In a clip exclusive to People from the upcoming season 4 premiere of Esquire’s docuseries Friday Night Tykes, 11-year-old Erik Cavallin is taken away in an ambulance after taking a brutal hit on the field.
“He’s having a seizure,” Texas Storm coach and president Lori Hurt screams as she rushes out onto the field to Erik. Gordon Cavallin, Erik’s father and the team’s assistant coach, is just steps behind her.
“It was dirty,” Texas Storm parent Aprill Evert says of the “head shot” that took Erik down.

The body of Craig Morgan's son, Jerry Greer, has been found, but what caused the 19-year-old's death while tubing on Kentucky Lake in Tennessee is still a mystery. Greer was wearing a life jacket when he came off the tube and entered the water on Sunday, and was still wearing it when his body was recovered from the lake on Monday evening. Authorities do not yet know why despite the presence of the life jacket, Greer did not come up from under the water. "This was just a tragic accident as far as hitting a wave and coming off [the tube] and not coming up,...

It’s been a couple months since the last edition of What’s Up Doc? placed Michael Moore’s surprise world premiere of Where To Invade Next at the top of this list and in the meantime much shuffling has taken place and much time has been spent on various new endeavors (namely my Buffalo-based film series, Cultivate Cinema Circle). Finally taking its rightful place at the top, D.A. Pennebaker and Chris Hagedus’ Unlocking the Cage is in the midst of being scored by composer James Lavino, according to Lavino’s own personal site. Though the project has been taking shape at its own leisurely pace, I’d expect to see the film making its festival debut in early 2016.

It was a big night for Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder at the 2014 Espy Awards, as he took home two of three possible awards. Durant took home top honors as Best Male Athlete, and scored Best NBA Player as well. Ufc fighter Ronda Rousey was declared Best Female Athlete. In a ceremony hosted by Drake, Auburn's big win over top-ranked Alabama got plenty of attention, too. Chris Davis scored Best Play for the missed field goal touchdown return that handed Auburn the game. And the Iron Bowl match-up between the two college teams took Best Game. See photos: Espy.

Drake hosted the 2014 Espy Awards Wednesday night in Los Angeles, where he took the opportunity to roast LeBron James and Johnny Manziel – and get a dig in on fellow rapper Macklemore.
Drake Hosts The ESPYs
Drake couldn’t resist telling an early joke at King James’ expense, as the standout NBA player recently dragged out his free agency, ultimately deciding to leave Miami to return to Cleveland.
"Two years, $40 million. Now look, some people are happy about it, some people aren't happy,” Drake said during his opening monologue. “Me personally, I think it makes sense financially. You know what $40 million gets you in Miami? A really nice house. You know what $40 million gets you in Cleveland? Cleveland. All of it. You get the whole thing."
