What better way to celebrate the life of one of the world's greatest ever singers? A man who sold over 150 million records and won eleven Grammy Awards?
Scoop up some rejected singers from The Voice UK, gather some rejected props from The Voice UK and assemble some judges not good enough to be rejected from The Voice UK. Then put it on BBC One.
Spread all over last Saturday night like tar, Frank Sinatra: Our Way featured seven 'talented but unknown music acts from across the UK' who were competing to win a slot to perform at the singer's centenary concert later this year.
Presented by Alexander Armstrong and Rochelle Humes, who were both doing the best with what scraps they had, we were confronted with a judging panel that comprised of Rufus Hound, Mica Paris, Dave Stewart and Leo Green. And they had absolutely no sway at all.

It took us forever to recover from Girl Thing's so-tense-it-almost-snapped meeting on last week's Big Reunion, and now we have to deal with Damage's excruciating meet-up! Luckily, we also got lots of Kenzie's frankly terrible dancing and even some catty moments from the all-group rehearsal, so read on to find out what we learned from this episode...
1. Kenzie is a terrible dancer.
Yes, we kind of mentioned this already. But seriously, did you see him? In 5th Story's first rehearsals, he announced that he is "good at staging - walking and that". "Walking?" choreographer Paul Domaine repeated, deadpan, wondering what he'd got himself into. Kenzie did a little awkward shuffle thing which made us fall in love a little bit. To be fair to him, Blazin' Squad were hardly known for their complex dance routines, but after seeing this we're surprised Kenzie can even put one foot...

Well, that was intense. If it wasn't Girl Thing at each other's throats in Ireland or Kavana 'not putting the effort in' at 5th Story's studio sessions, it all got a bit heated in Big Reunion land - we needed at least three cuppas to handle the drama. But we survived, and we're all a bit more knowledgeable - here's what we learned from this week's episode...
1. Jodi Albert agreed to host Girl Thing's reunion at the Irish mansion she shares with Kian Egan.
Honestly, what was she thinking? How those tasteful sofas escaped without blood splatter, we'll never know. On the other hand, maybe it's because almost the first thing Jodi said to Linzi when seeing her for the first time in 13 years was that she had to take her shoes off or Kian would kill them.
2. Everyone in Girl Thing was terrified about the reunion.

Now most weeks as a TV and Digital Spy showbiz reporter are pretty unique; this week, however, takes the proverbial biscuit. Over the past seven days I've appeared in a soap opera (well, sort of), sat on a judging panel with voice coach to the stars Yvie Burnett, and set up a casting call for my own 'Prince Charming'! Even by my own standards that's one heck of a bizarre, yet fun, week. First up, hormonal teenagers across the land will be rejoicing, following news that for the first time since the band's success, One Direction's Liam Payne is now single and ready to mingle. It appears that 'long term' (huh... they're barely out of their teens!) dancer girlfriend Danielle Peazer and Liam were the latest casualty of a long-distance relationship, citing the busy popstar's work commitments and travels as the main issue. Online abuse from the (more)...

Yvie Burnett has played down suggestions that she has been "banished" by Simon Cowell. Not doing one show isn't going to change that. I'm fine. It wasn't a big role I played on Bgt and I was never on screen because it's not all about singers. "I'm in La working (more)...

Yvie Burnett has claimed that she isn’t upset about being getting the sack from ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ because her role wasn’t very significant.
The vocal coach – who helped train 2009 conetstant Susan Boyle and assisted her on the debut ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ debut album – was dropped from the ITV1 show as part of changes to the format, but Yvie insists there are no hard feelings towards show boss Simon Cowell.
She told the Daily Record newspaper: “I’m fine. It wasn’t a big role I played on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and I was never on screen because it’s not all about the singers.
“I’m in Los Angeles working on once of Simon’s singers, Jackie Evancho, so there’s no drama. I haven’t been banished. I’m busy being a vocal coach. Not doing one show isn’t going to change that.

Matt Cardle was reportedly furious with X Factor boss Simon Cowell this week, after the music mogul forced him to rehearse the group numbers planned for this weekend.
Savan Kotecha and Yvie Burnett had given Matt a vocal rest order and restricted the amount of singing he is allowed to do in the run up to tonight and tomorrow’s final shows. Suffering from tonsillitis and a chest infection the former painter and decorator had hoped for some extra time in bed to recuperate, however Cowell insisted that he practice all of the group numbers along with the other final fifteen contestants who made this year’s live shows.
A show insider told The Mirror:
“Matt has had a really rough fortnight. But Si was adamant all the contestants were in it together, and he shouldn’t miss any of the group rehearsals. The pair had a big row, Matt was fuming.

X Factor choreographer Brian Friedman has revealed that he threatened to stop working with Cher Lloyd, if she didn’t stop her temper tantrums.
The Creative Director has previously talked about Cher’s ‘meltdowns’, putting her volatile behaviour down to her young age.
In a new interview with Star magazine he admitted that he has started being tough on the 17 year old, in a bid to get the best from her. He said:
“I told her I wouldn’t deal with tantrums or crying – and that if she acted like a child I wouldn’t deal with her.”
He added: “It worked. Being tough on her was the best way to get her to perform. You’ve got to make her mad at you so she fights back.”
He added:
“She has her moments. She gets affected by any mistake, and is highly sensitive. I’d never heard so much...

