There is still a thirst for Hart of Dixie.
The series was canceled by The CW after four seasons in 2015 despite being a top performer on Hulu.
Now, five years later, the series is set to depart Netflix, leaving fans wondering where they will be able to stream the series.
But Wilson Bethel, who starred on all four seasons, is calling for HBO Max to announce a fifth season.
"On the bad news front: turns out @netflix is yanking #HartOfDixie from the lineup in December. So best get your fix while you can," Bethel Tweeted Monday evening, adding:
"Ps. Where you at @hbomax with season 5??? I know the @JoshSchwartz76 & @leilargerstein are down."
If you watch Hart of Dixie online, you know the series did get a decent enough ending, but there were plenty of storylines that could have continued for years.

File under "Things that will mostly bring sadness to Dan..." The CW confirmed on Thursday (May 7) afternoon that "Hart of Dixie" will not be back for a fifth season. This hardly counts as a surprise given that most of the people associated with "Hart of Dixie" treated this as the last season on Twitter and in interviews, but The CW steadfastly refused to confirm the end of the Rachel Bilson small town dramedy, only promoting the last episode as a "season" finale, rather than a "series" finale. But anybody who watched the "Hart of Dixie" season finale knew that it was really and truly a series finale, complete with the main character giving birth, a wedding for two other main characters, another couple moving in together and a climactic musical number stretching from the hospital to the center of town. It was, honestly, a totally satisfying series finale and even...

For the better part of a half-hour into the "Hart of Dixie" finale, Dr. Zoe Hart kept insisting that her pregnancy contractions were just Braxton Hicks contractions and she wasn't having her baby. Those around Zoe Hart suspected she was having her baby. Those of us at home knew she was having her baby. But she just kept saying that she was a doctor and she knew what real contractions were supposed to be like. She was wrong. Zoe Hart had her baby. I liken this in-show situation to the situation surrounding "Hart of Dixie" as a series. "Hart of Dixie" was already on the bubble for renewal the past couple years and it was a minor miracle it lasted this long, since it was never a show that fit with anything in The CW's brand. The CW has already renewed basically everything on its air and some things --...

Another relationship bit the dust on Monday (Feb. 3) night's "Hart of Dixie" ... but it wasn't either of the relationships we were hoping for (cough, Zoe and Joel and Wade and Vivian, cough). Nope, the couple that called it quits was actually AnnaBeth (Kaitlyn Black) and Lavon (Cress Williams).
This was the one couple that was perfect for each other. They were the solid, stable rock at the center of all the crazy relationship issues in Bluebell. They were the heart and soul of the town. They worked so well together and the love they shared was one of those rare connections that it's actually hard to remember a time when they weren't together. But for some reason, Lavon couldn't tell Ab that he was sure, after spending one year together, that she was the love of his life.

After a crazy Hart of Dixie Season 2 finale, we're back in the town of Bluebell for "Who Says You Can't Go Home?."
Zoe struggled to hang onto New York with her deep love of the little town of Bluebell, all the while, trying to win over the community once again. You know what, this episode reminded me of the old Dixie before all of the heartbreak. It was very enjoyable.
First off, Joel? Who the hell is Joel? Why is he here? Am I suppose to care about him? A new life, in five months? Well, at least he's cute. Unfortunately, he doesn't stand a chance with Zoe Hart. He obviously doesn't know the truth about Wade, which will be a big blowout.
Seriously, is anyone else shocked that she lied to her new boyfriend? Yeah, not me.
Elsewhere, Rose made an appearance! I love her! I am so glad she showed up!

Awesome news, Hart of Dixie fans.
Actually, correction: Captain Awesome news!
Ryan McPartlin - best known for his long-running role on Chuck - will stop by an episode of Hart of Dixie Season 3 this fall.
According to TV Guide, the actor will portray an eligible southern gentleman named Carter Covington. Look for all female residents in Bluebell to swoon over him upon making Carter's acquaintance.
The role will reunite McPartlin with Josh Schwartz, the executive producer on both Chuck and Dixie.
Late last month, the series also promoted Kaitlyn Black to series regular. Indeed, we'll be seeing plenty of Annabeth Nass when this fun series returns on October 7.

