Robert Gandt is a former naval officer, an international airline
captain, and a prolific military and aviation writer. He is the author
of 14 books, including the novels With Hostile Intent (Penguin, 2001)
and Black Star Rising (Penguin, 2007). His screen credits include the
CBS television series Pensacola: Wings of Gold, adapted from his
acclaimed military aviation work Bogeys and Bandits (Viking, 1997). His
book, The Twilight Warriors, released in November 2010 by Random House,
was the winner of the Samuel Eliot Morison Prize for Literature.
