Ever since they first started dating, Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher have been considered one of Hollywood’s most mysterious and unexpected pairs. While their acting skills are widely recognized, their timing in making a significant personal announcement last week may have left some people scratching their heads.
The couple revealed on their respective Instagram accounts that they had filed for divorce in 2023. This occurred a few days after Rebel Wilson made clear in her new memoir, Rebel Rising, that she had experienced s*xual harassment and lewd demands from Cohen during their collaboration on the 2016 comedy flick, The Brothers Grimsby.

According to a close source to the estranged couple, Wilson’s allegations are in no way connected with Cohen and Fisher’s split.

When the character Riri Williams (played by Dominique Thorne) made her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut back in 2022’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the idea was that we’d be seeing the character again the following year in her own Disney+ show Ironheart… but 2023 came and went without Ironheart, and the show still doesn’t have an official premiere date. This has caused some fans to speculate that Marvel and Disney+ might have decided to scrap Ironheart, along with the series Wonder Man, which had Yahya Abdul-Mateen II taking on the role of the title character, who is also known as Simon Williams and hasn’t been seen in the MCU yet. But no, Ironheart and Wonder Man are not being scrapped, and in a new interview with Agents of Fandom, Marvel Studios’ Head of Streaming, Television, and Animation Brad Winderbaum described the shows as spectacular, amazing, and different.

Marvel Studios has a slew of projects in the pipeline, and while fans eagerly await updates on ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ and ‘The Fantastic Four’ reboot, one project that has been generating buzz for years is ‘Ironheart.’ Despite years of anticipation, the series has faced delays in development and release.
In July 2018, a film based on the Marvel Comics character Riri Williams/Ironheart had a script by Jada Rodriguez and was listed on The Black List. However, the film never materialized. In December 2020, Marvel Studios announced the development of a Disney+ television series titled ‘Ironheart,’ with Chinaka Hodge appointed as the head writer in April 2021. In March 2022, it was disclosed that Ryan Coogler, the director of ‘Black Panther,’ was involved in the production, and Dominique Thorne, Ironheart’s star, makes her first appearance in ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.’ Coogler’s Proximity Media is collaborating with Marvel Studios on select Disney+ series,...

Exclusive: Rashida “Sheedz” Olayiwola, one of the stars of Disney+’s forthcoming Marvel miniseries Ironheart, has signed with Independent Artist Group for representation.
While details as to Olayiwola’s role are under wraps, she’s part of an ensemble led by Dominique Thorne, which also includes Anthony Ramos, Shakira Barrera, Alden Ehrenreich and more. The six-episode series created by Chinaka Hodge sees Thorne reprise her Black Panther: Wakanda Forever role of Riri Williams, a genius inventor out of MIT who has created the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man’s.
An actress, writer and comedian, Olayiwola is best known for her role as Bailiff Nikki in Amazon Freevee’s singular comedy series Jury Duty from creators Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, which went viral earlier this year and garnered three Emmy nominations including Outstanding Comedy Series. There has been a lot of fan speculation about Marvel Comics’ extra-dimensional demon character Mephisto showing up in a Marvel Cinematic Universe project. Many fans were sure Mephisto’s demonic mug was going to show up in WandaVision at some point… but that didn’t happen, so fans started wondering if he’ll be in the WandaVision spin-off Agatha: Coven of Chaos. It remains to be seen if that’s going to happen, but it sounds like we will see Mephisto in the Ironheart series. And it’s RUMORed that while we’ll primarily be seeing Mephisto in human form, there will be “glimpses” of his true demonic form.
Insider @CanWeGetToast claims (as reported by SuperHeroHype), “Mephisto will mostly be seen in his human form in Ironheart, while only giving Glimpses of his true form. Mephisto has The Hood stealing tech for him to build an advanced Bio-Suit in Ironheart.

Ryan Coogler could be exploring extraterrestrials in a possible reboot of “The X-Files.”
“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” writer-director Coogler and his Proximity banner are teased to be helming an updated reimagining of the Fox series that aired from 1993 to 2002. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson starred, with the franchise spurring two movies and two continuation seasons between 2016 and 2018 whose quality was controversial among fans.
Original “X-Files” series creator Chris Carter said during the “On the Coast” podcast that the rumored upcoming project will be a “remount” for the legacy series.
“I just spoke to a young man, Ryan Coogler, who is going to remount ‘The X-Files’ with a diverse cast,” Carter shared. “So he’s got his work cut out for him, because we covered so much territory.”

It might seem like only yesterday we were listening to Tems’ rendition of “No Woman, No Cry,” but just two months after Black Panther: Wakanda Forever roared its way to the top of the box office, Ryan Coogler’s superhero showstopper has landed on Disney+. As well as securing Letitia Wright’s Shuri as the new Black Panther, we had an Oscar-worthy turn from Angela Bassett and the introduction of Tenoch Huerta as Namor (dropping the Sub-Mariner suffix).
Doing what the MCU does best, it also queued a ton of potential projects. Alongside another war with the Talokan people in the mythical Black Panther 3, there was the tease of Phase 5’s Thunderbolts and a possible Midnight Angels spin-off. One arc (reactor) we know is directly tied to Wakanda Forever is Chinaka Hodge’s Ironheart. However, is the technological whizz-kid also setting up the return of the original MCU foe?

