“Doctor Dave,” a new medical drama series starring Dave Coulier, who played Joey Gladstone on the sitcom “Full House,” is in development from Dan Merchant’s Going Local Productions. Coulier and Merchant co-created.
Coulier plays Dave, “a beloved pediatrician who uses humor and compassion to care for his patients and for the diverse and eccentric ensemble of co-workers at a struggling Detroit hospital.”
“I first worked with Dave on our radio show comedy ‘Live + Local’ for Great American Pure Flix, but it was at a time when he had just endured a very heavy personal loss,” Merchant, who will serve as showrunner, says in a statement. “Dave was so candid about this loss and shared his pain in such a gentle way – and then turned it on when the cameras rolled and made me laugh so hard… just got me thinking about the kind of show I’d love...

John Stamos is feeling nostalgic about his Full House family.
The 60-year-old Uncle Jesse actor took to social media on Thursday (December 21) to share a photo of his original costars together in front of the Tanner family’s home.
He noted that it was “one of the last pictures” of everyone before Bob Saget‘s tragic death at the age of 65 in 2022.
Keep reading to find out more…
The photo features John and Bob with Dave Coulier (Uncle Joey), Candace Cameron Bure (DJ Tanner), Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner) and Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler). Everyone looks so happy to be together.
“One of the last pictures of all of us in San Fran in front of the iconic Painted Lady,” he wrote alongside the photo on Instagram.
The only original Full House actors who were not there were Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who did not return for the Netflix spinoff series Fuller House.

Jodie Sweetin is expressing disappointment that her upcoming film Craft Me a Romance will air on Great American Family, where her former Full House co-star Candace Cameron Bure has a deal.
In a statement shared with The Hollywood Reporter, Sweetin said she was not aware that the rom-com would land at the cable channel, which was the subject of headlines late last year when Cameron Bure said that “traditional marriage” would be the focus of stories featured on Great American Family. This was in contrast to the Hallmark Channel, the previous home for Cameron Bure’s numerous Christmas rom-coms, having recently featured LGBTQ characters in its movies.
“Sometimes, we, as actors, don’t have control over which network buys the projects we are in nor are we a part of the process in which they get sold,” Sweetin said. “So I was very surprised to learn by reading about it...

A new iteration of the Full House series was a brewing possibility when actor Bob Saget suddenly died in 2022. Jodie Sweetin, who played Stephanie Tanner, said despite the loss, the cast could reunite someday in some capacity.
“I don’t know that we’re done with the Full / Fuller legacy,” Sweetin said on the Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef podcast.
“But I do think it’s going to have to be some time from now after Bob,” she said. “I think that would be a big loss. I think, obviously it’s something that would, could be dealt with at some point.”
“But I do think that definitely is a big hole in all of our hearts right now, so we’ll see,” she added. “We always joke that we’re up for a Golden Girls-type version of Kimmy and Steph and DJ living somewhere in Miami wearing Mumus on the Lanai.

John Stamos may have toured with The Beach Boys, had a terrific stint on ER and made a deal with the devil to look that good on the brink of 60, but he will always be Uncle Jesse to us. But as it turns out, John Stamos didn’t enjoy certain aspects of Full House, admitting that early on he did not have mercy on his co-stars – Michelle, Stephanie and D.J., that is.
On a recent episode of First We Feast’s Hot Ones, John Stamos remembered being heated when his younger Full House co-stars were getting the bulk of the attention. “I hated that show,” he said, before admitting, “Obviously, I ended up loving it.” The center of his problems came in the form of Jodie Sweetin, who played Stephanie Tanner. “[She] reads her lines [at a table read], and people are dying laughing, I mean screaming. I was like, ‘What’s happening here?...