Matt Edmondson thinks Mary Byrne may be the person eliminated from the X Factor on Sunday night.
Five acts are currently preparing for the semi final weekend and Louis Walsh previously confirmed that only one person will go and four will compete in the final next week.
Speaking about who he thinks may be in danger, F Factor presenter Matt Edmondson told Eamon Holmes and Ruth Langsford on This Morning:
I’ve always said for the final Rebecca, Matt, One Direction but I think, if the rumours are to be believed and there will be four people in the final, I suspect that Mary might go.
However he thinks her fans may be able to save her, if they make an extra effort. Matt added:

X Factor vocal coach Yvie Burnett has admitted that some of the contestants may exacerbate their illnesses at this stage of the competition, because they are paranoid about their voices.
The Scottish singer was chatting with Eamon Holmes and Ruth Langsford on This Morning about rumours that Matt Cardle, Mary Byrne and Cher Lloyd are all struggling with sore throats this week.
She said:
I think that it’s getting towards the end, everyone is getting really tense, which doesn’t help. If you’re a singer you start getting paranoid as soon as you get a twinge and I think sometimes you almost will yourself to be sick.

Wagner Carillho took on a song that could have been written especially for him on tonight’s X Factor show.
The Brazilian singer took on ‘Creep’ by Radiohead and for us the chorus was particularly poignant. Think about it….
But I’m a creep
I’m a weirdo
What the hell am I doin’ here?
I don’t belong here, ohhhh, ohhhh
Could it be anymore fitting?
Wagner started the song with no backing track, no loud music and we were shocked to hear that he could sing in tune. Could Yvie Burnett actually have turned this joke act into a semi-plausible performer?
Judges Comments:
Louis Walsh: It was your best performance yet, it was very believable performance. It was great! I know Thom Yorke and he would have loved it. It’s original!
Dannii Minogue: I have to say, that that is the best you’ve sung in the whole competition.

Several of this week's X Factor American Anthems song choices have been leaked. This week’s X Factor theme was confirmed by Yvie Burnett on yesterday’s F Factor episode. On Saturday night the contestants will be singing ‘American Anthems.’
It’s another wide theme, meaning that the judges can choose almost any song, from any genre of music. Many viewers have been criticising the vague guidelines each week, however we think it works well with singers as diverse as Treyc Cohen, Wagner Carillho and Cher Lloyd.
Check out the songlist below. This will be updated and added to as more information comes in.
Wagner Carillho: Elvis Presley…..Viva Las Vegas – Zoe Griffin heard him rehearse his dance routine to the tune repeatedly, in Covent Garden’s Nuffield Health Gym yesterday. Louis Walsh was on TV3 this evening and admitted that he wants Wagner to perform in an sparkly Elvis jumpsuit!
One Direction: No Boundaries – This was the winners single from the 2009 season of American Idol.

This week's X Factor will have an American Anthems theme, it has been confirmed. This week’s X Factor theme has finally been revealed!
It had previously been reported that Simon Cowell had chosen to go rock for Saturday night, then Mary Byrne slipped up and told Rte radio that the theme would be ballads. Today Metro insisted that the contestants would be focussing on songs by Madonna and Michael Jackson but later in the afternoon Zoe Griffin claimed on her blog that the theme will be ‘America.’
The London It girl was in Covent Garden’s Nuffield Health Gym and noticed that the X Factor finalists were also in the building, rehearsing their routines for the weekend’s live extravaganza.
Paije Richardson, Aiden Grimshaw, Treyc Cohen, Cher Lloyd and One Direction were present in the gym and Zoe claims that Elvis Presley’s Viva Las Vegas and Alicia Keys’ Empire State of Mind were being ‘constantly rehearsed.’

Speaking to The News Of The World Savan said:
“I compare Cher to Usher who I have done a lot of work with. She has all the instincts of a big urban artist.
“She could get a record deal right now. That’s how good she is.”
Despite criticism of her vocal skills and claims that she can only rap but not sing, Savan added:
“She has a fantastic voice. She’s also the sweetest girl but when she gets on the stage she knows how to turn it on.”

X Factor vocal coach Savan Kotecha has compared Katie Waissel to Us pop legend Katy Perry.
The American songwriter has been assisting Yvie Burnett in training and rehearsing with the finalists since they made the live shows and he denies report that Katie is an arrogant wannabe.
Savan told The News Of The World:
“Katie’s not arrogant but she’s got an American sense of ambition. That turns some people off in the UK.
“That’s just what Katy Perry was like. She tried to make it for eight years before she actually did.”
Katy stunned the judges with her quirky performance of Ella Fitzgerald’s ‘Bewitched’ on last night’s show. After her rendition Simon Cowell raved:

Scottish vocal coach Yvie Burnett has revealed that Simon Cowell apologised for sacking her from the X Factor.
Yvie first joined the show in Series 2 as Louis Walsh’s vocal coach and coached Shayne Ward to success as the series winner. In 2005, as well as working with Louis with groups, Yvie also coached Simon Cowell and Sharon Osbourne’s acts. Since then she has worked with all the show’s finalists as well as assisting both Britain’s and America’s Got Talent vocalists.
However earlier this year Cowell told Yvie that she was being replaced by Ali Tennant and he only rehired her three days before the live shows, when it became clear that the new vocal coach wasn’t working out.
On returning to The X Factor, Yvie told The Daily Record:
“Simon has apologised. He was lovely. He said, ‘Welcome back and I’m so happy you are back.

