Good morning!
The Arrested Development documentary makers are seeking some finishing funds. I'm sure this will happen in no time.
Annie Clark, Cristine Prosperi and Degrassi producers Linda Schuyler and Stephen Stohn talked with EW and there are a lot of great tidbits about how Fiona wasn't intended to be a lesbian character but evolved into one, and the future of her relationship with Imogen. It's a must-read for Fimogen fans!
Jane Lynch went on Gwissues this week to talk about some upcoming roles. There's never enough of the Lynch.
Author Willa Cather's personal letters are about to be published and it sounds like lesbian rumors might be true. It also appears she was born on the same day as me, so clearly she must be gay. That's how it works.
Out comic artist Nicole Georges wrote about her teenage obsession with Kurt Cobain for NPR.

Good morning! Thanks to Heather Hogan for taking over the Brew yesterday while I was out.
Mma fighter Cassie Robb says she is an out lesbian, just like fellow fighter Liz Carmouche, and she'll be rooting for Liz in her upcoming match.
That is a big deal to me because I myself am a lesbian and I know quite a few other Mma fighters who are as well. I don't think people look any differently at lesbian fighters. We are there to fight.. Period! It's not about your personal beliefs or what anyone thinks of them. You are in there to prove that you are the best fighter, regardless of sexual orientation. We are in there to prove to not only everyone else but to ourselves the heart, determination, and hard work it takes to get in there and do what we do.

Good morning!
Out singer Sophie B. Hawkins is playing Janis Joplin in a new musical about her called Room 105: The Highs and Lows of Janice Joplin. Sophie's partner Gigi Gaston wrote the production, which is playing in Los Angeles all October. Apparently Janis' one-time girlfriend Peggy Caserta is coming to the show.
Lacey Turner told The Sun about how she wants her lesbian role in Switch to be believable.
It was really important to me to believe that Stella really is a lesbian. I didn’t want her to look like someone who is pretending to be gay. I’m not that way inclined and I’ve never felt the urge to kiss a girl so I did think about it and wonder what the scenes would be like. But...

Good morning!
During an interview with Perez Hilton, 50 Cent discussed his late mom's sexuality.
My mom was a lesbian. Yeah, she liked women. My whole childhood was like that. It's two different things, too — from a female perspective, when you see two females together, you think, "oh, they're just girlfriends, they're close." But, with my mom, the male was missing. So, when you're that small, that's all you interpret it as you don't see anything that would indicate that there's other things going on. But later, my grandmother — she told me that kiss was a little different from all the other kisses you saw.
I don't really know what he means with "the male was missing," but I am hoping 50 is coming to terms with this more. In the past, he's...

Last year we compiled a list of horror films with lesbian or bisexual characters. This year, we thought we'd highlight out actresses who have appeared in some Halloween-worthy watching. From the classic to the contemporary, we've been in some of the best (and worst) scary movies.
Here are 11 movies you can find for your viewing (dis)pleasure this holiday.
Amanda Bearse in Fright Night
The actress played a teen named Amy Peterson in the 1985 original. She gets turned into a vampire, but is able to turn back into herself after the cure is discovered. Amanda came out eight years later — as a lesbian, not a vampire.
Portia de Rossi in Scream 2
Portia played a bitchy sorority sister in the 1997 sequel to the very successful Scream. She doesn't last too long, but she steals the scenes she's in with some sassy insults.
Sara Gilbert and Drew Barrymore in Poison Ivy...

Happy 2010! Did you miss us?
I have to share this awesome tidbit with you, because AfterEllen.com reader Jerry shared it with me. Slasher film actress Tucky Williams (Dead Moon Rising, Shadows Light) is writing and starring in a new lesbian web series, Girl/Girl Scene.
Tucky as Evan — the new Shane?
The actress (who says she loves Tegan and Sara) said of the series: "Once The L Word was canceled, it left this huge hole in the market. We're filling that need, and them some. Girl/Girl Scene is raunchier, grittier, and sexier. I wanted to see a show that depicted what life was like for me and my friends — queers who have thrown heteronormativity out the window and never looked back." Wait, you mean this isn't The Real L Word?
Here's a fun puzzle for L Word and Queer as Folk fans, courtesy of PuzzleHub. I don't see Papi on there,...

“Shadows Light” (2008) Ever After Media A Stephen Zimmer Film Starring Tom Phillips, Tucky Williams, Cynthia Allen, Jessica Kline Score: Technical: 20, Story: 10, Acting: 10, Overall Score: 13.3 If there’s one thing I’m really truly sick of in horror movies, beyond anything, beyond even the cheap “Saw” rip-offs and pointless torture-porn style of Eli Roth wannabes, it’s the cliché of the evil lesbian. She’s evil and pansexual so obviously she’s going to end up being not only evil but also inhuman in some form, and to be honest, it’s a stupid idea. Maybe 20 or 30 years ago the concept was titillating enough but nowadays it just screams of borderline desperate and a little bit homophobic and misogynistic to me. Unfortunately, [...]...