Full House star John Stamos appeared on the latest episode of Hot Ones, where he admitted to being upstaged by his former child co-star to the point where he almost quit. Stamos, who starred in the lead role as Jesse Katsopolis on the ABC sitcom, explained how Jodie Sweetin, who played Stephanie Tanner, stole the show during a table read. “We did a table read of it, and I was the star. I was coming off of General Hospital… big shot, you know, that kind of thing,” the actor explained. “And we sit down, and we start reading. And Jodie Sweetin, who plays Stephanie, reads her lines, and people are dying laughing, I mean screaming. Candace Cameron Bure has an iffy track record when it comes to the LGBTQ+ community. In the past, she’s been extensively criticized and accused by her peers of excluding queer people, while some have even gone so far as to publicly call her a “bigot.” Given all that, many assumed Bure was the person in question when actress and Fuller House guest star Miss Benny said on TikTok that “one of the Tanner sisters” advocated for the removal of the show’s first openly queer character (played by Miss...

Candace Cameron Bure is speaking out after Miss Benny claimed, in a TikTok video, that a castmember tried to have their character removed from Netflix’s Fuller House.
On Thursday, the Glamorous star, who played Casey, who they say was “the first gay character in the Full House franchise,” shared a video on TikTok, saying “one of the Tanner sisters” who was “very publicly not for the girls” tried to have their character removed.
“I remember I got sat down by the writers and the studio to basically warn me how this person allegedly was trying to get the character removed and not have a queer character on the show,” said Miss Benny, who came out as transgender last month. “I was also sort of warned and prepared that this person’s fan base might be encouraged to target me specifically.”

Candace Cameron Bure is pushing back against an accusation that she asked for a queer character to be removed from “Fuller House,” the “Full House” sequel series that aired for five seasons and 75 episodes on Netflix between 2016 and 2020. Miss Benny, the current star of Netflix’s “Glamorous,” appeared in two episodes of “Fuller House” Season 4 as Casey, the franchise’s first openly queer character. Miss Benny recently posted a TikTok that heavily implied Bure was homophobic behind the scenes of “Fuller House.”
One of Miss Benny’s followers asked the star on TikTok, “Fuller house? Who was homophobic was it Candace?” Miss Benny responded in a TikTok that included #candacecure in the video description but did not verbally call her out by name. The actor said “one of the Tanner sisters” was “very publicly not for the girls,” which for many viewers meant either Bure (who played D.J. Tanner-Fuller...

In a TikTok video posted on Thursday, Glamorous star Miss Benny alleged that Fuller House co-star Candace Cameron Bure tried to have their character Casey — who was gay and served as Ramona’s (Soni Bringas) platonic prom date in Season 4 Episode 12 — written out of the Netflix sitcom.
Bure, who starred in all five seasons of Fuller House as DJ Tanner, however has denied Miss Benny’s accusation.

It appears Netflix’s “Glamorous” star, Miss Benny, is not too fond of how things folded out on set between her and one of her fellow “Fuller House” co-stars.
In a new TikTok, the actress, who played “the first gay character in the ‘Full House’ franchise, responded to a fan question wondering who was homophobic on set. In her video response, Benny claims “one of the Tanner sisters” — referring to Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner) and Candace Cameron Bure (D.J. Tanner), who were two of the three Tanner girls that reprised their roles for the “Full House” reboot — not only tried to get her character axed, but also never spoke to her for the entire duration of her time on set.

A house divided. A source tells Et that Candace Cameron Bure and Jodie Sweetin, who played sisters DJ and Stephanie Tanner on “Full House” and “Fuller House”, are in a “pretty serious” disagreement following the controversial remarks Bure made to WSJ. Magazine.
After announcing her departure from the Hallmark Channel, 46-year-old Bure explained in the publication that she was moving to the Great American Family network, which has no plans to feature same-sex couples in their movies, and instead wants to tell stories that “will keep traditional marriage at the core.”
Like several other celebrities who spoke out after Bure’s comments, a source tells Et that 40-year-old Sweetin “is progressive in her beliefs and Candace is very religious in hers.”
“They have different views and opinions on various important topics,” the source notes, adding that what Bure told WSJ. Magazine “held a lot of weight.”

