Omni-Man is similar to Superman in many ways, with both being alien entities who have escaped their home worlds to be on Earth and have superhuman abilities. Despite the similarities, fans seem to disagree with Robert Kirkman about Omni-Man winning the hypothetical battle.

Is it time to play Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles” for White Chicks 2? What Marlon and Shawn Wayans have said about the possibility of filming a sequel to the 2004 comedy turned early-aughts classic. Plus, who among their co-stars is eager for a White Chicks 2, and where the future of the Wayans brothers’ comedy stands today.
A ‘White Chicks 2’ sequel isn’t officially in the works
Sorry, White Chicks fans. The story of brothers Marcus (Marlon Wayans) and Kevin Copeland (Shawn Wayans) memorably going undercover as white women to investigate socialites’ kidnappings isn’t continuing. At least, not right now.
Marlon and Shawn, who wrote and starred in the film together along with their brother, Keenen Ivory Wayans as co-writer and director, have both discussed the possibility of a sequel over the years. However, today, one isn’t in development or production at Sony, the movie studio that owns the rights to the original.

Night Court may have made an impact during its original run, but the revival series on NBC is making a star of Lacretta, who plays bold bailiff Gurgs in the half-hour comedy. Below, we break down why we can’t get enough of Lacretta and Gurgs each week. Plus, catch a first look at what’s next for the bailiff in the exclusive sneak peek clip, above. She Plays… Bighearted but wired bailiff Donna “Gurgs” Gurganous in the reimagining of Manhattan’s kookiest night court, where she works alongside presiding judge Abby Stone (Melissa Rauch), optimistic offspring of Judge Harry Stone (the late Harry Anderson) from the original 1984–92 comedy. It’s a great time to love vintage TV. Not only can you stream almost every show, but a lot of the great shows are back with their original casts. Fuller House sort of started the ball rolling with other ‘80s and ‘90s TV sitcoms looking for a revival.

While fans of any show would consider their revival the best, Showbiz Cheat Sheet tried to take a more objective view. Here are the five best sitcom revivals, with an honorable mention for Night Court because it only has one original cast member but still follows the format successfully.

The Harry Potter franchise is still thriving even years after the original series has ended. It wasn’t too long ago that the Harry Potter prequel film Fantastic Beasts hit theaters. The franchise is now also fresh in the minds of fans thanks to the new videogame Hogwarts: Legacy. In an interview with IGN, Radcliffe felt a reboot was only a matter of time.
“I’m sure there will be some other version of it; I know I’m not the last Harry Potter I’m gonna see in my lifetime – we’ve already got a few more,” he said.

Night Court: John Larroquette as Dan Fielding — (Photo by: Jordin Althaus/NBC/Warner Bros.) On the revived version of Night Court, there’s continuity with the original show on two fronts: one, John Larroquette has returned to the show as Dan Fielding, and two, Melissa Rauch’s character is the daughter of Harry Stone, the judge from the original series. Harry Stone, of course, was played brilliantly by the late Harry Anderson. Larroquette has plenty of fond memories from working on the first “Night Court,” and he told us that many of them involved Anderson. Night Court-Pictured: John Larroquette as Dan Fielding — (Photo by: Jordin Althaus/NBC) When the revival of Night Court reintroduced the character of Dan Fielding, he was a much different man than when we last saw him on the original show. Older, humbled, and even somewhat broken, the “new” Fielding switched from prosecutor to defense attorney and now serves as an elder statesman of sorts around a cast of much younger characters. John Larroquette, who reprises the role in the revival, told us that showing how the character had changed over time was an important part of his decision to join the show. Despite a bit of a rocky start, the Night Court revival has been renewed for a second season. Now that we have settled into the series, which looks different from the original, we are remembering what made the original so appealing. Part of the show’s appeal is baked into the setting. Night Court is set in a late-night courtroom that hears cases from New York City’s most intriguing residents. What makes the environment particularly interesting is that it exists. The evening court proceedings are based on a real court that operates in New York City.

While most of New York City’s criminal cases are heard during the day, in a city as large as New York, special accommodations must be made to ensure a speedy trial for those arrested within the city’s jurisdiction. That means the court doesn...

