The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live’s series finale brought many things full circle.
Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne’s (Danai Gurira) journey has been filled with significant developments. Still, nothing could prepare them for the Echelon Briefing and what General Beale (Terry O’Quinn) and his army had planned for the rest of the world.
Knowing they needed to save everyone, Rick and Michonne embarked on a devastating mission to take down Beale’s army and protect other communities.
That meant the good guys won this final battle but is happiness on the horizon?
Monsters and Critics got to chat with Lesley-Ann Brandt and Terry O’Quinn about the big conclusion.
Monsters and Critics: Starting with Lesley-Ann, could you both discuss your reaction when you heard how the show would end?
Lesley-Ann Brandt: I loved it. I thought it gave the fans a good conclusion. I’m sure some people would say,...

Ever since Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) left The Walking Dead in 2018, there was a promise that his story would get the ending it deserves.
What was initially supposed to be a movie trilogy turned into The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live — a six-episode limited series.
Although there have been questions about whether any storylines would be left open at the end of the finale, the episode gave Rick and his soon-to-be wife, Michonne (Danai Gurira), a relatively happy ending.
When we picked up on the final episode, Rick arrived at the Crm to reveal that he had survived his fall from the helicopter and was back because he was ready for the next phase of Crm’s plans.
As Thorne (Lesley-Ann Brandt) and Beale (Terry O’Quinn) reacted positively to the man who tried to escape countless times returning, Michonne spent her time trying to find Jadis’ dossier. Alexandria was...

The penultimate episode of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live was the most shocking episode of the series to date, culminating with Jadis’ (Pollyanna McIntosh) death.
It was a storyline that had been in the works for years, but Jadis lost her life after playing quite the cat-and-mouse game with Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira).
Monsters and Critics was fortunate enough to chat with Pollyanna about her time on The Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, and The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.
Check out the full interview below.
Monsters and Critics: I watched this episode multiple times. It’s just one of those episodes you don’t get very often. Not a single scene is wasted.
Since you left the main series, fans have wanted a resolution for Jadis. We also saw you on World Beyond, but The Ones Who Live brought this arc full circle.

This post contains spoilers for "The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live."
Bad news for Richonne shippers: Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) are currently at odds with one another in "The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live," to the point that their entire relationship is being put to the test. In episode 2, "Gone," we saw the lovers reunite after overcoming impossible odds, hugging and crying until their reunion was cut short by a Crm chopper. Rick repeatedly reminds Michonne not to show who she really is, as being branded as an "A" (a leader willing to die for their cause) is a fate worse than death. The two fabricate a story about accidentally running into each other, where Michonne saved Rick and is simply a "B" (an everyday survivor searching for safety).
Although this cover story is convincing, Michonne is not the kind of person to turn a blind eye to corruption,...

This The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live review contains spoilers.
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live Episode 3
The idea of paying debts is more of a Game of Thrones thing. After all, it’s the Lannister motto, and the show features a whole lot of characters paying off metaphorical debts, if not actual ones. While The Walking Dead doesn’t have any incestuous families scheming to take over the Seven Kingdoms (though they did have a king and there are undoubtedly incestuous families out there among the survivors), the Civic Republic is obviously keeping many secrets. The people of its secret city don’t know what the military does. The military doesn’t know what the elite Frontliners are up to. Within the Frontliners, there are conspiracies and gamesmanship; there’s certainly some sort of monetary system in use by the Crm, but it seems the real currency is personal favors.

Before joining The Walking Dead universe as Pearl Thorne in The Ones Who Live, Lesley-Ann Brandt starred in a variety of roles for TV and film. The South African actor is well-known for taking on projects in horror, fantasy, and other traditionally “nerdy” genres, having appeared in shows like Gotham, The Librarians, and most notably Lucifer.
With a variety of roles under her belt, here’s where else you’ve seen Lesley-Ann Brandt before.
Lucifer
As mentioned previously, Brandt is most known for her role as Lucifer’s (Tom Ellis) right-hand Mazikeen in the hit TV series Lucifer. Mazikeen a.k.a. Maze is known for her fierce loyalty, though she sometimes struggles to adapt her brash nature to the human world. Brandt does a phenomenal job of portraying Maze’s growth from demon with a penchant for sadistic torture to a slightly more vulnerable and human demon with a penchant for sadistic torture.

When Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes exited The Walking Dead in season 9 episode 5 “What Comes After,” he did so in a mysterious fashion. After Rick was near-mortally wounded in a bridge explosion that he triggered to save his community, the enigmatic Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh) came across his unconscious form. She then hailed down a nearby helicopter from an unknown community and delivered an unusual message to its pilot.

This The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live review contains spoilers.
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live Episode 1
The The Walking Dead saga was designed by Robert Kirkman and company to be like a zombie movie that never ends. No gaggle of rednecks wandering through the Pennsylvania woods drinking beer and taking potshots. No helicopter speeding off towards a Caribbean island. No nuclear weapons detonated over Louisville, Kentucky. The Walking Dead was supposed to live forever; to the credit of the show’s creative teams, it came pretty close. Eleven seasons of The Walking Dead, eight seasons of Fear The Walking Dead, two seasons of World Beyond, a season of Tales of the Walking Dead (with another coming), Dead City, Daryl Dixon, and probably more things in the tank for the future.

When Andrew Lincoln exited The Walking Dead in 2018, we were promised a trilogy of movies to tell us what came next for our hero.
Six years later, we’re getting The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, a six-episode limited series that will chart Rick’s story after being handed over by Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh) to the Civic Republic Military (Crm) and Michonne’s (Danai Gurira) harrowing quest to find him.
AMC shared the first four episodes with critics before the premiere, and after waiting so long for this story to come full circle, I can confidently say that it’s a resounding success.
In pre-series press, the cast has been vocal about the show being a love story with a post-apocalyptic backdrop, and that’s probably the best way to describe it.
That doesn’t mean the show has been watered down. The franchise is more cutthroat than ever...

Scott M. Gimple, the co-creator of the new “The Walking Dead” spin-off series “The Ones Who Live,” said he hopes to be able to reunite beloved franchise characters like Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus), Negan Smith (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Maggie Rhee (Lauren Cohan) in an epic series crossover.
“There are so many things with this universe that I plan and put together, but I also know that God laughs, and you have to pivot to something else,” Gimple said. “I absolutely have been working towards that and hoping towards that, but we’ll see what happens. It might be a version of it that no one expects.”

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live has lived a few lives.
The project, which stars Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira, reprising their respective Rick Grimes and Michonne characters, originally was set as The Walking Dead franchise’s first feature-length movie before transitioning into a six-part limited series.

However, Scott Gimple, Chief Content Officer of The Walking Dead universe and showrunner of The Ones Who Live, which is the universe’s sixth spinoff, teased that it might not be that limited.

"The Walking Dead" is the cable franchise that just won't die. The saga that began in 2010 (or 2003 if you count the comic books that spawned it) has so far led to not one or two but six different spin-offs set within the same universe, a number that would be jaw-dropping even if AMC wasn't one of many media companies signing off on large-scale layoffs in recent years. At any rate, the latest spin-off is by far the most narratively promising, as it's set to answer burning questions fans (even those who quit watching ages ago) have about the show's most-loved couple.
That's right, folks: "The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live" is finally going to tell us whether or not Richonne is endgame. The newest spinoff series in the Walking Dead Universe will star Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira as they reprise their roles of Rick Grimes and Michonne, respectively, after the events of the original series. Per the logline, “Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world, built on a war against the dead… And ultimately, a war against the living. Can they find each other and who they were in a place and situation unlike any they’ve ever known before? Are they enemies? Lovers? Victims? Victors? Without each other, are they even alive… or will they find that they, too, are the Walking Dead?”

The second trailer for The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live aims for a mood, and that mood is pervasive dread.
Coming two weeks after the first trailer, the new clip features multiple shots of Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) slaying zombies — it seems to be Rick’s job — while hoping against hope that the other is still alive and they can find each other once again.
That’s the animating principle for the series, which brings Lincoln and Gurira back into the Walking Dead fold after both departed the flagship series in the later years of its run. The trailer also features a slightly longer glimpse at the military force headed by Terry O’Quinn’s character, Beale, who tells Rick that “everything will change” if he comes on board with Beale’s vision.
