Exclusive: TikTok, in partnership with MacRo and UnbeliEVAble Entertainment, has revealed the 10 recipients of its Latinx Creatives Grant.
They include Miguel Dalmau, Giovanna Gonzalez, Herchell Carrasco, Gabrielle Cerberville, Jonathan Perez, Ileana Cabrera, Jorge Alvarez, Dr. Leslie Gonzalez, Jose Luis Cisneros-Carlos, and Francisco Cardozo.
The grant was created following the success of the 2021 TikTok Latinx Creatives creator incubator last year which saw 150 creators and emerging music artists learn how to take their content on the platform to the next level. It will serve to continue supporting creators, both on and off the platform, financially, and with educational programming and networking opportunities.
“We are thrilled to offer this opportunity to these Latinx creators and artists who drive culture and are at the forefront of creating trends on the TikTok platform,” said Isabel Quinteros, Director of Artist Partnerships at TikTok. “MacRo and UnbeliEVAble are industry leaders when it comes to championing diverse creatives in media,...

Monday’s episode of So You Think You Can Dance at last revealed the Top 10 contestants for Season 14, after weeks of stunning auditions, brutal training at The Academy and far too much footage of the All-Stars looking conflicted about who to cut.
Over the course of two hours, we finally learned who each All-Star decided to bring to the performance shows — and the resulting duos set a very high bar in their first live outing.
Below, let’s recap Monday’s routines, in the order each finalist was revealed:

Oh, how I’ve missed you, So You Think You Can Dance — the real you, that is.
After shaking things up in 2015 with the lackluster “Stage Vs. There were no teams, no child contestants and — perhaps the best news of all — not a single frame of footage featuring Jason Derulo. Praise be.

Chad Everett Leaves Behind Memorable TV Legacy With Our Favorite Shows
It was very sad hearing that Chad Everett had passed away from cancer, and more than a little surprising. I don't keep up on the health of celebrities so this may not be news, but it turns out that Everett had been battling Lung Cancer for a year and a half. During that time Everett had filmed an episode of Castle, appearing as Jerry Maddox in "The Blue Butterfly", and 14 episodes of Chemistry. Yes, Chad really was that tough.
Everett had a ton of memorable screen time under his belt, but my personal favorite will always be his turn as Dean Winchester in the Supernatural episode "The Curious Case of Dean Winchester". Everett nailed the lingo and mannerisms of Jensen Ackles with memorable, and very funny, perfection.
His long running television career includes appearances in Maverick, Bronco, 77 Sunset Strip,...

Earlier in the week some of you were suggesting that I drop the "Intern" part of my name since I have graduate. It's very kind of you, but puts me in a bind because I'm the one who chose the term "Intern Rusty" so that prospective employers googling me didn't necessarily turn up discussions of thrush and what shows are best for the casual viewer who appreciates handsome men but not plot. If you had any doubt that Hollywood was reliant on big movie franchises, let them be eradicated right about now...
As has long been the case, sequels are a reliable way of making plenty of cash from recognisable names. They've been a part of the Hollywood filmmaking process for decades, and as this list of 95 sequels currently in the works proves, will continue to be so for as long as we stump up the cash to go and see them.
We've been doing this list annually for a couple of years now, and this year's collection is, perhaps unsurprising, the longest round-up of upcoming sequels that we've done. Still, given that there are nearly a hundred sequels listed below, we're a little sad to see that Hollywood's people in suits couldn't find room for a belated return to Mac And Me...

When the announcement of Tom Hardy’s inclusion in Chris Nolan’s third and final Batman film was initially made, the rumour hounds went crazy over who he would play, with the top three options lining up as The Riddler, Hugo Strange and Bane, with the masked muscle-bound madman coming in a distant third in that particular race. So it wasn’t hugely surprising to find a vocal and vociferous opposition to the further announcement that the Brit would indeed be taking on the role of he who is often referred to as the anti-Batman.
But, given the time to reflect on the decision, and the way Bane (and also Anne Hathaway’s Selina Kyle) will fit in with the rest of the Nolan universe, I think the casting is genius. And here, my Batman-loving friends, is why:

Fuquay-varina - It was a speedy two days with major stars dropping into my neighborhood.
On a Thursday night the man who made predicted FedEx arrived at a Durham library. Mister McFeely (David Newell) still fits in his Speedy Delivery uniform and hat as he greeted Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood fans of all ages. Most of the ages were under seven. Luckily I had brought along a little kid in order not to stick out.
McFeely was at the end of a weeklong tour around the state to touch base with the kids. Lately whenever any star of kid focused tv shows comes to town, it’s part of some over inflated media spectacular stage show at the sports arena. There’s singing, dancing, indoor fireworks and motorcycle stunts meant to dazzle a three year old. Plus there’s a $18 convenience charge on the tickets. But this was not McFeely’s type of entertainment.