When Hart of Dixie picks up, lovebirds Lavon and Annabeth (the newly promoted Kaitlyn Black) are “still happily together,” showrunner Leila Gerstein shared recently with TVLine, “but having some tension because his demanding cousin has moved in.”
Said troublemaker, we’ve learned exclusively, will be played by newcomer Antoinette Robertson (Zero Hour, A Gifted Man).
Her character, Lynly, is described as “beautiful yet spoiled and clueless.”
Dexter alum Josh Cooke, meanwhile, will recur in Dixie‘s third season, per The Hollywood Reporter. He joins the CW charmer as a New Yorker who feels out of place upon relocating to Bluebell.

Annabeth is here to stay: "Hart of Dixie" has just promoted the fan-favorite, bubbly Bluebell Belle played by Kaitlyn Black to series regular for Season 3.
"I'm overjoyed to be joining such a talented cast and extremely grateful to be part of the CW family," Black said in an interview with TVLine.
The actress has recurred on the CW southern soap since Season 1, but will now be top-billed along with stars Rachel Bilson, Scott Porter, Wilson Bethel, Cress Williams, Jaime King, and Tim Matheson. Season 3 will also see the introduction of two new recurring characters. Joel, a quintessential New York artist, passes through the charming southern town to get some inspiration for his latest book but finds that he may not want to leave so soon. Lynly, Lavon's spoiled, cluless cousin, arrives to town in the hopes of mending her broken heart. But it turns out that she's not as dumb as she lets everyone think.

Kaitlyn Black is officially moving in to Bluebell.
The CW announced today, via TV Line, that the actress has been promoted to series regular status in anticipation of Hart of Dixie Season 3.

As Dixie creator Leila Gerstein explains it, promoting Black for the upcoming run was a no-brainer. “Kaitlyn started off with one line, and we fell in love with her,...

It’s summertime in Bluebell, Alabama and yet I end up sitting with Wilson Bethel this month in... Austin, Texas!
That's where the second annual Atx Television Festival was held and Bethel was on hand to sit in on a few panels for Hart of Dixie, as well as an actors’ Q&A with co-star Scott Porter, Lucas Neff (Raising Hope) and Nick Wechsler (Revenge).
When we sat down to chat one morning, Bethel had plenty discuss about about his character of Wade Kinsella, his workout ethic in the offseason and his new Web series. Read on for excerpts from our Q&A...

TV Fanatic: What would your hope be if you were kind of pulling the strings on Hart of Dixie Season 3. Would Wade finally get with Zoe for good or would you like to explore some other things?
Wilson Bethel: Who knows what's going on. This...

Just married! Cress Williams tied the knot with Kristen Torrianni in Texas on Saturday, June 15, Us Weekly can confirm. The Hart of Dixie actor's costars Scott Porter, Wilson Bethel and Kaitlyn Black attended the ceremony and reception. Porter (who wed casting producer Kelsey Mayfield in Texas on Apr. 20) shared several pictures from the event via his official Instagram account. One collage features the newlyweds, several floral arrangements and two chalkboards. "Celebrating Cress and his beautiful bride!" Porter wrote in the caption. "Wishing an eternity of [...]...

When The CW's comedy-drama "Hart of Dixie" closes out its second season on Tuesday, May 7, it does it to the music of country trio Gloriana, including the Nashville-based band's hit single, "Can't Shake You."
Taping in March, the band takes the stage at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, Calif., in front of a large crowd of extras, director and series star Tim Matheson, crew, guests, and even cast members who aren't in the scene.
After the first take, with the band lip-syncing to a prerecorded live performance track -- Matheson explains that having a set track allows camera operators to time their shots -- the extras cheer long after "Cut" is yelled out.
Taking a few minutes to chat in the set for Dr. Brick Breeland, Matheson's character, Gloriana member Tom Gossin explains the song choice.
"I came in screaming 'Free Bird,'" he quips to Zap2it, "but they didn't want 'Free Bird.

