Fort Ticonderoga has been captured by the British as Starz’s Outlander season seven episode six, “Where the Waters Meet,” begins. After being delayed, Lt. William Ransom (Charles Vandervaart) finally arrives at the fort and reports in to General Simon Fraser (Angus MacFadyen). General Burgoyne ordered him to report to the forward command.
Fraser notes that not a single shot was fired and that the Continental Army fled, leaving behind supplies including their cannons. However, William’s in time for the next battle as they’ve been ordered to pursue the rebels south. Fraser explains their plans, and William deduces the British are going to isolate New England from the other colonies.

Amazon Prime Video launched the latest chapter in its global expansion Thursday night in Nigeria with the flashy premiere of its first African Original, “Gangs of Lagos,” a gritty crime thriller from celebrated multi-hyphenate Jade Osiberu.
At a packed house on Lagos’ ritzy Victoria Island, luminaries from the Nigerian film and fashion industries turned out to toast a movie that electrified the boisterous homegrown crowd ahead of its global release.
“I’m overwhelmed,” said Osiberu after a rousing ovation. “It’s a dream come true.”
“Gangs of Lagos,” which drops globally on Prime Video on Friday, is the first film to come out of the streamer’s three-year overall deal with Osiberu, the creator of domestic box-office sensations “Sugar Rush” and “Isoken” — one of a host of recent pacts with Nigerian creators from the U.S. tech giant as it tries to outflank Netflix in Africa’s biggest market.

BBC and PBS drama Death in Paradise has returned to filming on the French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe.
The series, which is filming its tenth season, was set to start shooting in April but was delayed by the Covid-19 production shutdown.
Its return means that it is one of the first British dramas to start filming since lockdown.
Production company Red Planet Pictures has worked closely with industry bodies and the BBC to develop a detailed Covid-19 protocol policy, implementing various safety measures including social distancing, face coverings and temperature and Covid-19 testing to minimise any risk of infection
There is also a full-time Covid-19 supervisor on set to make sure the protocols are being implemented correctly and the latest guidance is incorporated into the policy.
Stars Ralf Little, who plays D.I. Neville Parker, Don Warrington, who plays Commissioner Selwyn Patterson, Tobi Bakare as D.S. Jp Hooper, Elizabeth Bourgine...

Death in Paradise returns for its fourth series later this week on BBC One, to help bring us all some much-needed sunshine in gloomy January.
Kris Marshall succeeded in taking over Ben Miller in the show's leading role last year, with the third series climbing to even bigger ratings than ever before.
Digital Spy sat down with the former My Family actor about the show's continued success and what to look forward to in series four.
You must be pleased that Death in Paradise continues to be really popular?
"Yeah, more so even. I was absolutely humbled by how brilliantly it went. I couldn't have wished for it to go better. The last thing I wanted to do was take an 8 million viewer show and turn it into a 4m viewer show. That wouldn't have looked particularly good on my CV. I was really happy.
Was it quite daunting kind...

The hit Scandinavian dramatic series The Bridge has been remade, yet again. But unlike the U.S. version, which is set on the U.S.-Mexico border, this U.K. version is set on the Britain-France border inside the Euro Tunnel. The Bridge centered on the discovery of a murdered corpse on a bridge that connects Sweden and Denmark; the kicker is that half of the body lay in one country, and the other half in the other. In this British remake, Stephen Dillane and Clemence Poesy star as Karl and Elise, the two detectives, from Britain and France respectively, who are charged with investigating the crime together. Angel Coulby (Merlin) co-stars as the wife of character Karl. Tobi Bakare...

Harry, He’s Here To Help and Lemming director Dominik Moll has come aboard to helm the The Tunnel, the Franco-British adaptation of Scandinavian series The Bridge. Shooting starts this month on the Sky Atlantic/Canal Plus co-production from Kudos Film and TV and Shine France Films in association with Filmlance. As I reported last week, the 10-part drama stars Harry Potter actress Clémence Poésy and Game Of Thrones‘ Stephen Dillane as detectives investigating the death of a French politician who are forced into an uneasy partnership as they seek out a politically-motivated serial killer. Also joining the cast are Game Of Thrones‘ Joseph Mawle, Da Vinci’s Demons‘ Tom Bateman, Dancing On The Edge and Merlin‘s Angel Coulby, Silent Witness‘ Tobi Bakare, French actors Jeanne Balibar, Thibault de Montalembert and Mathieu Carrièrre and British actor Jack Lowden. The second episode will also feature Upstairs Downstairs‘ Keeley Hawes and veteran British actress Liz Smith.

In 2003, with just a few hundred pounds, actor Femi Oguns set up Britain's first 'black' drama school. It's now a powerhouse in the promotion of black talent to the entertainment industry here and abroad
Sandwiched between a hipster pub and an empty shop front, you are likely to hear the Identity drama school in east London before you see it. As I loiter outside, the passing traffic is punctuated with the hubbub of student recitals, which filter down from the window above. It may not compete with Rada's lavish Bloomsbury setting or Lamda's 150-year-old history, but what goes on behind these walls serves an arguably more vital and immediate purpose than any of the country's more established drama schools.
Inside, a class of students line up, their backs pushed up against the walls of the studio, the room already thick with the warmth and odour of hard work. "In," bellows...