I had a great time talking to these three gentlemen. tWitch and Legacy both came from "So You Think You Can Dance" while Adam G. Sevani previously starred in "Step Up 2 The Streets." All three are fantastic dancers, And They Taught Me How To Dance! In this interview:
*** Why do they dance?
*** Why is there such a renaissance in all things dancing now? (shows like "So You Think," and "Dancing with the Stars" are hits, and of course, the "Step Up" movies, now even getting a 3D treatment)
*** How do "dance" affect other aspects of their lives?

Ok, so it’s not going to win any awards, but this film was a lot of fun – and I’d definitely see it again!
So here’s the skinny on Step Up 3-D: masterpiece theatre it’s not, but it definitely brings drama, romance and comedy to the table. After hitting the film’s La premiere August 2, I can tell you that it’s definitely a fun film-going experience!
Curly-haired hip-hop kid Moose (Adam G. Sevani)- who was also featured in the series’ second film – is back as a freshman at Nyu with his Bff, Camille (Camp Rock’s Alyson Stoner). He’s recruited by a tight-knit group of NYC street dancers called the Pirates including Luke (the gorgeous Rick Malambri) and Natalie (Sharni Vinson); the team goes on to battle some of the best hip-hop dancers in the world. A B-Boy who talks big, Jose Ruiz "knows" he's better than Season 6 "So You Think You Can Dance" alum Legacy, who wowed viewers and judges with several Top 20 performances last fall.
The good thing about Jose? He's got the big talent to back that talk up, as you can see from his initial audition above.
Belly-Mills!
All right.
Love it.
Take a look as I give Jose a little grief about his smack-talk on Legacy and he tells me about his desire to team up with Season 3 B-boy/Season 7 all-star Dominic "D-Trix" Sandoval...

We're feeling the re-tooled So You Think You Can Dance this season already. Not only does the talent seem fresher and stronger than ever, but city auditions are already done!
Last night, Dallas and Nashville dancers vied for tickets to Las Vegas, which comprised the latter portion of the episode. Dallas definitely produced the stronger crop of the two.
In fact, only seven made it out of Tennessee. Weak, Nashville. Fortunately, there was quality move-busting in Texas and Vegas. Specifically, from a couple of familiar faces:
Billy Bell, who dropped out from Season 6 after being diagnosed with mono Alex Wong, who dropped out of Season 5 because of a contract situation
Both were back and better than ever.
Raw Talent: Eat your heart out, Dancing with the Stars.
In Vegas week, the first day was devoted to hip-hop, where a couple of early favorites this season were nixed. The second day...

Uncoordination doesn't run in the family of new "Dancing with the Stars" cast member Erin Andrews (right) and sister Kendra (left), pictured with Espn's Dan Patrick.
Kendra, 27, says she is honored to be taking part in the Oscars. She tells Tbo Extra, "Hundreds of dancers auditioned and I'm happy to be on stage."
Espn sportscaster Erin Andrews was just announced as a participant for the tenth season of "Dancing with the Stars" on ABC. Andrews is paired with Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
The sisters grew up in FLorida, attending rival universities (Florida State for Kendra and the University of Florida for Erin) where they were both on their respective school's dance team.
Kendra says the dancing she is doing for the Oscars is a surprise -- "I'm not allowed to talk about it because we want viewers to be surprised - but it is amazing." We wonder if she's met Legacy from...

"Glee's" Harry Shum, Jr. may be jokingly called "Other Asian" on the show, but he's not just any generic Asian face in the crowd.
The performer who plays Mike Chang on "Glee" is also a dancer and choreographer known for his work in the iconic iPod silhouette ad campaign, in "Step Up 2: The Streets" and as part of the Legion of Extraordinary Dancers (Lxd) crew. In fact, it's this skill that has earned him a ticket to the Oscars.
Shum and Chris Scott are associate co-choreographing an Lxd number at the 82nd Annual Academy Awards, taking place on Sunday, March 7 in Hollywood.
"We're finishing up rehearsals, and it's getting to the point where the picture is there," Shum tells Zap2it during a break from shooting "Glee." "We've created something really special, and I can't wait for the world to see it."