X Factor vocal coach has heaped praise on finalist Cher Lloyd, saying that she has the potential to be a real star.
The song writer, who has previously worked with show stars Alexandra Burke, Leona Lewis, Jls and American Idol winner Carrie Underwood, raved about the 17 year old singer/rapper saying:
“Cher is so focussed. She could sell records.”
Savan also admitted that many of this year’s contestants could go on to be huge stars saying:
“This year’s bunch is pretty amazing. I’ve worked with winners from past years but this year they have proper artists. Some of them could go straight into the market.”
However Kotecha admitted that he and fellow coach Yvie Burnett do sometimes get stressed, trying to help the finalists adapt their songs.
He said: “Sometimes, the music you like is not what you should sing.”

John Adeleye returned to The X Factor stage tonight and sang Donny Hathaways ‘A Song For You.’
We saw him crying in rehearsal, as the lyrics made him so emotional, John sounded so fragile that he almost brought vocal coach Yvie Burnett to tears as well.
Adeleye took to the stage dressed in a snappy suit and singing behind the judges bench, straight to the audience. He was note Perfect and his delivery was spot on. What we love about John is that he already looks and sounds like a professional, as far as vocal skills go, he is definitely up there with big Mary Byrne and fabulous Treyc Cohen!
Judges Comments:

Third on the X Factor stage tonight was London singer Paije Richardson.
Vocal coach Yvie Burnett advised him to step up his exercise regime, so that he can make it through a performance without getting out of breath. So it was straight to the gym for the chunky singer!
Paije emerged onstage tonight wearing a funky polka dot jackets, jeans and white trainers. We liked his vocals but the arrangement of the song was a little boring. He got into his groove in the second verse and seemed to grow in confidence when the key change kicked in. For us it was very good, but not an excellent performance.

Simon Cowell has reportedly sacked X Factor vocal coach Ali Tennant and rehired Yvie Burnett, just three days before the first live show.
We reported last month that Simon had terminated the X Factor contract of singing expert Burnett, but retained her services for both Britain’s and America’s Got Talent.
However, after complaints that rehearsals were not going to plan and the finalists were not progressing as they should be, The Sun reports that Simon Cowell has begged Burnett to return.

Yvie Burnett has claimed that any one of the three finalists could win this weekend’s X Factor final.
Yvie acts as vocal coach to the three singers, as well as stars like Paul Potts and Susan Boyle, and she has admitted that this year’s X Factor series is the most unpredictable yet.
Yvie told The Daily Record:
“This year it is really wide open.”
“Every single thing about this year has been a surprise. Every bottom two this year has been a shock.”
“It’s been the most unpredictable voting.
“Normally at this stage you think, ‘well it’ll probably be so and so’, but this year I really can’t say.”
Yvie thinks that Joe, Stacey and Olly are all so different from one another, that it makes the result harder to predict.
She said: “What are the viewers going to look for because they all so different?...

Former X Factor singer Jamie Archer has admitted that he understands why Danyl Johnson went into meltdown over his song choice for this week.
Reports emerged this morning that Danyl had walked out of a rehearsal session with Yvie Burnett and had a row with Simon Cowell after he was told that he would be singing George Michael’s Praying For Time on this weekend’s show.
On why Danyl got so upset, Jamie told The Mirror:
“I spoke to Danyl on my way down here and had a nice long chat with him to see how things were going.
“He told me about how he went to Simon’s office. It’s very high pressure, I don’t think anyone can ever understand what it’s truly like to be in that house.
“It’s the same thing for me and the same thing for Dan. People will flair up from time to time.

Next week’s X Factor theme will be songs from the big screen….in other words, Movie Week. Holly Willoughby confirmed the decision in a chat with Yvie Burnett and Brian Friedman on tonight’s Xtra Factor.
I am hoping and praying that we get through the night without someone murdering Celine Dion’s ‘My Heart Will Go On’.
Brian said the big dance number will go to John and Edward Grimes. Obviously the judges think that if they distract us with big routines, pyrotechnics and hot backing dancers, we’ll miss the fact that Jedward can’t actually sing. In their favour, it has been a sound strategy so far.
Appearing on Sunday night’s results show will be The Black Eyed Peas and Leona Lewis.

X Factor singer Jamie Archer, has admitted that he lost confidence after performing on the show’s Big Band week.
Simon Cowell changed Jamie’s song just 24 hours before the live show, a decision which reportedly caused trouble between the pair.