On The CW's Tuesday-night rom-com "Hart of Dixie," former NFL player Lavon Hayes (Cress Williams), mayor of his small Alabama hometown of BlueBell, has turned out to be quite the ladies' man.
"It seems like it," says Williams to Zap2it, taking a break on the set at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, Calif., during filming of the sophomore show's finale episode, airing May 7. "I'm conquering everybody in BlueBell."
Early on, Lavon had a serious relationship with BlueBell socialite Lemon Breeland (Jaime King), a romance that ultimately torpedoed her marriage to lawyer George Tucker (Scott Porter). Then he had a brief up-and-down romance with bubbly Didi Ruano (Nadine Velazquez).
Then he moved on to his former high-school girlfriend Ruby Jeffries (Golden Brooks), an entrepreneur who returned to BlueBell for family reasons. They came close to marriage, but Ruby's ambitions led her elsewhere. She tried for a comeback, but failed because...

"Where I Lead Me" marked the "long time coming" episode where Zoe and Wade break up. After a dramatic twist of out-of-character in last weeks episode, all of those decisions came to heed and despite Wade's begging he lost Zoe.
On a lighter note we were given more Wanda and Tom as it was their wedding day in Bluebell. I think because of Tom and Wanda, I enjoyed this episode a lot more than I enjoyed last weeks episode.
Please note: When I use the term Ooc - I mean "out of character" which means actions or things said that are something that character wouldn't do in present day form.
I might as well get the negative out of the way before I move onto the happy part of the episode and the bad part is Wade Kinsella. Here's the jist of what happened, the writers needed a reason to...

The flu hit Bluebell in "Lovesick Blues" which brought old couples closer and new couples together. For the most part I enjoyed tonights episode with the exception of Lavon and Annabeth. The greatest part of tonight, which comes as a surprise to me, was Zoe and Wade. For once their storyline was the most adorable and intriguing to me.
Finally, after many episodes absent, Rose had returned! Her young character brings so much humor and lightness to the show that no other character can. Rose is so uniqued and I enjoy seeing and I wish we saw more of her. She revealed that she didn't want to get sick because she had Black Keys concert tickets. Rose was mad because she couldn't go to the concert due to the Bluebell lockdown but let me tell you something, if it were me and I had tickets to see The Black Keys,...

A theme that has been running through Hart of Dixie from the beginning is that the past doesn't disappear because you want it to. Your actions and choices follow you wherever you go and it takes a mighty effort in order to get past whatever issues that may be haunting you. For instance, Lemon, George, Wade, and Lavon have spent much of the second season of Hart of Dixie trying to figure out who they are and whether who they were previously is an accurate representation of who they want to be going forward. It's no surprise, then, that a romance from long ago will be rekindled, as growth and the weight of experience can change a dynamic between two people for the better. But who is going to give it another go later this season?
Below are the dates, episode titles, and full episode descriptions of the next two episodes of Hart of Dixie.

One of the themes of this season of Hart of Dixie is the constant search one has for independence. Dr. Hart, George, and Lemon are each looking to find themselves away from their romantic lives, while Lavon and Ruby strive to find direction in their careers, even if they have to do battle politically to find it. All this maneuvering and the requisite growing pains will be having long-reaching impact on one another and the rest of BlueBell, but at this point, personal evolution might have to trump being the topic of conversation in town for a little while.
Below are the dates, episode titles, and full episode descriptions for the final two Hart of Dixie episodes this month.

Exclusive: Writer-actor-comedian Larry Wilmore is set to co-star opposite Mike Vogel in Living Loaded, Fox’s single-camera comedy pilot from the It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia duo of Rob McElhenney and Rob Rosell and FX Prods. Additionally, Wilmore is prepping a comedy special for Showtime. Based on the book of the same name by Dan Dunn, Living Loaded centers on Dan (Vogel), the loose partying blogger of the popular Living Loaded blog who is forced to change his career plans when he becomes an NPR radio host.