Of all the shows Mike Flanagan and his production company Intrepid Pictures made for Netflix – The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, Midnight Mass, The Midnight Club, and the upcoming The Fall of the House of the Usher – the Christopher Pike-inspired The Midnight Club was the only one that was designed to be an ongoing series. The finale left the story wide open to continue… so of course Netflix went ahead and cancelled it. But Flanagan had said that if the show wasn’t renewed, he would go online and spill all of the details on what they had planned for season 2. True to his word, Flanagan took to Tumblr to reveal the Midnight Club season 2 plans soon after Netflix confirmed the show is over.

Veteran Canadian-American voice actress Cree Summer has joined the cast of Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ series Ironheart, sources tell Deadline. A rep for Marvel declined comment.
As Deadline reported earlier this month, Sacha Baron Cohen also has been tipped for a role in the series. Since our story ran, there has been further proof that Baron Cohen has joined the MCU, something Marvel and his reps have refused to comment on. I hear he may appear later in Ironheart’s run, with Episodes 5-6 considered likely. In addition to in-person scenes, rumor is that there have been scans for CGI effects, which would indicate a superhero alter ego for Baron Cohen’s character. He is believed to be playing a comic book villain, probably Mephisto.

Speculation has been growing that Sacha Baron Cohen has entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe with a role in Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ series Ironheart as a comic book villain.

Wa wa wee wa! Reports have come in that Sacha Baron Cohen will be playing Mephisto in Disney+’s upcoming Ironheart series. While this has yet to be confirmed, sources are confident that the actor will be portraying the Marvel character on the MCU show.

Plot: At a hospice with a mysterious history, the eight members of the Midnight Club meet each night at midnight to tell sinister stories – and to look for signs of the supernatural from the beyond.
Review: It probably goes without saying that at this point, people are going to watch The Midnight Club simply because Mike Flanagan’s name is attached to it. After the acclaim for The Haunting of Hill House, Flanagan’s The Haunting of Bly Manor was met with a slightly less enthusiastic welcome. But, Flanagan’s Midnight Mass was a masterpiece of storytelling. If the pattern holds, The Midnight Club would be a weaker entry into the horror maestro’s oeuvre of shows. Luckily, I am glad to say that the series has broken expectations. The Midnight Club is nothing like any of Flanagan’s previous films or series but impresses nonetheless by combining an original...

Disney's D23 Expo is happening this weekend for the first time in three years and the Mouse House made sure to bring the goods. During the massive studio presentation today, Marvel Studios laid out much of what's to come in Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and beyond. That includes a first look at the long-awaited "Ironheart" series for Disney+, which will bring Riri Williams to the fold for a solo adventure. Dominique Thorne will make her debut in "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" later this year. But let's not get too ahead of ourselves.
Our very own Ethan Anderton is on hand at D23 on the ground to bring us all the juicy details that Marvel is keeping under lock and key for the time being. And they offered a first taste of what we're in for with the show, and it will see magic going up against technology for...

Paul Rudd said that Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is going to be different than his previous two Ant-Man films.
“This thing is bananas. And it seems like a bit of an oxymoron that something so small — we’re the small heroes — could do something so huge,” said Rudd during Marvel’s D23 presentation Saturday. “This is going to be unlike anything you’ve seen from us.”
Rudd also gave credit to Jonathan Majors, the Marvel newcomer who first appeared in Loki as He Who Remains and plays the classic villain Kang in Quantumania.
“He’s incredible, and it throws this whole thing into such new territory,” said Rudd of Majors, whose Kang is set to be a major force in the MCU, if the title to 2025’s Avengers: Kang Dynasty is any indication.

Dominique Thorne stars as the new hero in the Disney+ series, which follows a genius, 15-year-old MIT student — taught by a character played by Jim Rash — who creates a suit of armor inspired by Iron Man. “What I’m doing. It’s important. It’s iconic,” Thorne’s Riri said in the first look footage.

“One of the big things we assumed was that the younger viewers could handle scares,” Flanagan tells Empire, indicating that the terror of his latest series hasn’t been toned down for a younger audience. He says of Pike’s work in general, “He wrote some pretty advanced stuff for his younger readers, and it was not at all uncommon for his teenage characters to die, pretty shockingly. His books were full of things I found really exciting and thrilling and dark.”
“So I became a bit of an addict,” Flanagan adds.

Marvel Studios’ “Ironheart” has found its directors.
Sam Bailey (“Dear White People”) and Angela Barnes (“Blindspotting”) will divide directing duties for the Disney Plus series — which will be produced by Proximity, the production company co-founded by “Black Panther” filmmaker Ryan Coogler.
The series follows Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne), who invents a suit of armor similar to Tony Stark’s Iron Man suit. Not much more is known about the series’ storyline, but Thorne is set to debut as Williams first in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” which is scheduled to debut in November.
Williams will be joined by Anthony Ramos (“In the Heights”) and Lyric Ross (“This Is Us”) on the series, which was created by head writer Chinaka Hodge (“Snowpiercer”).
