Last year, a group of producers, writers, designers, and artists, led by Australian writer-director Wade K. Savage, crowdfunded Fallout: Lanius, a live-action fan film shining a light on one of "Fallout: New Vegas"' bloodiest side stories.
By the time the Courier starts rummaging through Goodsprings in "Fallout: New Vegas," Lanius is a Legate, second-in-command of the Ceasar's Legion faction. Before that, though, he was a Hidebark clansmen, strong-arming Roman patrols for fun and profit. Fallout: Lanius is the story of his bloodthirsty rise to power, set in "Fallout"'s post-apocalyptic Mojave Wasteland.
So, ok, some of the acting a little stiff and the crucifixion scene (what?!) is a bit heavy-handed, but Fallout: Lanius a surprisingly fun little bloodletting. Lanius is nothing if not bloody, and it flows in thick, syrupy rivulets over the course of twenty-odd minutes.
Honestly, it's lunch time on the Friday before Labor Day. You're definitely...

For Soundgarden fans, the rock band has, indeed, "Been Away Too Long." Thankfully, the group has unleashed an uneasy music video for that track to ease their mind. The impressive clip is almost entirely in slow-motion, with a mental patient making her way through a ward that's between "Session 9" and "Shutter Island." The wintry setting also hosts German shepherds and gas-masked military guards and she flees through a maze of snow and skulls. It's actually pretty awesome, her attempt to escape and the shattering finale. The creepy director-genius Josh Graham helmed; the art director has also worked with Neurosis, so...

It's been a week since Bethesda revealed their plans to support "Fallout: New Vegas" with three Dlc packs, and today we're getting our first moving glimpse at the next pack. "Honest Hearts" is set in Utah's Zion National Park and features The Burned Man, a mysterious character whose dealings with Caesar's Legion left him set on fire and thrown into the Grand Canyon. Now he's back, looking a lot like Darkman.
The trailer seems to focus on the war between The Burned Man and the New Canaanites. According to the history of Fallout, The Burned Man (aka Joshua Graham) was a Mormon missionary from New Canaan who was originally teamed up with Caesar and used his knowledge of language and culture to ensnare local tribes and bring them into The Legion. Unfortunately, after The Legion's defeat at the hands of the Ncr at the First Battle of the Hoover Dam,...

When I reviewed "Fallout: New Vegas" before the new year, there were a few things I left out of the piece to avoid spoiling plot points. Now that more time has passed since its release, I felt like it was a good time to examine some of the hints in "Dead Money" which point to the future of Dlc for "New Vegas." If you're planning on playing through "Dead Money," and are concerned about spoilers, you should stop reading now.
The Big Empty (aka The Big Mt. Training Facility)
One of the characters you meet in the Sierra Madre is Christine. She starts off as a mute, but eventually you discover that she's actually a member of the Brotherhood of Steel. Her mission was to track down Father Elijah, the main antagonist of "Dead Money," and bring him to justice. Unfortunately, in tracking him down, she was captured and held...