Jodie Sweetin still has hope for another “Full House” reboot.
It appears the actress doesn’t want to say goodbye to her classic TV character, Stephanie Tanner, just yet as she recently shared an idea for a “Fuller House” reboot, despite the beloved comedy only having ended two years ago.
The 2016 sequel series saw Sweetin and her fellow co-stars from the original sitcom “Full House”, which ran from 1987 to 1995, reunite for the reboot where she reprised her role as the Tanner Family’s middle daughter.

Netflix’s Fuller House has been acquired by Gac Family in a rare syndication deal for a streaming series. But how exactly does the fledgling cable network intend to deal with episodes that are, well… fuller?
Whereas episodes of predecessor Full House — which also airs on Gac Family — ran anywhere from 21-24 minutes, the Netflix revival rarely had episodes clock in under 27 minutes, with some (such as the 2016 pilot) running as long as 36 minutes.

Gac Media has announced that Gac Family (formerly Great American Country) is the new linear home of Fuller House after an agreement with Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution. All 75 episodes will begin airing on the network beginning Monday, February 28. This is the first time the series will be available to viewers on cable TV. Full House began airing on Gac Family earlier this month. Fuller House premiered on Netflix in 2016 and five seasons were released. It followed Danny Tanner’s now-adult daughters, veterinarian D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Cameron Candace Bure) and aspiring musician Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin), along with D.J.’s best friend Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber) and their families. Selena and Gracie—playing the older and younger siblings respectively—argued over who was better. They shot back lines with each other over who was older or younger, and taller or shorter. It looks like John Stamos got to keep a pretty special part of the Full House set. The 56-year-old actor took to Instagram on Tuesday and revealed he has the famous family couch. The Uncle Jesse star even showed how the piece of furniture was guarding his 1-year-old son Billy from going down the stairs. "Baby safety gate or one of the most iconic couches in pop TV history?" Stamos wrote. "You, make the call." However, not everybody knew he owned the piece. "Whaaaaatttt?!" Jodie Sweetin (a.k.a. Stephanie Tanner) wrote in the comments section. "Thief!" added Kimmy Gibbler actress Andrea Barber. "You got it?! Not Bob?"...

Fuller House might be ending with season five, but it seems like the show's last installment will be all about beginnings. In the new trailer for the final season, things pick up where they left off with Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) and Jimmy Gibbler (Adam Hagenbuch) welcoming a daughter via a surrogate, Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber). Not only are Stephanie and Jimmy stepping into their new roles as parents, but they're also preparing to wed!
Meanwhile, D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron Bure) and Steve Hale (Scott Weinger) will continue to explore their relationship, which might also include wedding bells. As for Kimmy and her on-again, off-again beau, Fernando Guerrero (Juan Pablo Di Pace), well, they're still on-again, off-again. But through it all, the Fuller House squad - including Danny (Bob Saget), Uncle Jesse (John Stamos), and Joey (Dave Coulier) - will be there to help everyone navigate the ups and downs of life,...

Saying goodbye to Fuller House is not going to be easy.
Netflix on Friday dropped the trailer for the final season, and it shows the type of pivotal moments you would expect from a show gearing up for its swansong.
There's Stephanie and Jimmy bringing their newborn home from the hospital, D.J. and Steve questioning whether it's time to get married, and lots of other goodies for fans.
Now, you may be questioning just how big that beautiful house is, and thankfully, the show is addressing that.
“There’s gonna be a lot of people in this house,” Ramona says during the two-minute clip.
“You know, legally, if three more people move in, we have to register as a commune.”
Okay then.
What we do know is that the show is bringing back Bob Saget as Danny Tanner, John Stamos as Jesse Katsopolis, and Dave Coulier as Joey Gladstone as guest stars.

It's the end of the line for Fuller House.
The popular comedy series has been renewed for a fifth and final season at Netflix.
The show's future has been uncertain for several months now, with some outlets reporting that the series was canceled after its fourth season.
It's difficult for your favorite show to come to a close, but at least the fans can rest assured that there will be one more season to tie up all the loose ends.
Netflix confirmed the news via a teaser that showed some of the biggest moments from the series, before showing all of the cast in the final frames promising they have "saved the best for last."