Night Court -Pictured: (l-r) Kapil Talwalkar as Neil, Melissa Rauch as Abby Stone, India de Beaufort as Olivia, John Larroquette as Dan Fielding — (Photo by: Jordin Althaus/NBC/Warner Bros. Melissa Rauch, who both stars on and produces the show, particularly loves the courtroom set, especially since it’s the place where it’s most likely the entire cast will be doing scenes together. John Larroquette as Dan Fielding — (Photo by: Jordin Althaus/NBC/Warner Bros. Television) On the new revival of Night Court, John Larroquette stars as an older, wiser version of the character he played on the original show, Dan Fielding. And some of the sets, like the courtroom and judge’s chambers, have been lovingly recreated to match the original show. But, aside from that, it’s an entirely different experience for Larroquette, since he’s no longer working with any of the other cast and crew from the original show. That means he’s had to establish new working relationships with a whole new group of people — most importantly, his new co-stars. Fortunately, though, Larroquette says the process has been painless, and he feels like they’ve quickly developed good chemistry as a cast. Night Court — Pictured: Melissa Rauch as Abby Stone — (Photo by: Jordin Althaus/NBC) Although the original Night Court is now rightly seen as a classic comedy, it went through some early struggles. After its first season, two of the show’s original stars were replaced, and its third season brought about two additional changes to the show’s regular cast. Melissa Rauch, who is the star — and also a producer — of the new Night Court revival, told us she doesn’t think that will be an issue with this version of the show, because she feels like the new Night Court’s ensemble gelled from the very start. Night Court — Pictured: John Larroquette as Dan Fielding — (Photo by: Jordin Althaus/NBC/Warner Bros. He was there for all nine seasons of the show’s original run, and he’s back on the new version in a new capacity — instead of being a prosecutor, Fielding is now a public defender. Of course, he’s now surrounded by a new cast of characters, led by The Big Bang Theory’s Melissa Rauch, who spearheaded (and produces) the show’s revival, and he’s enjoying that. But he told us it’s also a bittersweet experience, since he’s lost three of his original co-stars among them — Harry Anderson, Markie Post, and Charles Robinson — within the last five years. Strand (Ronen Rubinstein) in checking on the driver of the car. “Something darted in front of my car. I think it was a deer. Did I hit it?” she asks. Her legs are pinned, and Tommy’s concerned about a possible broken neck. And then the woman starts sneezing — she has hay fever.

Captain Owen Strand (Rob Lowe) can’t sit on the sidelines during a call in the March 28 episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star, and TV Insider has an exclusive sneak peek. In “Negative Space,” the 126 arrives on the scene of a fire at the Cullen + Bailey Art Gallery, and the 122 is already there. “Whole place went up like a damn tinderbox,” Captain Andrews (Bo Kane) tells Owen. “My guys saw drums of acetone stored inside. That’s probably where it started.” Has the building been evacuated? According to the owner, no one’s inside and the gallery’s closed. However, there’s something only a couple people know. Jordin Althaus/Fox Owen turns to Marjan Marwani (Natacha Karam) to make a call before turning to Andrews to explain, “There’s a studio space in the back. A woman’s been living in it. Have you checked there?” No one’s made it back that far,...

(Warning: This post contains spoilers for Thursday’s series finale of “Superstore.”)
After six years on NBC, “Superstore” closed for good on Thursday with an hourlong finale that saw the return of America Ferrera and the end of Cloud 9, an episode that sent the main cast off in new directions and laid the groundwork for a potential spinoff.
“You’re trying to do something different and tie up loose ends and give the characters nice landing place to reassure the audience that these relationships will continue,” showrunner Gabe Miller said of planning the final ending for the comedy. “We looked back on everything from classics like ‘Cheers’ to– Jonathan and [“Superstore” creator] Justin Spitzer and I worked on ‘The Office’ together.”
“We had the experience of working on that finale and seeing how Greg Daniels worked,” said Miller’s co-showunner Jonathan Green. “We got an inside look at the...

Fresh off the Boat has an uphill battle ahead of it, and not just because it’s a slow-moving comedy without the benefit of many familiar faces.
I’d hope for something with a bit more “quick start” potential for Randall Park, because he’s a talented guy, and while this could eventually win people over, it may not get the chance.
Though based on a real memoir, the show is unfortunately “Asian Goldbergs” in its delivery, which features the same character narration and ode to a previous decade motif. It also blends in equal parts, “herds of white people are funny because…,” and, “growing up Asian amid the herd is difficult because…,” humor which frequently makes the show feel like translated stand-up instead of a purposeful telling of a (by all accounts) hilarious and insightful memoir.
It isn’t that the show is bad, but it takes quite a while to get moving.