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum's longtime friend Adam Shankman ("So You Think You Can Dance" judge and producer of all the 'Step Up' films) is also producing this year's Oscars with Bill Mechanic.
Industry news site Deadline Hollywood is throwing out some Oscar spoilers by reporting that there may be a larger focus on younger viewers this year in the telecast. Supposedly, the way they're going to achieve that goal is to have up and comers like Chan, Taylor Lautner, and Zac Efron participate in the show.
At this point, this is purely a Rumor, but Adam did confirm via Twitter that the show will be packed with Sytycd favorites like "Travis, Ivan, Jaimie, Kayla, Ellenore, Russell, Jakob, Kathryn, Nick Lazzarini, Legacy, Channing, Lil C, Kupono & more".

Former "So You Think You Can Dance" contestants will be showing up at the Academy Awards, thanks to telecast producer Adam Shankman, who's also a judge/choreographer on the Fox competition show.
Deadline Hollywood reported Tuesday (Feb. 16): "don't be surprised if some of his [Oscars] dancers are culled from past contestants on 'So You Think You Can Dance.'"
Well, we're certainly not surprised. Zap2it broke this news last week in our interview with "Sytycd's" Legacy, who confirmed he'll be dancing at the Academy Awards.
"Either I'll be performing with Lxd [The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers] or I'm doing some stuff with Adam," Legacy said. Check out what else Legacy had to say about the Oscars.
The Oscars will air March 7 on ABC, and a new season of "Sytycd" will be back on May 27.
We think the big question now is who else from "Sytycd" will be joining Legacy on stage? We'd love to see Twitch!

What will Sandra Bullock, Helen Mirren, Meryl Streep, Carey Mulligan, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Vera Farmiga and all the other Oscar-nominated actresses wear on the Academy Awards red carpet on March 7?
The Dish Rag has no clue. Seriously, not a clue yet.
But we do know what Victoria Beckham will be wearing.
And no, it ain't gonna be anything by Armani. Not after he uncermoniously dumped Posh Spice for Megan Fox in his underwear ads.
And no, we have no idea why Posh was invited to the Oscars either. But considering "So You Think You Can Dance's" Legacy and company are performing on the telecast instead of the original song artists nominees we'll go with it and won't ask questions.
Anyway we're pretty sure this is the dress (pictured right). And it looks like it was made for Posh. A cappuccino-colored draped silk "Martha Graham" gown from her very own Vb collection.

In this morning’s roundup of Oscar news ‘n’ notes from around the web, Tarantino names his inspirations, Queen Bigelow gets her court and Adam Shankman hires a lot of dancers.
Adam Shankman tweets a detail about the Oscar show: “Fyi: there's 69 dancers this year... Valentine's Day brings out the traditionalist in "So You Think You Can Dance's" Legacy.
He likes to keep it simple when it comes to the holiday and offers this advice.
"Share, get together with whoever that makes your heart throb," he tells Zap2it. "Go eat some lunch or maybe some breakfast, start the day good. Some chocolate, some flowers should be good. Chocolates throughout the day. And then a nice movie end would finish it off for a great classy Valentine's Day. And then a little gift, like a teddy bear of something cool."
And although he's been described as a teen heartthrob, Legacy doesn't pay attention to the label much.
"I really don't know what that means, but it sounds cool," he says, adding that he's gotten good feedback from "Sytycd" fans who identified with his message of hope.

Having connections pays off for 'So You Think You Can Dance' contestant Jonathan "Legacy" Perez. Zap2it has confirmed that Legacy will be a part of the Academy Awards, dancing with The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers. He received the position after he helped 'Sytycd' judge Adam Shankman with the audition process. Shankman is producing the Oscars with Bill Mechanic.
Unlike the Emmys, which have an Outstanding Choreography category, having dancers on the Oscars feels out of place. The five songs nominated for Best Original Song don't have any place for breakdancers, so my only guess is that the show will open with a flashy performance. Legacy hasn't provided any solid details to how he will be involved.

