Exclusive: Pathé and Chapter 2 have announced the start of shoot in Morocco today for Martin Bourboulon’s Afghanistan evacuation drama In The Hell Of Kabul: 13 Days, 13 Nights and unveiled new cast additions.
Rising French actress Lyna Khoudri (French Dispatch) and Danish Bafta-winning Borgen star Sidse Babett Knudsen have joined the cast, which is led by Roschdy Zem, and also features respected theatre actor Christophe Montenez of The Comédie Française.

Pathé has dropped a first-look image from “The Lost King,” the upcoming feature film about the astonishing 2012 discovery of King Richard III’s remains. In the film, Oscar nominated and Golden Globe winning actress Sally Hawkins will play Philippa Langley, the woman who uncovered the remains which had been lost for 500 years.
An amateur historian, Langley spent years researching and searching for the ruins, in spite of skepticism from friends, family and academics. She is now president of the Scottish branch of the Richard III Society, and co-authored, with Michael K. Jones, “The King’s Grave: The Discovery of Richard III’s Lost Burial Place and the Clues It Holds.”

On Wednesday, Series Mania hosts digital presentations of drama series projects developed during a writing residency attended by 12 writers from France and Israel, whose credits include leading shows like “The Bureau,” “Fauda” and “Braquo.”
The week-long residency, initiated by France’s Cnc and Israel’s Gesher Multicultural Film Fund, was supervised by Italian scriptwriter Stefano Sardo and Israeli writer-producer Yoram Mandel. Five projects have been selected for Series Mania.
Espionage thriller “The Loyalists” by Alix Deniger and Eran B.Y., centers on two agents from rival intelligence agencies – a devious Israeli family guy and a straightforward French ladies’ man. They are forced to cooperate in a sophisticated operation to seduce and manipulate a Syrian scientist and his secret mistress – the Syrian defense minister’s daughter – in order to prevent a biological attack on Israel.
Deniger is a serving police commander, with 34 years of experience, including 11 years working in anti-terrorist intelligence. He...
