Days Gone was an ambitious zombie horror survival game from Bend Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was initially released as a PlayStation exclusive until it got ported to PC. The scope and scale of the game were quite large by today’s standards, and director John Garvin’s work speaks for itself.
As part of the PlayStation Studios banner, other creatives from different studios can pitch in for an assist, but Garvin clarified that every narrative decision was made by him and him alone.
Days Gone Director Claims He Wrote the Entire Script Alone
Studio Bend had plans for a Days Gone sequel, but it was canceled by Sony in favor of a brand-new IP with a live-service structure.
John Garvin is back at it again, as he expressed his massive disappointment with how his game turned out to be and hinted at how he believed Sony viewed Days Gone in general.

Presenting two real-life stories from my days of yore, although names have been changed to protect both the innocent and the guilty.
Story The First:
I knew a girl in high school – I wouldn’t say we were friends, but she was someone who had never participated in the Piggy horrors. Sally was an A+ student, on the track to an Ivy League school. Pretty (but not gorgeous) and popular (but quiet about it), she came to me one day and said that she needed to talk to me privately. I was surprised… and a bit suspicious. What did she want? But because Sally had never been overtly mean to me, even though she was part of the clique that instigated most of the callous cruelties upon me, and because I still hoped to be “accepted,” and I wanted to believe for some reason she was about to warn me...

On August 2, Netflix announced a massive slate of original anime programs, all of which it plans to premiere for its subscribers over the coming years. The lineup includes a majority of shows led by notable Japanese animators, but the project that caught our eye here at Tubefilter comes from an American creator. Cannon Busters, from creator LeSean Thomas, will tell the story of an AI who seeks the aid of a wanted man, and its writing team includes Natasha Allegri, who is known as the woman behind the hit web series Bee & PuppyCat.
The protagonist of Cannon Busters is S.A.M., who a Netflix press release describes as a "high-end, royal-class friendship droid." With the help of a maintenance robot and a fugitive, S.A.M. will search for a long-lost friend. In 2014, Thomas raised more than $150,000 on Kickstarter to fund a pilot for his series, which he released for backers in 2016. Now,...

Netflix is going all in on anime as they add the eagerly anticipated Godzilla movie and 12 other projects to their slate of upcoming programming. Deadline says in addition to the series the network is also overseeing the development of Cannon Busters, Devilman Crybaby, B: The Beginning, and Knights Of The Zodiac: Saint Seiya just to name a few.
The Godzilla and Saint Seiya grabs really show that Netflix is working to grab their Western audience who loves anime, but with competitors like Crunchyroll and Funimation (who was recently bought by Sony) in the mix, who knows if they'll be able to compete on that front. Time will tell, but the addition of so many projects seems promising for the future of anime on the platform.
Below you'll find details photos and some trailer for the anime projects that Netflix has picked up!

Have you ever wondered what could have been? What if Key West seceded from the mainland? If the state of Wyoming ended up in the middle of Pennsylvania? If freed slaves were given the state of Mississippi after the Civil War? Perhaps you would like a Brief Explanation as to how Budapest became the Taco Capital of the World? Or, if you prefer, there is one story that is a fight to the death between the governor of North Alaska, Sarah Palin, and the billionaire orange haired governor of South Alaska…
You can wonder all of these no longer with ‘Altered States of the Union: What America Could Be’; An American alternate history anthology (say that five times fast) that features a varied and fantastic line up of first time authors, New York Times best selling authors, and Hugo and Nebula award winning authors, coming all together with their own...

One of the best parts of Comic Con International was getting to talk to so many women working in the comics industry. Anne Toole was one of those women geek girls like us can aspire to. She not only is an Emmy-winning writer of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, but she also writes video games (who knew that was a thing?!) and has a new monthly comic series coming out from Lion Forge/Roar this October called Crystal Cadets (Art & covers by Katie O’Neill Colors by Paulina Ganucheau) which we are all over!
C’mon! Middle school girls with magical shiny crystals fighting dark mystical forces, how could we not be giddy over it?...