"So You Think You Can Dance's" Legacy will be at the Academy Awards, but not for his emotionally wrought crying scenes.
The busy b-boy will take part in a dance routine at the Oscars on Sunday, March 7 in Hollywood, reuniting with "Sytycd" judge Adam Shankman, who's also producing the Oscars alongside Bill Mechanic.
"I will be part of the Academy Awards," Legacy confirmed to Zap2it Wednesday (Feb. 10). "Lxd [The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers crew] got asked to perform in it. Either I'll be performing with Lxd or I'm doing some stuff with Adam."
Unfortunately, Jonathan "Legacy" Perez didn't have any details about the routine yet, but he filled us in on the audition process, where he didn't have to dance one step.
"I was asked to sit by the main choreographers and Adam Shankman," said Legacy. "A lot of people who watched the show, a lot of dancers were inspired by what we did.

Legacy, one of the standouts from "So You Think You Can Dance's" sixth season, is a fan of another Fox reality competition show.
Born Jonathan Perez, the b-boy makes time for "American Idol" despite his busy, dance-filled schedule.
"I've seen some of the audition process," Legacy told Zap2it in a phone interview. "I enjoy that part and if I can TiVo after that I try to sit down and watch to see who is my favorite and who has potential."
He especially supports Ellen DeGeneres, who made her debut at the judges table on Tuesday night's (Feb. 9) Hollywood Week episode.
"I think it's great. She brings the comedy, that sensibility," he said. "I've performed for her before on her show, on her 50th birthday. I've been connected with performing over there for a while. When we got kicked off, we got the chance to dance for her, Mollee [Gray] and I.

When the So You Think You Can Dance competition began, we only knew Kathryn McCormick as the girl with the inappropriately high crying voice. But as the season progressed, we began to cry the contemporary dancer’s name as we watched her unleash her beautiful dance skills. Just hours after landing third place in the competition, Kathryn called us up to talk about those notorious tears, her favorite dance, and her rumored romance with Legacy. Entertainment Weekly: We all thought you were going to at least land second place last night. Third place isn’t shabby, but are you surprised at the outcome last night?...

So You Think You Can Dance winner Russell Ferguson has revealed the real story behind his injury on last night's results show. In an interview with People, he said that he sprained his ankle during the hip-hop routine with Kevin Hunte and Jonathan 'Legacy' Perez. "At the end, I was pretty much running off of adrenaline. After I jumped off the stage into krump, when Kevin and 'Legacy' pulled me back up, I had come down on my leg wrong and something shifted over my ankle and it caused it to swell up. And it was real tight, so I wasn't cleared to be able to dance for the rest of the night. But I could walk," he explained. He went on to admit that the moment was made even more frightening (more)...

A stunning upset by the underdog! A come-from-behind victory that changes everything we ever thought about dance, art and reality television! And a totally believable attempt by Jennifer Lopez to convince us that she wasn't lip-synching! Absolutely none of these things happened on "So You Think You Can Dance" last night. And I don't think anyone's exactly complaining.
Just about everyone with eyes could have predicted that Jakob and Russell would be the top two dancers since, oh, the first top 20 competition. Ok, I predicted that Jakob would take the title in the end, but Russell's smile always held a magical power — and when he also pulled off some amazing pirouettes, a decent paso doble and showed off a bit of krumping on Tuesday night, he clinched the votes he needed. And I don't think anyone's sorry he did.

What a finale for krumper Russell Ferguson.
He experienced the highest of highs, earning the "So You Think You Can Dance" season 6 crown. However, the night was no fairytale for him.
Suffering an injury at the end of the hip hop number he performed with fellow finalists Legacy Perez and Kevin Hunte, Russell lost control of his emotions when he realized what had happened.
So what did happen?
"When I was coming up, back onto the stage after jumping off and being all in the camera's face, I landed wrong," Russell told us. "And I guess something got like shifted or like stretched out of place in my leg... It got real numb and swollen."
So why was he able to jump for joy when he found out he'd won the competition an hour later?
As Russell explains in the clip below, he could walk and he could bend his leg,...

The most painful part of tonight's So You Think You Can Dance finale was not watching Adam Lambert turn in a creatively neutered performance of "Whattya Want From Me." No, it was seeing krumper Russell Ferguson limp onto the stage for the first cut of the night with help from fellow top-sixer Ryan Di Lillo. "I messed my leg up," Russell told a startled Cat Deeley, who needed the immediate delivery of a new microphone after the sound had pooped out moments before. The fan fave was unable to dance any further after perhaps busting his knee during the hip-hop number he stomped out with Legacy Perez and Kevin Hunte. So the audience had to make do with taped versions of the two other...

