The ABC revealed the casts and storylines of its 2016 adult dramas, all previously commissioned and announced, at its upfronts presentation on Tuesday night.

Nowhere Boys: Book of Shadows is set to hit Australian cinemas on January 1.
After two seasons on ABC television, the 82-minute family film will bring together Felix (Dougie Baldwin, Andy (Joel Lok), Sam (Rahard Adams) and Jake (Matt Testro) for one final spell when Felix discovers a sealed Book of Shadows.
The ABC3 series, aimed at the 8-14-year-old market, began when the four teens got lost during a school excursion and found themselves in a parallell world.
The feature film will add rising star Angourie Rice to the cast. Rice first came to the screen in These Final Hours and will soon be seen in Us feature The Nice Guys with Ryan Gosling.
Series regulars Darci McDonald (Ellen), Sean Ree-Wemyss (Oscar), Michala Banas (Phoebe), Victoria Thaine (Alice), Ben Keller (Bear), Tamala Shelton (Mia) and Michelle Gerster (Viv) willl also return for the film..

Commissioned by Sbs, Prison Songs, which looks at the inmates of Darwin.s Berrimah Prison who share their feelings and experiences through hip hop, blues, country, reggae and gospel tunes, won the humanitarian and investigation award.

SYDNEY -- The Australian film and TV awards season kicked off Wednesday with the announcement of nominations for the annual Inside Film awards, with the Australia -Singapore co-production Home Song Stories dominating the 2007 lineup.
Tony Ayres' semi-autobiographical film about a Chinese singer and her family who settle in Australia in the '70s picked up nine total noms, including best feature film, best director, best actor (Joel Lok) and best actress (Joan Chen).
The IF Awards are considered the people's choice awards, voted by readers of Inside Film magazine, although the awards for best director, best editing, best production design and best sound are voted on by industry professionals in each craft category.
Also vying for best picture are Dee McLachlan's independently-financed and produced thriller The Jammed, about the sex slave trade in underground Melbourne, which was nominated in a total of six categories, and Michael James Rowland's gentle comedy about Iranian and Cambodian refugees, Lucky Miles, which received five nominations.
