have with one another. The overarching “mythology” of the series is not awful or completely muddled like the last few years of Burn Notice, but it’s also seemingly less important as well. Jeff Eastin and his team tried hammering home a certain kind of storytelling in season one with that terrible mid-season cliffhanger and thankfully they’ve backed away from nonsense like that ever since. And even then, the episode-to-episode narratives didn’t always hang together consistently.
But the first half of season two, which aired last summer, was fantastic. The writers figured out how to make white collar crimes more compelling on a procedural level — oftentimes by wrapping them up in “normal” crimes like murder and whatnot — and the chemistry between the whole cast,...

For many years, Hilarie Burton entertained television viewers as spunky cheerleader-turned-record label producer Peyton Sawyer on One Tree Hill. Now she's back making waves on the small screen as insurance company investigator Sara Ellis, a recurring character on USA Network's White Collar. Though it's not certain how long she'll remain on the mystery drama series, Burton, who returned Tuesday's episode "Burke's Seven," has plenty to say about what her character brings to the table and her chemistry with Neal (Matt Bomer), as well as her plans for the future. Check out Burton's Q-and-a from a recent conference call, which included BuddyTV's Carey Proctor.

White Collar held nothing back in "Burke's Seven."
After the fall finale, we were left wondering if the quirky and loveable Mozzie would survive the gunshot he sustained, and the writers wasted no time in relieving our fears, letting us know that he was, in fact, alive and in a medically-induced coma. I'm glad this was settled quickly, given how obvious the result seemed.
First, I loved the burned alias approach to capturing Larson. It was cool and clever and got the show off and running. Out of this, I liked most that the forging community was willing to aid Neal for Mozzie’s sake. It gave us a look into the other relationships involving Mozzie, something you may not have gotten a glimpse of under other circumstances.
Second, what makes a better opening episode than having one of your main characters accused of a crime he didn’t commit?...

Characterization on television these days is arguably at an all time high, which makes it very difficult for a TV Fanatic such as myself to keep up with the amount of quality shows on a growing number of networks.
In most cases, the best are able to perfectly balance their character development, providing each with robust contributions to the story. Examples of such brilliant execution include The Good Wife and Mad Men. In some instances, even procedurals like NCIS or comedies like 30 Rock are able to build and use each characters thoughtfully, within their own unique environments.
Then there are some equally smart and enjoyable programs that seem to struggle when it comes to achieving such parity. Here, I cite five characters from five different shows who I think suffer a bit from a character imbalance, and that I would like to see given more to do in their respective worlds:
Shirley Bennett,...

Now it all makes sense. After the preview for Tuesday’s White Collar episode “Unfinished Business,” it was hard to be left with anything but confusion. White collar crime consultant Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer), having a self-proclaimed aversion to violence, was apparently holding a gun, unwittingly hired to assassinate someone. While inside, he apparently came in contact with the real assassin, and through the windows we see shots are fired. Omg! But it was all some cleverly intriguing, if not somewhat confusing, editing. In “Unfinished Business,” FBI Agent Peter Burke (Tim DeKay) is brought a case by Sara Ellis (guest star Hilarie Burton), who we are told is someone who testified against Neal when he was first put in prison. She’s a sort of insurance broker who receives commission on hunting down things like stolen bonds, cars and paintings. So while Neal is enlisted to consult on the case,...

Another strong episode of White Collar this week, right?
Procedurals like this often rely on guest stars (though White Collar has an exceptionally strong center with Bomer, DeKay and crew) that can come in and mix things up a little bit for an episode and so the introduction of Hilarie Burton as Sara Ellis shot some life into “Unfinished Business.” I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a fan of Burton, who I think handled herself admirably on the much-maligned One Tree Hill for years (working opposite Chad Michael Murray can’t be fun). She’s a charming lady who brings an inherent sadness to her performance, in a good way. That’s why I was actually kind of shocked to see her on such a lighthearted series as this one, but thankfully the episode fit itself around her nicely.
By that I mean that Burton’s...