Though Ellenore performed a Travis Wall contemporary routine in the semi-finals -- you remember, the table number with Legacy -- which "So You Think You Can Dance" judge Nigel Lythgoe believes to be Emmy-worthy (we wholeheartedly agree), the quirky and creative dancer seemed shocked when she realized she had made the finals over Mollee.
Why?
As Ellenore explains, Mollee had an amazing night with Jakob, turning out two incredibly solid performances. And since the judges didn't like Ellenore's hip hop, she figured she was out.
But America ultimately decided to keep her around to compete for the Season 6 crown and she is looking forward to it.
Jakob as well.
Curious what they're most looking forward to?
Well, Jakob can't wait to reunite with his original partner, Ashleigh. But he's also dying to dance alongside Kathryn, whom he's never before been paired with.

So You Think You Can Dance contestant Mollee Gray has said that she wants to star on Broadway for her next move. The 18-year-old lyrical jazz dancer told People that she'd love the opportunity after being ousted from the competition with Jonathan 'Legacy' Perez this week. "Honestly, I don't you know what's in my future, but I hope that it involves acting, singing and dancing because I have been acting for seven years. I've been singing for about five. I feel like I have the (more)...

With such an amazing group of dancers fighting for a spot in the first fall finale of So You Think You Can Dance, it made sense that Wednesday's results were surprising. Despite an injured shoulder that prevented her from competing Tuesday, Ashleigh avoided elimination -- and didn't even end up in the bottom four. And while her husband Ryan did land in the bottom (again), America pushed him through as well. "There was a huge groundswell of emotion that has swept Ryan and Ashleigh into the finals," Nigel Lythgoe told People backstage after the show, referring to Ryan's emotional plea...

This morning I had the pleasure of chatting with Legacy Perez, the latest dancer to be eliminated from So You Think You Can Dance. We didn't imagine we'd be talking to Legacy until after the finale, but Legacy seemed content with how things played out. Truthfully he says, he's still surprised and thankful he made it into the Top 20 at all.
Legacy chatted about his time on So You Think You Can Dance, last night's results, his love for contemporary, and what he hopes is next for him.

After a results show featuring Kris Allen and K-Mart, So You Think You Can Dance found its final six, and it does not include Mollee or Legacy, who were both eliminated. Mollee was eliminated and Ellenore stayed, but even she was shocked, because when Cat said her name, Ellenore said, "Am I in it or is she in it?" Legacy was eliminated and Ryan stayed and thus will be in the finale with Ashleigh, his...

Seeing Legacy eliminated this week after the phenomenal Travis Wall "War of the Roses/Mr. & Mrs. Smith" piece he performed with Ellenore? And Mollee axed too, though she had one of the finest performance shows of the season this Tuesday?
Well, it proves that America is not always voting based on merit.
But as judge Adam Shankman points out in the clip below, the votes probably weren't votes against Legacy and Mollee, just more in support of married couple Ryan and Ashleigh.
After Ashleigh's untimely injury and Ryan's romantic plea to vote for her, the tide clearly turned their way.
So Legacy and Mollee are out of crown contention, but as you'll see in their clip, they couldn't be more proud of the Top 6 and seem to be in great spirits regardless.
One thing they may be bummed about, however, is that they're now ineligible for this year's special prize,...

The contestants of "So You Think You Can Dance" season 6 have been narrowed down to 6 on Wednesday, December 9. Two were sent home, while Ashleigh Di Lello was absent from performing after popping her shoulder out of her socket.
Jonathan "Legacy" Perez and Ryan Dilello were in the bottom two in men's part. And when it came to women's turn, Mollee Gray and Ellenore Scott were revealed as the two to be in the unsafe zone. The safe participants beside Ashley thus were Jakob Karr, Russell Ferguson, and Kathryn McCormick.
While the folks in the bottom four were preparing for their solos, the so-called "Asia's No. 1 Pop Group," the Wonder Girls took the stage and performed their hit single "I Want Nobody But You", which reportedly is the English version of "Nobody". And prior to the final results, audience were treated to a performance from "American Idol" 8th season champion Kris Allen...
