David F. Sandberg is a Swedish film director from Jönköping who is known for directing the superhero comedy film Shazam and the horror films Lights Out and Annabelle: Creation. He lives on the autism spectrum. He also provided the voice of Mister Mind at the end of Shazam and made several short horror films throughout his career.
David F. Sandberg is the older brother of independent game developer Joakim Sandberg a.k.a Konjak, whose main claim to fame is his 2012 hit Noitu Love 2: Devolution.
He learned about film making from Svante Rosberg, the film commissioner who ran Film i Jönköping when he started, and whom Sandberg considers his mentor.
